I had a pretty frustrating experience with Budget. The pickup process was extremely slow—it took about 30 minutes to get my car, even though there were only two people ahead of me in line. That felt unnecessary and poorly managed. Drop-off wasn’t any better. The location was confusing and not clearly marked, which made returning the vehicle more stressful than it should have been. To make matters worse, I was charged $22.06 for gas even though I made sure to fill up the tank right before returning the car. That was really disappointing and felt unfair. Overall, not a great experience. I’d think twice before renting from Budget again.

This is the worst counter for car rental. I waited over 2 hours in a long line of about 25-30 people to finally get my rental car which was supposed to be a mid size SUV and was a cross-over size. The employees working had zero sense of urgency and zero customer service skills. In fact a customer asked what the hold up was and both employees responded rudely and one threatened to walk out and then no one would get their vehicles and called all the customers rude.

Had a long wait time to get in line for the car pickup at PGD airport, about 55 minutes.
I didn’t receive a copy of my receipt online and the car was in need of service on the brakes. I did like the check in process being fairly quick after traveling. The return was easy and straightforward, with no issues.
Super easy pickup and drop off in Punta Gorda. However, the truck we rented had the tint removed but not the adhesive. The windows were super sticky to the touch and would barely go down and getting them back up was a half hour task. ALWAYS check ALL window operations before driving away with your car!! Upon return, no one really cared but some manager gave us a discount as long as we promised to give a 5 star review when Alamo sent a survey!! Is that bribery??
Older car, battery went dead. Instead of bringing me another car After jump starting at my condo, they expected me to take it to the airport and exchange for another car. Car smelled Smokey inside

Got a car where passenger window wouldn’t roll back up. Had to drive over an hour to get a new car. They said they would have one ready for us they didn’t. Then tried to give us a smaller car while making my two kids wait in 95 degree weather.

Our flight was delayed so we rented a car for 3 hours to get away. Car obviously not inspected prior to us. Smelled like smoke. Dirty exterior. Documentation said it was full, but it was under 1/8th full of fuel. Upon return, no one around. Competitor rental company in same parking lot performing check-ins, said, he wasn't surprised. I see charged on my card, that I have no idea why.
The KIA Seltos met all my expectations - cleanliness, cost and the car itself. Rental return was excellent on May 1. Experience getting the vehicle on April 1 was terrible! Took close to an hour to get waited on. No one was at the Budget Rental counter for the longest time. Also never informed this was a Budget rental car and needed to go to that counter.

The price was great but the pickup was unacceptable. It was a 2 1/2 hour wait in line at the counter to pick up the car. We missed our dinner with friends because of the wait. I will never use Avis/budget in Punta Gorda again. There was only one person at the counter for the first 2 hours of waiting time.

Customer service was not good. Rushed people thru without explaining paperwork told to initial everywhere and not explain why. Was charged for extra ins and other th things I would have never agreed to normally the agent would ask if you want these extras and say no. Called after getting my receipt and that customer service was also rude. Will not use avid again
