It was a historical romantic building that is simply magical..... There was a room that I initially stayed in which lacks ample windows for air circulation..... not good. The staff was more than happy to oblige the next day for a room change that has open balcony windows........so much better
Lack of aircon in the hot humid weather..... beware. it's a historical building
It is one block from the Zocalo - couldn't ask for a better location - It was also close to a great café - Brujula on Alcala Street - also a block away - right up from the Xocalo -- I don't eat breakfast... Without exception the staff was really wonderful - helpful - available
Only complaint -- the bed was AWFUL!! I slept in a valley -- I slept on the floor a couple of days I didn't tell them
The staff was super friendly and helpful from the front desk to the cleaning staff. The location was superb.
Suggest not allowing outside vendors into the lobby, they charged twice as much for the same scarf (rebozo) that I found at the local market.
Beautiful building. The room was clean and spacious. I loved the courtyard. Very quiet location just off the Zocalo. Breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed our stay.
No air conditioner. The rooms at night got very warm. They did provide fans that were helpful.
The room that we got was facing the road, which was extremely noisy also during the night.
