Pros: Very welcoming, room lovely very clean and ideal family room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fabulous - ample and varied; all tastes and dietary needs were catered for. Such a friendly atmosphere - we were treated like guests rather than customers. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Cons: Limited choice of places to go to eat that are in walking distance. The one recommended place, which we visited, was adequate but definitely over-priced

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loved the homemade yogurt And general friendliness of staff
Cons: Really very little but if they had put the jam in lovely containers not in the jars Homemade would have been ideal Also get rid of plastic cups in the bathroom
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous
Cons: The light in the bathroom turned on and off by movement sensor meaning the bright light stayed on for ages if you needed to pee during the night. This was only an issue for us because the kids were asleep in the little room adjacent to the bathroom. No big deal though, but might be helpful to the owners to know this was less than ideal
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very well located at few steps of Place Jeanne d’Arc
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very charming historic hotel conveniently located in downtown Orleans. Loved the bee décor! Wonderful view of the city from the rooftop garden. Very walkable, and the tram is also close. Check-in lady was very welcoming and helpful, couldn't be more charming! We had two rooms connected by a small hallway which was very convenient.
Cons: It's an older building (although well-kept and well-furnished) but getting to the room required climbing twisting stairs with a suitcase--there is no lift. This was ok for us, but may be a bit difficult for others.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable beautique hotel with bags of style.
Cons: Lacking a lift
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and so well run. Staff excellent and helpful.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location and decor excellent.
Cons: Paying e4 for a cup of tea with not a toast etc
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I like the atmosphere and the room was super clean and the bed super comfortable.
Cons: The room was a little smaller than I expected as it was a superior category. The breakfast buffet was nice but I would have been happy with less, and cheaper. I don't eat much in the morning and there was no option to choose only what I really wanted.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. Nice French breakfast. Nice location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A superb hotel. The owner is obviously very proud of the hotel which shows in her passion, the decor, comfort, cleanliness, friendliness, helpfulness. The location is perfect for exploring Orleans.

Pros: Great location , helpful & friendly staff
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent if you want to explore the city center and the old city. The hotel has parking facilities that need to be reserved as the parking garages are individual and rather small. The room was quiet, on the small side but very clean. The bedding is good and the shower is big. Breakfast is an additional charge but good value for money. The buffet is adequate and ranges from freshly squeezed orange juice via scrambled eggs and cheese and ham and different breads to pancakes and other sweet pastries. On arrival we were given a map with the sights. The young man who welcomed us was very kind and extremely helpful.

Pros: The room is fine with a good bed and a renovated bathroom. Very friendly staff and fantastic breakfast. It has an unbeatable location. Totally recommended.
Cons: Bathroom a little small and without shower screen the water comes out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Always love this hotel and always stay here on the route to the west of France. Location is fantastic and all the facilities you need are great. Parking is available at the hotel and if they are full it’s easy to find a space on the street or in a very close car park. For the first time here we had a problem and the response of staff was faultless, you can tell more about an establishment by the way they respond to difficulties and this was extremely positive. We love staying so close to the beautiful city and the cathedral, the city is amazing and there is a huge range of restaurants and bars.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location minutes from beautiful old town. Secure garage for car and our bikes at the hotel was a plus. Extremely friendly and helpful front of house staff. Double room was small but perfectly adequate and clean.
Cons: Nothing really - for an overnight stay right in the heart of town it was ideal.

Pros: Staff were very helpful

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great host, friendly and helpful . Quirky but clean room and close to main attractions.
Cons: Saturday night revellers and Sunday morning shouting in the street audible in the room. Not hotel’s fault !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming and accommodating host, great location. Highly recommend it.
Cons: Small toilet room - couldn’t close the door.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in the recently renovated Paris room. Small but well decorated. Lovely shower. Host welcoming, carrying bags up to our 2nd floor room. We purchased his breakfast delivered fresh to our room the next morning. An assortment of bread, buns, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice, jams, butter. It is a perfect location to all the sites. A 2 min walk to the trams and 10 min walk to the Gare de Orleans. Our host was very helpful with suggestions and speaks English very well.
7.1 Good
Pros: Lovely staff at reception. Bed very comfortable. Great location.
Cons: Bathroom not separated by door. Room needs refurbishment. Curtains don’t close properly at night.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The owner was extremely friendly and accommodating and the room was very clean.
Cons: The street noise continued until 3.30 am as it seemed to be a thoroughfare. We were there on a Friday and Saturday night so probably the two busiest nights of the week. The toilet was right beside the bed and it was very small. The shower was also very small and difficult to get in and out of but my husband does have a bad leg which made it more difficult.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, location is excellent. Highly recommended.

Citotel Marguerite - Orléans - Bedroom

8.4 Excellent (1,013 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at Citotel Marguerite places you in the heart of Orleans, within a 5-minute walk of House of Joan of Arc and Place du Martroi. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and an elevator.
6.3 Good
Pros: Good location.
Cons: We thought that it was too expensive for what you got for your money.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Central location clean friendly staff Definitely will stay again
6.3 Good
Pros: Location was good
Cons: Small family room, hot and cramped.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was perfect, typical French. Perfect location and great parking deal with a local garage.
Cons: It's just an old building. Room key was bulky.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable beds - extremely clean. Good shower. The hotel is in an excellent location, close to the old town yet in a relatively quiet street.
Cons: There was noise from the room above which could have been reduced by adequate floor coverings.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We booked this hotel knowing it was a 2 Star Hotel so we’re not expecting anything flash. We were a little put off by the tiredness of the common areas but the room was fine, clean and very large. It was immaculately clean and the bed large and comfortable. It was quiet through the night. Breakfast although basic was actually very good with very fresh bread and pastries. The staff here are excellent and very helpful.
Cons: Quality of the shower enclosure and it’s small size. But it didn’t spoil our stay.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nicely decorated hotel in the heart of the city - large, light room with big windows and a good size en-suite shower room. Bed was comfortable and room was very clean. Location is spot on - just a short walk to the old town/cathedral/main square with discounted parking just across the street. Friendly, helpful reception staff.
Cons: We didn't have breakfast, but the area (can't call it a restaurant!) looked very small - not sure how many rooms the hotel has but there only seemed to be about 6/8 tables for 2 people so I would imagine it might get quite busy! Sound-proofing (as you'd expect in an old building) not great, so we were woken early by business travellers leaving the hotel. Not a massive issue, overall we had a super stay.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We chose the cheapest room and it was great, basic but clean, tidy and more than adequate. Breakfast is also very good value, great coffee, everything very fresh and a selection is served on trays to each table.
Cons: No complaints at all
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Unbeatable location - can walk everywhere. Very comfortable bed and clean room. We were on the top floor at the back. No air conditioning but it was fine in September - may not be so during summer. All ataff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Easy to miss as the entrance is a door off the side of a building.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location is accessible and easy when you go by car. Staff supported all time to get inside the building after closure time. The room was perfect, really nice and clean.
Cons: Bed was not that comfortable for worth it anyway as the rooms are really spacious. Shower and toilet are separated so it's great when you're more than a couple.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We liked this apartment very much. Big, clean rooms, with kitchen, in very good condition. Big bathroom. It was really comfortable. The parking is within gates. Staff is friendly.
10.0 Excellent

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Room was nice, clean and well equipped. Very quiet at night. Good bed and great breakfast. Ideal for stopover on the trip to the south of France or as a base when visiting Orleans.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Parking and staff.
Cons: The fridge was a bit noisey, and the automatic light in the bathroom flooded the bedroom with too much light after dark. The room was otherwise good and, the staff very nice.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was surprisingly good with good variety. Service was also very good.
Cons: The balcony was not very attractive and a little table and chairs on the balcony would have been useful, otherwise, why bother having balcony!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The apartment was spacious, clean and tidy. Upon arrival, staff were very friendly and informative. Prior to arrival, communication was clear and re-assuring. Will consider the voshotels for future travels through France.
Cons: The little freezer could do with functioning better. Check the inventory - they have one, but you are not fully aware of it, and they will charge for breakages or missing items.

Cons: The breakfast is a little to expensive for the given choice and quality
9.6 Excellent
Pros: on the garden, it was a so relaxing atmosphere !!
Cons: invest in the air conditioning
6.3 Good
Pros: Handy for the City centre, with very friendly staff and a reasonable breakfast.
Cons: The floors were dirty, the window leaked and most of us ended up with bites. Not sure if these were mosquitoes as we had the windows called because of the rain. We had connecting rooms which were fine except they also connected to a third room with very little soundproofing in between. The occupant was a loud snorer and we had a very disturbed sleep. Noise from other rooms was intrusive too, even from those above us.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It wasn’t too far from the center of the town and the staff was really helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was lovely and great for a family of 5, a rare change to find somewhere that fits us all!

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location for us was excellent as we were looking for as place near friends and family. The hosts, Christos and Eleni, were there on arrival, welcoming us with a basketfull of great local specialities and very helpful advice. The house is just beautiful, spotlessly clean with large rooms and shady terraces and beautifully furnished. The garden with grill place and pizza oven, plenty of toys for young children, comfortable garden furniture (those canopied day beds!) and that marvelous pool were all one could wish for. The ground are lit at night and gated. All is just as on the photos advertised on booking. com. We had a very nice stay, went home fully rested. A place to be recommended! Wouldn't mind coming back one day! P.S. We were even presented a goodbye gift of local thyme honey and tea. Much appreciated.
Cons: Just one small point it would have been nice to have a shower in the master bedroom, which has an en-suite toilet/sink. But it didn't really matter with a big family bathroom nearby and other showers in the house and an outside one too.
4.6 Okay
Pros: No much really
Cons: Pool area falling apart, smell of damp in most areas of the hotel
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was very nice. Modern and clean. Staff were friendly and the outside area was lovely! Pool was small but very nice. Nice bar area but restaurant food was quite poor and overpriced.
Cons: The restaurant could serve better food! There was little choice and our food was not very warm!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Travelling up the country with an 8 and 6 year old needing an overnight stop. Good child’s menu in the restaurant. Good sized room with two single sofa beds. The children enjoyed an hour in the pool in the evening. Good choice of breakfast. Handy for the A10.
Cons: Nothing.
6.3 Good
Pros: Close to the pool - which was lovely, although it was a hot day and we got told off for drinks around the pool. So i asked for a plastic cup for the water and was told there wasn't any. The family room was big enough for us - a family of 4, Orleans is beautiful and not too far away. 10 mins in the car. Lovely towels for the poolside.
Cons: I have never met a ruder member of the bar staff on the evening we checked in. He chucked our drinks at us, I wanted a pudding but he just kept walking off, each time I was trying to finish my order. In the end another member of staff had to intervene. The room wasn't tidy, the bin had not been emptied and there was a 1/2 drunk bottle of water in the room, we have dogs which was good although we hadn't brought them with us, the rooms stunk of dog. Good for the pool but not too much else.
6.3 Good
Cons: We have not received any bill. We cannot understand the amount which was charged.
6.7 Good
Pros: Very convenient for families taking a break travelling to south of France
Cons: Downside many, many people doing the same and dinner / restaurant service was a bit chaotic as full of young families eating early and leaving early ... definite shortage of tables and staff to direct front of house at 7pm
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and perfect for family. Absolutely surprised us how nice it was to have a this hotel... with all the attractions like the beautiful garden, the swings and the pool.
Cons: I liked everything, the staff was very nice and friendly, the decor of the hotel was completely different and interesting. Very beautiful place.
7.9 Good
Pros: Nice restaurant (a little bit expensive for the quality and quantity, but fine) and swimming pool. Good connexion with the motorway, it´s perfect for a 1 night stop. Clean, modern, nice and warm design. Plenty of parking space. Quite room well isolated apparently (we did not hear other guests walking in the corridor, we don´t know if the adjacent room was also occupied or not, but it was silent as well).
Cons: We booked a room for 4 persons (2 adults, 2 kids). The bed for the kids was a sofa-bed, but a poor quality one. My kids complained about the confort of the sofa-bed (and normally they are able to sleep in the ground without complaining!). The bed for the adults was ok but not great for our habits (too hard, but this is a question of taste and quite subjective)

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient for city and station Good breakfast WiFi was reliable and fast
Cons: All was ok There is no evening reception but they sent entry code and all was ready in the room when I arrived at
7.1 Good
Pros: The location is brilliant - very close to the main square, the historic statue of Joan of Arc on horseback and to good restaurants for an evening meal. It is on a one-way street which is best accessed by satnav and where free overnight parking is possible if you bag it at around 6 p.m. and then feed the meter in the morning. Otherwise, the hotel offers paid parking nearby. All good enough for an overnight stay (This was our third year!) or perhaps two nights to see more of the city's attractions.
Cons: We accepted the rather basic and old-fashioned nature of the hotel which has seen more glamourous days in the past - and the somewhat basic but adequate breakfast to which fruit was now being added. If we find ourselves in Orleans we will use it again.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: liked front desk, the lift was very useful, pretty good location, property a little old but very clean, would stay here again.
Cons: -0-
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Location was perfect and room was spacious and clean.
Cons: Needs internal decoration from top to bottom.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good price vs quality vs location.
Cons: The double beds in general in France seem to be smaller then what Im used to in England and the Netherlands. For 2 people it's tight. No airconditioning, but you have a fan obove the bed.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location and staff friendliness
Cons: No air con, and ceiling fan was noisy.

Featured amenities include a business center, multilingual staff, and an elevator (lift). This hotel has 2 meeting rooms available for events. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: David was very helpful on check in
Cons: The smell of smoke in the entrance
7.1 Good
Pros: Location was great - close to the train station, trams, and buses, easy walk to the center of the city.
Cons: The heat wave made the room difficult to use until 9pm or so, as it was on the west (sunny) side). I managed by partially opening windows, opening the door to the hall, and opening windows in the hall, giving air movement. Having the room windows wide open at night let in some cooler air, but having no screens meant that bugs came in abundantly if any light was on.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very good location for city exploring

Cons: Nothing.
9.2 Excellent
Cons: Did not have air conditioning
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff and location were brilliant. The underground parking was a nice bonus, there was a small fee but perfect. The staff were really helpful and the location is literally 5 mins walk from the main town area.
Cons: A little dated in appearance and would benefit from some AC.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast more then was expected. Got additional food things that my children could eat. Room was small, but just right for our single night stay. Beds were clean and comfortable.
Cons: As others have stated, it is rough around the edges. But still very clean.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice little hotel. But tired but worth the money for the location alone.
Cons: Needs a bit of a refresh.
7.1 Good
Pros: Hotel Saint-Aignan is an unpretentious 2 star hotel that is well cared for albeit a little old. However, it is clean, and the bed was comfortable. It is a quiet place. The breakfast is basic continental but satisfying. A perfect location that allows for a four minute walk to the main square and then the old town.
Cons: A little glue would help put two curled edges of wallpaper back in their place.

Cons: everything was good
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great! The people at the front desk were friendly and very helpful. They spoke beautiful English in addition to their native French which was fantastic as my French is limited. They were not able to open the breakfast room for us the next morning but they asked us what we'd like to eat and brought a very generous portion of our requests to our rooms.
Cons: The hotel is very hard to find. The street address does not reflect where it is. Parking is very difficult. It is located on a street without access to cars. They do have an arrangement with an underground parking lot but that is not apparent until after check in.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I have inflammatory arthrits so wanted a comfortable bed and I was not disappointed. It was very comfortable. The room was attractive, clean and had everything you could want. Cons: It was quite noisy late at night and early morning.
7.5 Good

7.1 Good
Pros: Location was great for a stopover. Price was very low. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Bed was quite hard and uncomfortable. Location looks a bit shabby from the outside, which is no problem for a stopover, but wouldn't stay here for more than a night

Pros: The location was excellent for a stopover on the way back from the South. The rooms were small but modern and comfortable. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room which were welcome. The shower facilities were very good. Breakfast in the morning was excellent with plenty of choice.
Cons: The communal areas of the hotel needed to be updated in line with the rooms.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good when you got it. Room was comfortable.
Cons: Difficult to find the hotel and if you missed it you are back on the motorway. Ran out of dishes, cutlery, food and had to wait a long time while it was being replenished as there was only 1 person doing it.
5.7 Okay
Pros: 1.) The price. 2.) The internet access
Cons: 1.) Only on the third try I was given a room that was prepared. 2.) No shower in the room and only two hand towels are provided.
4.0 Okay
Cons: The beds were just terrrible!
5.0 Okay
Pros: Just the fact that it was cheap and easy to access from the motorway
Cons: The receptionist was rude and uninformative which really did not make for a pleasant arrival after 10 hours on the road - I really formed the impression that she did not want to be there. The breakfast was a real disappointment compared to other Mr Beds I have stayed in before. The condition of the rooms was also 'tired' - definitely needs updating!

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very close to city centre and tram stop. Very clean and orderly. The room was small but comfortable.
Cons: Small details like curtains coming off the rail and the fan was noisy. A little more attention to maintenance details would be an improvement.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Really clean rooms, friendly staff, great location.
Cons: The shower hose holder was broken so a little difficult to shower, not a deal breaker.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I appreciated this hotel given its location and room's comfort - it's a perfect solid oldy - with normal light switches) I had a room with a bath and a double bed, all was fine.
Cons: I do not have any real critique, maybe my usual problem with French hotels - the breakfast is mostly sweet staff (of good quality), but it also had bagette and cheese, so me missing some bacon was not a problem).

Pros: Good location close to town centre. Friendly helpful staff.
Cons: Breakfast was a bit basic could have been fresher. 10 Euro charge for dog a bit cheeky.

Pros: Good location with easy access to the main attractions.
Cons: Poor ventilation of the room and no ventilation in the bathroom. On a hot summer day the room must be difficult to live in.

Pros: The staff at the reception was friendly.
Cons: Someone gained access to our room and stole our goods. Bathroom was dirty and had hair from someone else in the shower. Dry small blood splatters on the bed sheets.

Pros: The room and bathroom was large enough and it was nice and quiet. The hotel has a good location, you are just a few minutes away from the station and the city. The check-in was fast and easy as well.
Cons: The staff does not speak english well and were even a little rude sometimes. I needed to have breakfast early (6.30), but did not get to have breakfast because the girl in charge did not speak or understand any english and told me to wait for the reception to open at 7. Then at check-out, the receptionist decided it would be fun to play fetch with me using the receipt I asked for. Not very professional behaviour. Additionally, our room was not cleaned at all during our stay.
