Extra attentive staff Cleanliness Peacefulness of property Reserved bath option Delicious food
The hotel is secluded in the forest, giving you peace and quiet for your Ryokan retreat. The room was very nice and spacious, with all needed amenities. The hotel staff makes your futons when you have dinner. But the best part was the terrace. We had a private hot bath on our terrace, and next to that was an amazing view of the garden. Dinner was Kaiseki style and it was really good. The presentation of the food shows Japanese craftsmanship.
The only thing I didn't like was the van that came to pick us up. It was a dirty inside, and that put me off from the start. Such a hotel needs to be presented a bit better.
Very comfortable room, excellent food.
We stayed at the same ryokan last year and fell in love with it. This year, a small part of the service was somewhat less good: last year a good English speaking gentleman explaining us about the area, and suggested itineraries. The shuttle service was more flexible and was adapted to changing needs. Having said all that, I would still rate the ryokan as excellent.
Fantastic property, beautiful Garden and Hotspring facilities. Food was outstanding
Food is really amazing, the kaiseki dinner (course meal) and breakfast. View of the garden and onsen is also amazing! Staff are really really hospitable! Would go back again.
