10.0 Excellent
Pros: Juan Pablo gave us a warm welcome and made us feel right at home the minute we stepped in the door. We arrived exhausted after a day hiking in the park, so arriving to a cozy fire and such a friendly host was wonderful. The views from the living room were out of this world. Laura made us delicious breakfast with scrambled eggs and great coffee. Thank you so much!
10.0 Excellent

Cons: RAS except the room on the street is a little very noisy, but it is not very important

9.6 Excellent
Pros: This is a clean, modern accommodation with welcoming staff and lovely facilities

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful old Woodhouse with spaceious Common rooms. Beautiful Styled as a Boutique Hotel. Very friendly and very helpful Staff! Thank you for everything!
Cons: It was very noisy during the Night. Not from outside but the guests (nighttime arrival, 5am Check out with Lots of Noise...). Only One bathroom for 5 Rooms is not really enough...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very kind and attentive staff. They made sure we could have breakfast a half an hour early and we could store our luggage while we were going on a tour. The young man that did our check in polished two wineglasses for us and let us store our wine in the staff fridge. The room is spacious and even has coffee and tea facilities. Bed is great. Shared bathroom is super clean and the shower is very good! Breakfast was basic, but good. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

10.0 Excellent

Cons: Nothing
7.0 Good
Pros: Super incredibly comfy bed - wonderful
Cons: Noisy nightclub next door going all hours
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Checked in by friendly and personable teenage son who spoke very good English. He also helped me carry my luggage up to the 2nd floor (there are no elevators). Small apartment was comfortable, in excellent condition and very clean, everything we needed in a property for a one night's stay, though would've been great for a longer stay! Breakfast was okay, we didn't have time to linger, so there have been more to it than what was laid out. They called a taxi to take us to the airport and were very helpful in general. Location was near the bus station, which worked for us as we arrived from Ushuaia on the bus. Highly recommend!
Cons: Nothing really.

Good choice of fresh local fish at the Municipal Market, to cook at the hostel. Very nice concert of local musicians and singers at the Main Plaza. Personal approach for serving breakfast, the best during my stays in Chile and Argentina hostels! Very nice and helpful front desk. Thanks!
Cons: none
9.0 Excellent
Pros: What a great stay! The owner and the staff are brilliant. He went out of his way to make us up a lunch bag for our early bus as we were missing breakfast. The beds and the rooms are very comfortable and they can arrange a taxi for early morning pick ups. We stayed twice and we would stay again!

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The people at the front desk were super helpful. They even gave us a 15% discount because of a shorter stay due to flight issues with the current situation in Chile. The food at the restaurant is superb and the bed very comfortable and clean. (I would recommend that they get a new supplier for their bathroom accessories. The plastic body lotion container cracked and burst all over the counter and floor, when I squeezed it.) Wish we could’ve stayed longer!
Cons: See above about the plastic container

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s a gem of a place! Very comfortable and surprisingly design forward for the destination. Lovely staff and great restaurant.
7.1 Good
Pros: Nice view over the town and only a short walk to the main square. Comfy bed and linen, good WiFi.
Cons: I stayed for 4 nights over Christmas and was looking forward to being totally looked after fed and watered. Christmas Eve dinner was awful every course was either poor taste or cold. I was sat opposite the door in from the kitchen which is a road haulage container and as it faces the sea it was very cold where in the end I just gave up and went to bed early. Christmas morning breakfast was the worst breakfast in Memory. My Omelette was 2 whisked eggs fried both sides and then tomato and cheese put in the middle the whole thing sat on my plate dripping in grease. I complained and things did get better on subsequent breakfast put just not worth the money they charge and more surprisingly no one apologised or offered me a free drink to make up for it really terrible and would suggest to look at other options in town before booking this inconsistent hotel.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: This gorgeous hotel was a real surprise for us. I had read reviews but I was delighted to see the design when we arrived. It's very lovingly designed and there is real charm in the entire place. Our room was perfect. We could sit on the terrace or the inside terrace and read whilst looking out over the city. The bed was insanely comfortable and everything was spotless. The restaurant is also great, if a little pricey. I loved the slippers!
Cons: The hill up to the hotel is a bit tricky if trailing suitcases.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great views, a great antidote to standard hotels, great staff
Cons: There was a street concert somewhere far too close which went on until 3am! If these happen frequently then more sound-proofing is needed.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was remarkably attentive. They reached out to me 2 days before arrival to coordinate a ride from the airport to the hotel. They personally showed us the property and our room. The restaurant was surprisingly good and the service was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the camaraderie between guests - world travelers all gathering to explore Patagonia. This is a great launch point with excellent views of the town and a short walk to the ocean.

Hostal Ovejero - Punta Arenas - Building
7
9.0 Excellent (298 reviews)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Almost everything. Even minor irks were reasonable. Would choose this hostel over a hotel if returning to Punta Arenas.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff are super helpful with recommendations and can book all the tours you want to go on which makes it so much easier to get the beat out of your visit.
Cons: There was no English speaker but we managed to muddle through and get all my tours booked.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Owners were very friendly and accommodating.
Cons: Everything was fine
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was cosy and warm.
7.5 Good
Pros: It was clean and reasonably comfortable
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Quiet location, good shower with plenty of hot water, good buffet breakfast
Cons: Creepy, very unsound, stairs and floors make a cracking sound, you can hear the guests next room as if they were directly talking to you, and even as they are speaking in a normal tone of voice, not loud. Some of the staff are not trained enough to deal with extendend bookings appropriately. There are a lack of plates and forks at the breakfast table, I had to go and fetch some everyday in the kitchen myself, because staff was not available. The billing process is insidious and devious, they charge more if you pay in chilean pesos than if you paid with US dollars, because according to them, they have to charge us non residents foreigners a 19% sales tax if we pay in chilean pesos, but not if we pay in US dollars. Now I fully know for a fact that this is pure nonsense, because in reality visitors non residents do not have to pay the sales tax in Chile even if you pay in chilean pesos. I know this for sure because I stayed in lots of other chilean hotels in the past 50 days and never had to pay the 19% sales tax because I am a foreign non resident, and even as I paid in Chilean pesos everytime no other hotel/hostal has ever charged me extra for that. They also charged me US $20.00 extra to wash six items of my clothing, some of them underwear and socks, a ridiculous high amount Then they made the paying process even more cumbersome, I had to fill out an extra form in order to be able to pay in US dollars. Staff should be more adequately trained and ask guests if they wish to stay longer before they rent the room to somebody else.

Cons: Bit far for walking to main plaza and restaurant streets.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff, good beds, clean, cool contempary looks on outside, strong water pressure out of shower
Cons: Bathroom is very small, step over the toilet to enter the shower, layout apartment is not logic, with small sleeping rooms. where beds are placed against windows, furniture old fashioned, but for the price overall its very good value, so not complaining
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, breakfast delivered to the room when you like.
Cons: Wifi was very slow (1mbps).

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was on high level for that part of the world!!!
5.4 Okay
Pros: The view was fantastic!!!
Cons: Breakfast was ordinary. Front desk was not very informative or helpful. Suite was located beside the elevator and was noisy! The vibe of the place was not good. Lots of focus on the casino visitors.
9.0 Excellent
Cons: We were there in their summer. Overall, a really nice property overlooking the Strait of Magellan. Large rooms and large bathrooms. Good breakfast buffet. Also there's a nice cafe with coffee, sandwiches, pizza, etc in the lobby. My only complaint is that the room was a little too warm for us. There was 1 window that opened a few inches, but no AC (in their defense, the summer down there too super short to warrant AC, and we like a cold room). They brought up a fan when I asked about AC. The staff was very helpful. I recommend this hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the facilities, loved the location and would highly recommend a room with a sea view. Free underground parking and staff was friendly.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were very impressed with these cabins - the location is pretty much walking distance to everything, which is nice. The cabins are beautifully appointed, with every amenity in the bathroom, including a shower that converts to a rainforest shower head. The kitchen contains a small fridge, microwave, stove top, and electric kettle, along with plates, cutlery, etc. Beds are comfy, wifi is good, and there is a cable TV. We were able to park our tall vehicle inside a security gate, which is always a priority for us. The manager was extremely responsive, even allowing us to check in at 10:30pm when we had to take a late ferry from Porvenir.
Cons: The cabin does not have an oven, which we usually love to use when we stay in places, but we understand why. The only other issue was very minor, and involved a very sensitive motion-sensor light that kept going on during the night when windy, which shone into our bedroom window.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very central location so we could walk everywhere we wanted/needed to go. Secure private parking with no height restriction. Very well-appointed rooms and comfortable bed. Good wifi. Very responsive manager - we were able to check in at 10:30pm after arriving on the late ferry.
Cons: Probably the only annoying thing, and it’s minor, is that we stayed in a cabin that faced another cabin, which had a movement-activated light on the front porch. Our bedroom had a window d]facing this light, so it shone inside whenever the light turned on, which was a lot - it seemed a bit sensitive, especially with the crazy wind.

Pros: Nice seating upstairs area with pleasant balcony. The breakfast is good with eggs, cheese, salami. The highlight was the staff, they are very friendly and helped me book a great tour.
Cons: It would be nice if the sheets were made prior to check in.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Waffles for breakfast, the view from the cosy living room, spacious dorm for 10
Cons: Distance to the centre, lack of ventilation/fresh air in the dorm room, a piece of fresh fruit would be nice instead of the canned fruit.
7.1 Good
Pros: Quiet and on the seashore
Cons: When you are staying only one night it is too far from the center - I don’t mind to walk but you have to think about getting some food before going back to the hostel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Best breakfast we had in Patagonia with waffles. Just made my day :) nice common area.
Cons: Bit out of town but you have a great view of the ocean. :) unfortunately we could not lock our rooms door although we had a 6 bed room for ourself
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing view and good breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view was amazing and the hostel was comfortable. The lady at reception was really noxe
Cons: As arrived at around 10am and weren’t able to check in and it was a very long walk to town, maybe some maps at the front desk would help
5.4 Okay
Pros: View of Magellan Straits from window. Lounge area comfortable and pleasant. Good atmosphere amongst guests.
Cons: The communal kitchen, including pots & pans very dirty. We had to request a new kitchen waste bin as it was overflowing with refuse. No attempt to check CCTV after we reported theft of our labelled food from the kitchen. Laundry returned minus 2 items Impossible to adjust rented bikes..... otherwise OK!

Cons: Wifi was very slow (1mbps).

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s clean and comfy with nice decor. Our room had plenty of space and a view out to the town and water. All of the staff were really lovely. We ate at the restaurant, the food was nice. We were shattered from flying and went to bed pretty early. At breakfast a chef was making omelettes to order which was great. Our transfer picked us up from outside and off we went to Torres del Paine. No regrets staying here.

7.0 Good
Pros: Very helpful staff and nice facilities and location. We were initially placed in a top level room which smelled very stronger of mildew to the point that our throats were burning within a few minutes. The staff was able to move us to a new room which was much better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is great, you can walk to most of what you would want to see and do in PA. Hotel is very nice, very comfortable. Staff were excellent. We had to leave for a flight at 4 am and they made sure breakfast was available for us.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It’s right next to the Bus Sur stop, so very convenient for travelling. The hotel has very nice staff, is clean and well managed.
Cons: It’s not the most inspiring property and a fairly standard place to stay. The breakfast is fine, but nothing special. However, for the price it’s quite acceptable.

Pros: Great place !!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Best Western Finis Terrae is a nice hotel that's right in the middle of town. Check in was normal as we arrived on an early flight and our room was not ready, the desk held our luggage for us so we could walk around town a little bit. Some of the guys at the desk spoke English. We got back around noon and checked in to a spacious room with a sit ting area, safe, wifi, and an ok sized bathroom that had a tub. Breakfast was included and consisted of fruits, eggs, bacon, breads, some pastries, coffee and juice. The view from the restaurant was very nice as its on the 6th floor and not many buildings obscure is view. The hotel is right in the middle of evening within close proximity of restaurants, money exchange, supermarkets, laundry, stores and tourist sites (all of which we used). Check out was also smooth and they held our luggage again as we didn't have to check in for our cruise until late afternoon so we could go do additional site seeing and shopping.
Cons: The TV was a little fuzzy at times, the desk didn't tell us we needed a safe key so I had to walk back downstairs to get it but these are minor inconveniences.
7.0 Good
Pros: Staff really friendly and welcoming, nothing was a bother for them. Hotel is in a great central location and in 10 minutes you can walk to the shops in one direction, restaurants in another and it’s a straight road to the shore front

8.0 Excellent
Cons: Came in summer. Room was a bit too warm. I asked for the water side which had a lovely view. The only downside was to cool off the room, we opened the window & there is much street/traffic noise as a main highway is in front of the hotel.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great.
Cons: It would have been helpful if the front desk had an informal map of the area.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, with restaurants and shops only a few blocks away.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed and pillows. Front desk staff were great.
Cons: Kitchen staff were standing around talking while automatic coffee machine was out of beans. Multiple people attempted to get coffee right in front of them and they made no effort. They did have a lively conversation while ignoring the guests though.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, great breakfasts, and good restaurant for lunch and evening meals. Good all round value.
Cons: The noise form the motorcyclists and fast motor cars in the early hours. Police need to be a little more engaging with those noise polluters! That was the only downside. Great looking ocean views from the front rooms.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Decent breakfast
Cons: The reception called at 6a. I told them not to call again but they did so again at 6:50a for me to pick up a bag. Who does that?

Cons: Noisy motorcycles!
