Oslo hotels near Oslo Royal Palace

Pros: Fab breakfasts, comfiest bed I've slept in, decor was great, staff very friendly and great cocktail making at the bar!!!

Pros: The gym is so good in this hotel! Breakfast is lovely with so many options but get very crowded. The pool is misleading in photos and is extremely tiny and unfortunately the sauna and steam room were not working during our stay. Service at the downstairs could be appalling at times.

Pros: Amazing breakfast. It is the first time that I find in a breakfast buffet such a wide variety of food. They even offered an entire avocado. They have Rituals amenities and nice decoration.

Pros: Location at Central Station, walking distance to many major attractions

Cons: Room was tiny, impossible to get to the window because bed filled the whole space

Cons: Room was way too warm to my taste. You could not adjust the temperature in the room (it was set to the lowest). The working desk could be a bit more comfortable. Desk is a bit too high compared to seat height.

Pros: All tourist sites easily accessed. The hotel is very central and public transport is very easy to use. The hotel has an upbeat vibe.

Pros: Good location, very modern, clean and cosy. And the breakfast was good too.

Cons: The only thing I could mention is that the shower doors in my bathroom didn't close all the way, so water went all over the floor. But otherwise, very good.

Pros: I like the location of the hotel, to central station 15minutes by walking. Hotel is in center of Oslo. Breakfast was really good, bathroom is clean... Staff was very helpfullll!

Pros: Very good location of the hotel. The breakfast was perhaps small but I could find everything I needed, there were some nice different things to choose off. The staff was really nice and service minded. The room were clean and nice beds.

Pros: The staff were really friendly, spoke perfect English, and really looked after us. The hotel is very well situated, a few minutes walk from both the city centre, the city hall and Akker Brygge area on the harbourside (restaurants and bars) - it's a pretty quiet area but with lots of places to eat and drink nearby.

Cons: Apparently it would have been perfect if there were coffee/tea-making facilities in the room, and a mirror outside of the bathroom (according to my partner!). No real complaints about our stay though, it was quiet and the accommodation was fine.

Pros: Great breakfast and location very close to the central station and the main sites in the city. A very nice clean establishment in the city center.

Cons: The room itself was quite tiny but suited our needs for a place to sleep and refresh.

Pros: Super friendly staff, not only breakfast but a generous dinner included as well. Internet speed higher than our nbn in Australia (60 down and 90 up). I like their efforts to reduce waste, both with reminders in the restaurant to “Take what you want but eat what you take” and with large soap wall dispensers in the shower and next to the basin. Bed is super comfy. The hotel provided a Bose Bluetooth speaker to connect to. Room is adequately sized, shower is nice. Could not really fault this hotel.

Cons: The wine selection is rubbish and both wine and beer are very expensive for what they are, but that’s mostly Norway I think

Pros: The room was comfortable but no frills. It is very close to the main Oslo train station (Oslo S) so we easily walked or caught buses, trains, and trams to wherever we needed to go. The room included breakfast and the breakfast buffet was very good (fairly typical of European breakfast buffets, but - still - very good). The staff is friendly and speaks English well. It was easy to leave our bags in the locked self-storage room while we traveled overnight to see the fjords.

Pros: The bed was great and felt so soft all around me. Also the location is really convenient if you use the train to and from the airport. The breakfast is decent and I loved the fact that they offered me fruit at the reception when I arrived.

Cons: I asked for a quiet room because i was there for work and they paid attention to it. Unfortunately I heard noice of a kind of club or bar every night where they seemed to open the backdoor every now and then. At night 4 there was a terrible bass beat that kept me awake. When I left I asked the lady at the reception about it, she denied that there were any bars or clubs in the area and she ignored the fact that I had a bad sleep because of this. The reaction didn't show hospitality or any interest me as a client. Besides this, the hotel also looks really dark inside. My room hardly had any daylight (small courtyard) and the breakfastroom hardly had any daylight (only through the roof at some place).

Cons: The counter staff on arrival was quite unfriendly and did not offer much assistance when asked. However, the counter staff upon checkout was very helpful and friendly which really put a smile on our face.

Cons: I booked the hotel because it advertised free parking. I don’t know how they can claim this with only 6 parking spots at the hotel. When we arrived to 6 occupies spots, the staff told me I could pay for parking on the street (clearly not free parking). They finally agreed to park my car in an alley and move it if needed. Instead, they woke me up early the next morning because they needed me to move my car so another guest could leave (the hotel clerk did not have his driver’s license). This happened again later in the morning... not ‘free parking’.

Pros: Location was convenient and quiet. A bit away from the city center but easy bus/tram ride away. Breakfast was good. I found the little shower enclosure ingenious. Shows you can have a functional bathroom in about 20 square feet. Staff was helpful

Pros: Very nice and elegant house. My room was super comfortable and cozy. The breakfast was one of the bests I ever had while staying in a hotel. I really enjoyed my time there and definitely would come back. Btw: its a nice walk to Saga Hotel from central station through the city center and along the castle.

Pros: Check in and check out are easy. The location is great, especially if you are taking the train. The people who work there are willing to answer any and all questions you have. The rooms are clean and the bed is small, but comfortable.

Cons: I could hear all of the people talking outside the Escape Games that were across the street. I was on the third floor.

Cons: The room was tiny and had an odour of tobacco. The central large light above the bed remained on dim all night which was not comfortable. It was impossible to make the room fully dark. The fittings and furniture were of poor quality and the desk creaked every time we moved. One socket was blocked and it wasn't possible to charge our phone.

Pros: Great location to all in Oslo. Bathroom and room were great for just me, didn’t spend a lot of time in the room so why pay more for a bigger room that you don’t spend time in?

Cons: Was a bit noisy due to some exterior construction on the building next door but that’s nothing that can be controlled by the hotel.

Cons: Unpleasant smell in room, but otherwise was clean. Hadn't understood the CityBox concept stripped of all amenities, so was disappointed. Lobby area was dark and uninviting. Felt a little creepy and unwelcoming. Seemed more like a dorm than a hotel.
