Friendly staff, microwave and refrigerator is provide.
Reasonable location, friendly staff.
Very small room, no view from window (frosted glass), very small bathroom cubicle with shower operated from basin, aircon just about able to cope in Sept/Oct - might not be up to it in summer - ordered taxi night before and it arrived 10 mins early and by the time we got in to it there was already a bill of 900 yen.
very clean and very polite staff (: very comfortable beds!
Everything was excellent! Especially the staff were kind and helpful. They speak english. We felt great here. Onsen was good too. The rooms were cozy. You can bring your own food and use microwave and fridge. Free water and green tea. They are able to call taxi for you or make a breakfast.
This was our favourite hotel in Japan (3 weeks travelling). It features a beautiful onsen, you get a yukata, free green tea and a simple yet good western-style breakfast. The temples are only 10 minutes away on foot, so it's the perfect location by the river. The staff were very friendly. We got a map from them. Also the most incredible meal from all our trip in Japan was taken 5 min away at Bell (shojin ryori, beware that it takes 45 min to prepare, more than worth it). We regret not staying for 2 or 3 nights in Nikko.
Our fault: we arrived after 7 pm in Nikko and there are no buses at this time! It is around 30-40 min walk from the station, uphill. Consider if you have luggage like us.
With a stay at Turtle Inn Nikko in Nikko, you'll be just steps from Mt. Hangetsuyama and Ryuzu Waterfall (Ryuzu no taki). Featured amenities include luggage storage, laundry facilities, and a vending machine. Free self parking is available onsite.
