Excellent 10.0
Pros: Miriam and Manuel are very hospitable and kind. Staying at this B&B is as if you were welcomed into a family friend's home.
Good 7.1
Pros: Close to Bus Fernandez terminal.
Cons: Would not give me a key so felt obliged to return early in the evening
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Amazing and friendly hosts! Wonderful breakfast and I slept well in my room which was clean :)
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I felt completely at home
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This is a great place to stay if you’re ever in Punta Arenas. The hosts, Miriam and Manuel, couldn’t be more friendly and helpful and their house is lovely and cosy. Breakfast was very nice and Manuel arranged transport to take me to the airport in the morning. A highly recommended B&B.
Cons: Nothing, everything was perfect!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Miriam prepared me breakfast fit for a Queen - a vegetarian queen I will add. Freshly baked bread, fruit, cereal, jams, juice and tea.
Cons: Everything was perfection
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Hosts are super nice, warm, welcoming, considerate and accommodating. Lovely people who try to make every effort for their guests to feel at home. Granted, it doesn't have the amenities and convenience of a hotel, but you do feel at home. Everything is clean.
Cons: room not big, bathroom not ensuite. Without the help of Google Translate, non-Spanish speakers may find it hard to communicate properly with the hosts.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Miriam and Manuel truly earn and deserve all the excellent accolades they have been given. I stayed four nights in their "home away from my home" and was exceedingly pleased with accommodations, privacy, the included breakfasts with Miriam's delicious home-baked bread, and the convenient, clean, quiet home they provide for guests...as if they are family---and when my ferry was delayed, and their accommodations were full, they found another hostel for me for the additional night---it was all right, but NOT the same! Miriam and Manuel are wonderful people, and you cannot do better than to stay with them in their cozy home!

Excellent 8.8
Pros: Almost everything. Even minor irks were reasonable. Would choose this hostel over a hotel if returning to Punta Arenas.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Owners were very friendly and accommodating.
Cons: Everything was fine
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff is really good, very clean place
Cons: breakfeast could be earlier though, we could not have it as we left for the Isla Magdalena tour. I imagine many guests do that, so it could be adjusted (just a sugestion)
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was cosy and warm.
Good 7.5
Pros: It was clean and reasonably comfortable
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: Quiet location, good shower with plenty of hot water, good buffet breakfast
Cons: Creepy, very unsound, stairs and floors make a cracking sound, you can hear the guests next room as if they were directly talking to you, and even as they are speaking in a normal tone of voice, not loud. Some of the staff are not trained enough to deal with extendend bookings appropriately. There are a lack of plates and forks at the breakfast table, I had to go and fetch some everyday in the kitchen myself, because staff was not available. The billing process is insidious and devious, they charge more if you pay in chilean pesos than if you paid with US dollars, because according to them, they have to charge us non residents foreigners a 19% sales tax if we pay in chilean pesos, but not if we pay in US dollars. Now I fully know for a fact that this is pure nonsense, because in reality visitors non residents do not have to pay the sales tax in Chile even if you pay in chilean pesos. I know this for sure because I stayed in lots of other chilean hotels in the past 50 days and never had to pay the 19% sales tax because I am a foreign non resident, and even as I paid in Chilean pesos everytime no other hotel/hostal has ever charged me extra for that. They also charged me US $20.00 extra to wash six items of my clothing, some of them underwear and socks, a ridiculous high amount Then they made the paying process even more cumbersome, I had to fill out an extra form in order to be able to pay in US dollars. Staff should be more adequately trained and ask guests if they wish to stay longer before they rent the room to somebody else.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: A perfect stay in a warm, comfortable room; new sparkling clean tiny bathroom, wonderfully soft bed linen, excellent WiFi and a very nice and copious breakfast. But most of all, a dear and more than helpful owner! Whatever you need, Carmen will have it or find the answer for it!! Thanks a miilion for a great stay in pleasant Punta Arenas.
Cons: It is a bit far from the center, although feasible on foot, BUT colectivos number 011 stop right by the house door and takes you anywhere in the center for only 500 pesos and you never wait long for them so no problem at all.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: If you are looking for a traditional chilean home, with pieces of history in its decoration and a lovely host, there you are!. My bed was so cozy, also the room's temperature was great. The shower Is PERFECT. The breakfast has yogurt, cereal, coffee or tea, cheese, butter, ham, bread, juice, marmalade, cookies (If you are vegetarian or have some preferences like taking fruits for breakfast, you should tell the host, she gladly will help). If you need a silent room, in the middle of Punta Arenas this Is a really nice deal, acording price/distance. *There Is a corner store and a great place to buy hot sandwiches nearby. *Rooms are upstairs* *you'll be provided with keys for the room/home/fence* *bus stop nearby*
Excellent 9.2
Pros: This is a cosy bed and breakfast in a local home which is located in a quiet suburb of the town. It was about 30min walk from the bus terminal. Carmen, the owner, was very accommodating. I managed to communicate even with my broken Spanish. She helped me book my airport transfer. I was able to use the kitchen to cook dinner. Breakfast was simple but substantial. My room was really warm and cosy. There is a supermarket about 10min down the main road on foot.
Cons: Perhaps a little far from the town centre. Didn't bother me too much as I only stayed one night but may be an issue for others who stay longer.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Very pleasant host. Comfortable room. La anfitriona muy amable. Habitación cómodo.
Cons: A little from from the center of town but there are economical taxis. Un poco lejos del centro pero hay taxi económicos.
Good 7.9
Pros: The hostel is very basic and a bit far from the city center but it is charming and has a lot of detailes. The owner is very-very nice, attentive and helpful. I felt like staying at my grandparent‘s place (in a very positive way). Highly recommended!
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The owner of the hostel is so friendly and accommodating. She didn't speak english and we understand only enough to understand basic needs. We arrived at 10.30pm, rushed across the street to get some food and she made us a cup of tea so that we have something to drink with our dinner! One of the best host ever. The place is a house with rooms separated. its nice, warm and cosy. Although noise does travel in this house but so does all hostels. Location is not in the centre of the city but we had a car so it was not an issue.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Good location, walking distance to restaurants and only 2 blocks away from Bus Fernandez station. Breakfast was good and they were able to accommodate diet restrictions. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Nice staff, good beds, clean, cool contempary looks on outside, strong water pressure out of shower
Cons: Bathroom is very small, step over the toilet to enter the shower, layout apartment is not logic, with small sleeping rooms. where beds are placed against windows, furniture old fashioned, but for the price overall its very good value, so not complaining
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Clean and tidy
Cons: The water in the shower doesn’t drain.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Friendly staff, breakfast delivered to the room when you like.
Cons: Wifi was very slow (1mbps).
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Big and spacious room, well equiped. The bed was so comfortable! Because of our early flight they provided us lunch boxes. Totally recommended.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Excellent value for money. Really good breakfast. Good shower flow and heat. Adjustable room temperature. 10 min walk to main centre. Boxed breakfast option if you do a penguin or other tour with an early start. Staff speak good English with 24hr reception. Highly recommended place to stay at a very good price.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Responsive staff (called taxis for us, let us check-in and bring back immigration documents later instead of frantically searching at arrival, made restaurant and tour suggestions). Breakfast brought to room.
Cons: Shower was small and water pressure shot the shower head off its holder.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Deceiving from the outside but modern and beautiful decorated. Highly recommend this property.
Cons: We loved it, we wish our stay was longer.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We were very impressed with these cabins - the location is pretty much walking distance to everything, which is nice. The cabins are beautifully appointed, with every amenity in the bathroom, including a shower that converts to a rainforest shower head. The kitchen contains a small fridge, microwave, stove top, and electric kettle, along with plates, cutlery, etc. Beds are comfy, wifi is good, and there is a cable TV. We were able to park our tall vehicle inside a security gate, which is always a priority for us. The manager was extremely responsive, even allowing us to check in at 10:30pm when we had to take a late ferry from Porvenir.
Cons: The cabin does not have an oven, which we usually love to use when we stay in places, but we understand why. The only other issue was very minor, and involved a very sensitive motion-sensor light that kept going on during the night when windy, which shone into our bedroom window.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very central location so we could walk everywhere we wanted/needed to go. Secure private parking with no height restriction. Very well-appointed rooms and comfortable bed. Good wifi. Very responsive manager - we were able to check in at 10:30pm after arriving on the late ferry.
Cons: Probably the only annoying thing, and it’s minor, is that we stayed in a cabin that faced another cabin, which had a movement-activated light on the front porch. Our bedroom had a window d]facing this light, so it shone inside whenever the light turned on, which was a lot - it seemed a bit sensitive, especially with the crazy wind.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: All the staff spoke English and were very helpful.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Waffles for breakfast, the view from the cosy living room, spacious dorm for 10
Cons: Distance to the centre, lack of ventilation/fresh air in the dorm room, a piece of fresh fruit would be nice instead of the canned fruit.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Its really clean and good common area. Breakfast is really nice too.
Cons: Its a little far away from the city center. That's the only downside.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Best breakfast we had in Patagonia with waffles. Just made my day :) nice common area.
Cons: Bit out of town but you have a great view of the ocean. :) unfortunately we could not lock our rooms door although we had a 6 bed room for ourself
Okay 4.0
Pros: The views from the common room area are fantastic.
Cons: The room was tiny and the breakfast was awful. We were leaving very early and orange juice had been laid out for everyone except us, and no milk for us either. It was raining heavily when we were there but there didn't appear to be anything of interest close by except the sea front. Overpriced.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Everybody was so nice and forthcoming, they helped us with everything we needed. The atmosphere was very young and chilled. They had a big living room with a view to the ocean, which was really nice.
Cons: The room was a little too small, and it is 20-30 minutes away from downtown

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Nice house in quiet area. Space for the parking inside the yard. Spacious common area. Good breakfast.
Cons: Nothing.
Okay 4.6
Pros: Location was perfect, view is perfect, inside the parc.
Cons: The hotel is extremely outdated. Bathrooms are 50 yr old, the was to simple. There is no interest in food or wine quality.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: We got a breakfast package for our early morning trip to Isla Magdalena.
Cons: creaking floorboards (yes we knew the house was old)
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The historic, quirky building and the relaxed atmosphere
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast was great, location is very handy to bus stations, Cynthia is an extraordinarily warm and generous hostess
Cons: My faucet water ran brown initially, but only briefly - I drank it afterwards with no ill effects
Excellent 8.3
Pros: The hostal has a quirky charm with its antique finishings.
Cons: The house creaks a lot when anyone moves around so you get a bit of noise from the other guests
Excellent 9.6
Pros: LOvely private home with a very helpful proprietor.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The hostess was amazing. It felt like we were visiting a relative. Very homely and comfortable.

Pros: Friendly staff, the apartment is a bit old, but warm, comfortable and let you feeling home.
Cons: Nothing to complain
Excellent 8.3
Pros: The gentleman who greeted us was lovely, we arrived early and he was kind enough to make us breakfast as we waited for our room. We were in room 2 which was super spacious and comfortable.
Cons: Location was a little bit out of the main town (15mins walk) but not a problem for us. Taxis are super cheap if you’d prefer not to walk.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Staff was very friendly, helping to book a tour to see the penguins in the area.
Cons: Paying cash to avoid paying VAT seems wrong to me. Why should paying VAT be applied with one payment method or another. Maybe its just the Chilean laws that I do not understand.
Good 6.3
Pros: The location is great
Cons: The room was cold, the radiator wouldn't turn on
Good 6.7
Pros: Staff was really nice, so good advices of places to eat and places to see in the city, and good Wi-Fi
Cons: Too much noise around all day and early in the morning, we were room number 1, next to the steps, and you can hear everything, even the room next to us
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Quiet quaint hostel on street with little traffic. Cemetery is only one block away and the city plaza is about a fifteen minute walk. Really enjoyed the breakfast spread.
Cons: The hostel is an older building therefore has it has more to say. Anyone going up and down the stairs mad a lot of noise.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lovely place with a bed and breakfast feel. Staff were really helpful with information and organising tours. Warm rooms and comfy beds

Pros: Small rooms, but very comfortable. Definitely would stay here again if in Punta Arenas. The breakfast área was very nice and was open in the evenings to relax in.
Cons: It was very nice, did not dislike anything.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Big, quiet and clean room. We had to leave early and they packed us some breakfast for the trip
Cons: No lift
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Room was a little small for 3 ppl and could be difficult to manage with luggage, but we managed
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Tidy and quaint with a great breakfast room and breakfast to go with it!
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
Good 7.5
Pros: Super helpful and smiley staff. Great giant bed and nice en-suite.
Cons: The pillows were not clean. There were small hairs all over the bedding. The smell was not fresh (with the exception of the bed sheet, which was clean). I consider clean pillows essential. And loads of hair on the shower wall.
Good 7.5
Pros: Location was OK, walking distance from restaurants, water front. Good breakfast.
Cons: No eggs for breakfast. Narrow stairs. Bedroom behind office was very small with street noise.

Pros: -
Cons: The hole place was really old and very dirty. The blancets that should be white were actually yellowish brown dirty and had holes. The glases in the bathroom were dirty. The breakfast was absolutly poor.
Good 7.1
Pros: Staff was good
Cons: Location is pretty far from center and has a long ascension to get to the hostel
Good 7.1
Pros: It is clean and staff was very nice and accommodating.
Cons: It’s old and near a busier street with traffic.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything was good and decent, more family oriented than backpackers. We left at dawn early and they accommodated breakfast. Great value for what you pay for.

Pros: Well located for both the town centre and the airport. Large, modern bathroom.
Cons: Room was cramped.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hostel is very cosy and clean. The personnel was really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very tasty: good coffee, yogurt, eggs, cheese, jam, cereals etc. I felt myself like at home!
Mediocre 3.3
Pros: There was nothing special that I liked about Hostal Cordillera
Cons: As the room facilities were far below the specifications provided by Booking.com website, we were asking for clarification to the receptionist (we showed him the website details also) as it was nothing but cheating. He mentioned that he would get clarification from his boss. But even after repeated requests, he did not allow us to speak to his boss. The facility was managed (both lodging and boarding) by two persons (including receptionist) only. Both were not able to understand English. The Breakfast was also not upto the mark. We explained that we are "Vegetarian" and there are very few vegetarian items. So at least some fresh fruits should be arranged. But the same was also not provided. There was no shuttle service (on chargeable basis also) available.
Okay 4.2
Pros: Good breakfast.
Cons: We informed ahead of time that we would arrive late. We had booked 2 rooms. One for 4 and 1 for 5. They needed to set up an additional bed in one of the rooms but it wasn’t ready. When they tried to make the bed out of a sofa, this one was broken and they offered to changed us to another room for an extra 120 USD. After much complain (at 2:00 AM) they finally put us in another room for free. Personnel is unprepared and unprofessional.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: We had to wake up earlier than expected for our flight. They were able to accommodate us with breakfast and a taxi that was right on time.
