Excellent 10.0
Pros: The service is impeccable & the attention to detail is evident. Lovely breakfast, beautiful pool, friendly staff. I highly recommend The Fairview, no need to look any further!
Excellent 8.0
Pros: great location and arguably best value for money in the area. actually looks better than on the photos!
Cons: airco a little feeble / non-existent in the rooms. staff seemed ill prepared to start breakfast service as indicated at 6am (however still very friendly). although I’m appreciative of the CV19 measures, they’re a little clunky / none too practical around the breakfast service — this could be refined without hampering safety and cleanliness.
Good 6.0
Pros: good location
Cons: booked a suite which was in building over road not a good choice
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Nice big room. Loads of choice for breakfast. Friendly staff.
Excellent 10.0
The hotel is well located a few kilometers from the city center. The staff here is very professional. The chef they know their job. The rooms are clean and of high standards. I highly recommend this hotel for their high standards of professionalism and hotel etiquette. Nothing more I could ask for just continue giving guest the great service that you provide.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Due to the COVID I was put up in Fairview Hotel which is also the owner of Town lodge and next to each other. Fairview is higher standard room which I got to a discounted rate lower than normal charge for Town lodge. Staff retained during COVID on part time. Very friendly and service minded. A very nice experience to be back in the hotel.
Cons: Nothing everything was good and the high standard of services maintained despite the COVID hard time under the luck down that has hit the service industry hard.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: All bookings of Town Lodge Upperhill are upgraded to Fairview, so you get 4 stars hotel for a fraction or price, best deal in Nairobi!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff were very helpful, they assisted me with a very early takeaway breakfast. I had to leave before the restaurant opened. The food was excellent.
Cons: I find the bed a little short, it's only 6ft long and not the usual 6ft 3.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It is always a quiet and comfortable place to stay. Very good value for money.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
It one of the safest hotel in Kenya, There is heavy security at the street cos of the embassy there.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We liked the staff, food options (several restaurants within a short walking distance and an excellent buffet breakfast), clean rooms, price.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Price, staff, restaurants, security, bed comfortable and wifi all were great.
Cons: No complaints at all.

Pros: Staff, pillows, room service, bar area, breakfast
Mediocre 2.0
Pros: Very expensive breakfast but no items to talk about. Regret booking the hotel. Never wasted my money like sleeping in the hotel
Cons: Everything. Customer service is bogus
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Good breakfast selection. Bed were comfortable, room was cool and restful and the bathroom was clean with complete toiletries. Staffs are nice.
Cons: Weak internet signal in room 303.
Excellent 10.0
Wow, an oasis from the hustle and bustle of Nairobi. Great people working there and the bar and restaurant were a lovely place to relax and hangout after a day of sightseeing. We hadn't planned on eating at the restaurant but the Nairobi traffic got the better of us but we weren't disappointed with the Chop House.

Good 7.5
Pros: I have been staying at this hotel many times over the last few years and what I have always enjoyed has been the architecture, old-fashioned feel and the pool.
Cons: The service is not as great as it used to be. In a city where there are new hotels being opened every days, the customer service and the little things do matter. The coffee sachets/some of the cups were only replaced once (I must say that I didn’t bring this to their attention but I expect this to be part of the room cleaning service); their system seem to never have my correct Accor membership status up to date; they also have me down as a Mr rather than Ms - not great since most of the staff recognise me, that’s how many times I have been. Also, the food is not as good as it used to be.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Beautiful oasis in the middle of the city!!
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Like the balcony. Food tastes good. The hotel has been there even before Nairobi was a city, which makes it a tourist destination in itself.
Cons: breakfast was not of very good value
Good 7.0
Pros: Wonderful garden and premises. Great service.
Cons: The AC in the room is very noisy, too bad in such a nice hotel. The location is also quite inconvenient. Bad food. Very expensive breakfast.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Fantastic staff-professional, charmingly and friendly. Very comfortable. High security. Beautiful grounds and architecture. Generous breakfast.
Cons: Excessively high cost for everything other than the room which was reasonably priced. Very modest amount of laundry- wash no ironing was a staggering US $129. We should have paid attention to the price list. Drinks at bar way overpriced. Bar waitress brought unrequested tray of chips and carrot slices for each of two rounds. Assumed they were free- we were charged $13. Restaurant good by also overpriced.
Good 6.0
Pros: The whole hotel desperately needs an overhaul and some money spent on it
Cons: Rooms and facilities looking very tired
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The hotel is super nice, I loved the old fashion colonial vibe much nicer than a modern class box hotel. The bar and restaurants are really great and the staff is super nice! The security is also very good so I felt very safe.
Cons: As it is an older hotel it starts showing it's cracks a little bit in the bathroom especially with older cupports with the paint coming off and unfortunately the drains from my toilet/shower were a bit smelly.
Mediocre 2.0
We were refused entry onto our flight from Brazil - via South Africa - for not having Yellow Fever vaccinations (required, unbeknownst to us, as we had spent more than 6 days in Brazil). I sent THREE emails to Fairmont Norfolk trying to change our dates. They never replied at all, and finally charged me for my cancelled room.
Okay 5.2
The rooms were dark, tired, and outdated - they looked nothing like to pictures presented on the hotel website. Further, the in room wifi was so poor we had to go to the hotel's lobby just to get reception. We had to make daily calls to housekeeping to get daily refills on bottled water and coffee for the in room drink station, Lastly, the air conditioning was inadequate and, despite running continuously, failed to properly cool the room. It was especially uncomfortable when trying to sleep at night. Despite bringing ours concerns up to hotel management these issues were never resolved.
Excellent 10.0
I to begin with remained at the Norfolk when I lived in Africa twenty a long time prior. Since I was aiming to South Sudan for individual reasons this month, I decided to return to the Norfolk. I have to be take off after three weeks, and am as of now feeling pitiful. Everything at this lodging is brilliant. I adored my cozy, well named room, the faultless benefit, and most of all the unimaginably kind, inviting, accommodating well prepared staff. The restaurant/room benefit staff, the housekeeping staff, and the gathering staff recalled my likes and disdains.
Excellent 10.0
The environment in the hotel is good and reminds one of the bygone imperial era. The hotel property is spread over vast area. I stayed in the room opposite to the swimming pool and it was fairly far from reception. The room was fairly big, quiet and cozy. My room had both shower and a bath tub and shower had some problem that only hot water was coming. I explained to the management and they responded that some minor maintenance work would be carried out shortly. The restaurant serves good food and offered discounts if you dine early. In the menu vegetarian and non vegetarian item are clearly highlighted, however in buffets these were not mentioned and I used to take assistance from restaurant staff to figure out vegetarian dishes. On the last day I shared this concern with the management and to my surprise they were proactive and offered me the option of choosing any thing from the menu card. As it was my last day there so I could only thank them for this offer. I liked their proactive approach. Over all I would recommend the hotel to others.
Excellent 10.0
Could not have been more impressed with this establishment. To my surprise on arrival we had been upgraded to a suite which was roomy and quiet. We were well looked after and got a great price on the stay. I would recommend and we had a great albeit short stay that we could not fault. The steak we had from the grill was very good as well. We had a room in the Delemere wing and it was very clean, well arranged, and very comfortable. The courtyard and grounds were well maintained and the staff was always helpful. Overall we found our stay here faultless and smooth which is how we like it when we travel.
Excellent 10.0
I had the opportunity to go for a once in a lifetime experience, a safari in Kenya. The first step was a stay in the country's capital city, Nairobi. There, as a launch point for my safari, just like most of those going for the adventure, I stayed at Fairmont The Norfolk. A hotel full of history, which has been playing a dominant role in the development of the city since it was built in 1904. With its signature Tudor style of architecture that has been maintained since its original construction, the first thing I noticed about Fairmont The Norfolk is its popularity among the locals especially the Lord Delamere Terrace; which boasts breakfast buffet in town, and the Tatu restaurant, an award-winning signature steak house. In total, the hotel offers 4 dining venues. What I really liked about the hotel and makes it stand out are the grounds where it is located: a green, lush and calm oasis of private tropical gardens in the heart of the city. Being green and classic doesn't have to mean old-fashioned. Fairmont The Norfolk's 170 luxuriously furnished rooms and suites offer all possible modern amenities, and last but not least, guests can enjoy a lovely outdoor heated swimming pool as well as a health club, sauna and steam room, and spa.

Pros: The food was great. People and staff were nice. Location in town was great.
Cons: Roaches in my room. This is not 5 star even though it’s advertised as such. Windows at the entire facility were dirty. Lighting in rooms are poor.
Good 7.6
Good location but not a highly rated as travellers make out to be. Rooms are dated
Excellent 10.0
This was an absolutely wonderful hotel and the stay was terrific! So many things to say I don't know quite where to start. First the arrival of the Stanley, you are met by doormen and security. You know your safety and it's number one of the hotel's priority. Entering the Stanley you are met, some remnants of the old hotel from 1902, the clock in the registration area and the old original staircase. The rooms are well furnished and clean and more importantly air conditioned. I was surprised and pleased by the staff and their friendliest. Especially, Matthew, who took time to explain the history of the Stanley and point out many of its features.
Excellent 10.0
Sarova Stanley was an outstanding place to stay. The hotel is beautiful and retains much of its historical charm while at the same time offering all the luxuries and amenities of a modern palace. It has two restaurants and a bar, plus an amazing breakfast room with a spread that will fill you up for the whole day. Friendly, accommodating staff. Nothing more I could ask for just continue giving guest the great service that you provide.
Excellent 10.0
I visited The Stanley on a business trip. The ambiance was excellent, service was perfect and the rooms very stately. Steve the head concierge gave a brief of the hotel and the rich history made it the more charming. It is right in the middle of the city which makes it easy to access. The food at the hotel was exceptional. There is a Club lounge at the hotel where Club members can have guests, partake meals and even hold business meetings. This is a real 5 star world class hotel with a touch of African culture. The hotel have simply thought of everything a guest might need! Honestly I cannot think of a single thing that I they could improve. Keep up the great work!
Excellent 10.0
The hotel is perfectly located at the city center with ample parking for their guests. The hotel has a Jacuzzi, spa and swimming pool where guests can take their time to relax. Services are just perfect with a 24- hour support desk. The hotel is a bit costly and not ideal for middle-income people. They should create a separate section for this group
Excellent 10.0
Very kind crew, clean, good location.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The service and food are excellent Very comfortable beds too b
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything about this hotel is top-notch. Highly recommend it if you are in and around the CBD in Nairobi!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location for walking to shops and restaurants. Beautiful rich dark woodwork with lots of character and history to the hotel. Staff and security were awesome!!! Very clean and beds were very comfortable. The walls were soundproof. Everything was in good condition with beautiful decor. Good source of hot water for showers. Buffet breakfast with omelette bar was superb! Restaurant and bars were high quality. Spa and exercise area was a nice plus, but I did not take advantage of these services.
Cons: Internet needs improved to be of the same quality of the rest of the hotel ... needs higher-speed internet services. My ability to work on the internet was hit or miss.

had a nice and cozy stay
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great staff...lovely hotel...Esther on reception lovely helpful friendly professional girl. Boniface for room attendant was so nice man and cleaned room superbly.
Cons: Price of drink in restaurant!! Especially a bottle of ' cheap ' wine. But strangely the food here wasn't expensive.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Nice hotel, close to Wilson airport, perfect for a stop-over. Staff was attentive. There is a swimmingpool and gym, however I did not use these. I used the spa instead and this was great.
Cons: The only part I found somewhat cumbersome is that, while there is room service option available, there is no menu in the room. Instead you need to go down to the restaurant itself and order there.
Excellent 10.0
Stayed multiple times here and always safe, clean, and best breakfast around.
Excellent 10.0
From airport pickup to the hotel you are set. No need to wander around while waiting to begin your safari elsewhere. The breakfast was very good also.
Excellent 9.6
This is a modern, beautiful, clean and safe hotel with very courteous and helpful staff. I can't think of any problems or issues. I would highly recommend it to all my friends.
Excellent 9.2
Beautiful premises. Very cordial staff. I will stay here a couple more times in the next couple of weeks, in between other tours. I will report again after my final stay, but so far it's been a very good experience.
Excellent 10.0
Loved this hotel, i would go back!
Excellent 10.0
Like a second home. Had everything I needed with great food, nice pool, and super friendly and helpful staff. Not far from the airport.
Excellent 10.0
Loved the place. Had everything I needed and then some. Great food, nice pool, and super friendly and helpful staff.
Excellent 10.0
not far from the airport and nice amenities.
Good 7.6
The Boma Nairobi Hotel is a very decent place to stay but it's not what would be considered a five star property by international standards. I highly recommend that you take advantage of the very affordable spa treatments. Also, know that the gym is open to public memberships so it can get very crowded in the evenings. The lower level restaurant is basic but serves some yummy dishes.
Excellent 10.0
I enjoyed this property very much!
Excellent 10.0
We’ve been to Nairobi many times and on our last visit we tried The Boma and loved it! The staff is very friendly, our room was spacious and the beds nice and comfortable. We got in late, so ordered room service which was fast. The onion soup was delicious, although the pasta needed a bit more flavor. Its location is convenient since it is close to Kenyatta International airport and very close to Wilson (and you’ll be going against traffic if it’s commute time!) In case you are heading out of town in the morning. This place is nice, clean and its price, which was about 300 dollars less than the other place we stayed at, really friendly in a hotel like The Boma. Highly recommend it!
Excellent 10.0
We recently had a 2 night stay at The Boma in Nairobi. We appreciated the great service from the front desk during both check-in and out all went smoothly. Our room was very spacious and clean, and the wifi was fast and reliable. We enjoyed the friendly and helpful staff, we encountered throughout the hotel and the restaurant. We had breakfast in the main restaurant both days (the omelettes were made beautifully to order). We also had a delicious dinner one evening in the main restaurant as well. Overall, it was a safe and comfortable place to unwind when we returned from touring the Giraffe Centre, the Karen Blixen Museum and the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. It was a great place to say before heading off to Wilson Airport for a safari. Thanks to the Boma staff for a lovely stay. Nothing more I could ask for just continue giving guest the great service that you provide.
Good 6.5
It is a perfect stay for the night or point of departure as it Is located close to the main Airport in Nairobi Kenya. The spa was great and the masseurs know their job well. I was treated to a night of fun with the great music. The staff are not that friendly and the service was not excellent. The food left a lot to be desired.

Pros: John the tour guide was a great guy. Helpful and informative. Every hotel needs a John. An absolute credit to the hotel Wallace was another great guy, lovely personality and very informative on our walking tour. The kitchen manager and the kitchen staff were very attentive. Top marks 👌. The hotel was ideally located. The beds comfortable and the rooms clean.
Good 7.0
Pros: The professionalism of the staff.
Cons: The location was bid difficult to reach from where my program was taking place at Strsthmore University Business School
Excellent 9.0
Pros: My room was on the first floor, but surprisingly there was no noise from the street. The room had all the amenities that I'd expect from Best Western, the room service was prompt, efficient and delivered with a smile. I especially liked the variety at breakfast and that although it is a buffet, there is server to ensure minimal guest contact with the food. The concierge was also very friendly and helpful, as was everyone else I interacted with.
Cons: During my stay, the rooftop bar closed an hour earlier than indicated in the brochure, but I was also the only patron there. The bar man was more than happy to extend the hours for me, but I felt bad for him and didn't take him up on the offer.
Good 7.0
Pros: The staff
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The best service. My friend was out when we had to have a breakfast. They allowed to pack some food for my friend. Always Kind and Always smiled at me. Room service is expensive. But It was worthy. Also, I asked to extend 2hours. They gave us 2hours without charging. It was so comfortable. Thank you so much.
Good 6.8
The place could use some sprucing up, but overall satisfactory. Staff is very helpful and friendly
Good 6.0
Becoming abit run down, and more buggy than on previous stays.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The value pricing and food were really nice. The service of the staff was exceptional. The rooms are dated and could use an upgrade but the staff and food make up for it. The checkin staff and guest relations executive was very helpful and made the stay pleasant. All the staff n posters are attentive and helpful, late night checkin staff provide service equal to a 5 star.
Cons: The dated rooms, the location is good for the price. The mattresses could use an upgrade and the the ac could use a cleaning, it’s functions fine thought. The rooms are dated thought and glass door and glass panel on the wall aren’t that great. Normal wall would do a better job of keeping noise of the bathrooms insulated from the room.
Excellent 10.0
I came to know of this hotel during one of our yearly strategic planning workshops. Though I heard of it severally before, I never thought it was such a nice place to stay. We stayed for three nights and the charges were fair. Everything from reception to inside the rooms that were very spacious was as I wished. The hotel has a perfect view of Nairobi city and its accessibility is efficient. There is a provision for fruits on daily basis. After the normal working hours, we would go to the swimming pool or the gym. The hotel is good but their responses to customer's request were not desirable, they take almost 10 minutes to answer a call. As far as cleanliness is concerned, the carpets were a bit dusty. The meals should be served all through rather than putting specific times when lunch or dinner is served.
Excellent 8.2
Pros: Breakfast every morning, internet was fast enough to do work from the hotel (doing online conference calls, vpn, etc), located in quiet area away from bars with less road traffic. Overall i thought the price was incredible forthe value. Ive only ever stayed in the hilton when travelling to nairobi, but i will definitely return to best western henceforth.
Cons: No complaints at all.
Excellent 9.1
The services and hotel staff are all good. Very efficient and friendly hotel driver to pick up and drop off at the airport, properly storage our baggage during away from Nairobi, and very kind special foods by the restaurant staff when I was sick by food poison.

Excellent 9.0
Cons: not being able to use the gym and pool due to vivid restrictions
Okay 5.0
Pros: Breakfast was OK
Cons: Dinner was very long Almost one hour and a half to have our meals And expensive : twice the normal price No possibility to have one room for late departure
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Wifi, room service, food, personnel were very good. Room was clean and quiet.
Cons: No direct elevator to go to the rooms: I was injured and not very convenient with my leg to not have direct elevator.
Excellent 9.4
Pros: The room was comfortable with standard amenities. The view was better than usual (not a parking or another building).
Cons: The food was ok. As a vegetarian, I don't expect a lot in Kenya. I had essentially two choices--vegetarian pizza, and pasta. There might have been a sandwich. I shouldn't complain, while the choice was limited the quality was good.

The Westin is truly next to the Wilson Airport. The arranged a pick up for me at Nairobi International and everything was smooth and easy.
Cons: There is nothing to not like for my purpose which was dealing with this layover as easily as possible. The staff was very kind. The room spacious and comfortable.

Good 6.0
Pros: Health club and pool
Cons: The facilities in the rooms need renovation. taps are falling off and AC makes lots of noise. Alot of noise from gym by 6am when one is still resting. The reception staff cant handle alot of traffic..The hotel has mosquitoes but no mosquito repellantsq
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The cool environment and food was so nice
Cons: Was beaten by mosquitoes inside my room. There was no mosquito net.
Okay 5.0
Pros: The bed and bathroom well done
Cons: The apartment is not a good deal.Set up was off not sure it was sanitized but i didn't hav a choice coz i cldnt cancel.Been there more than twice.I didn't like the fact that the reception expressed familiarity instead of being professional. Not sure I'll go there again if my privacy for my staycation is not guaranteed.
Excellent 8.8
Value for money here is unbeatable. Rooms were nice and above all staff were incredibly friendly. This was an easy place to stop for a night and would happily return.
Good 7.1
Pros: The room was okay and staff friendly.
Cons: Their breakfast is pathetic.Their tea is cold..juice looks like syrup I didnt even touch it.They should up their game on breakfast.Really disappointed me
Good 7.5
Pros: Beautiful room. Good bathroom with a bath and shower. Good security.
Cons: Location isolated. Cannot go by walk, so we feel a little bit stuck in the place. Had stomach hurt after dinner, didn't know if it was the food or else. Didn't have a good sleep. Every hotel at this price should have an AC.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: The breakfast was ok.
Cons: Nothing much.
Good 6.0
Pros: We stayed here during the forced quarantine by the Govt. of Kenya due to Covid 19. Considering the circumstance of our stay, some staff have been exemplary. In particular Faith, Esther at front desk, George, House keeping ladies and the restaurant waiters have been very helpful and working tirelessly. The food was generally spot on. Every request was met.
Cons: One of the director and general manager have been very arrogant and not been so considerate. On arrival the director was pushing us to make upfront payment for 7 nights at the hotel yet it was out of choice we were there. The rate given was also higher than what was on booking.com but later after a government directive, new discounted rates were effected. Our room air con was bust. The water in the taps didn't have much force and almost no ventilation in the room(even though there is a window which was open) making it very stuffy. We later did get a change of room which did resolve the ventilation part.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very good place for a vacation to enjoy quiteness
Excellent 8.0
Pros: not applicable
Cons: nothing
Okay 5.0
Cons: No AC and ate alive by mosquitoes when opened the windows. No net provided.

Okay 4.0
Pros: Large room, nicely furnished, comfortable large bed, big bathroom. Everything clean. Friendly staff.
Cons: Internet in the room not working (they offered to provide a mobile modem, but I just used the internet in the lobby). Loud music all through the night (nightclub?). Very loud noise from a pump or some motor in the building that came up every couple of minutes in the night. Very annoying.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Proximity and easy access to the airport Lot of Uber drivers near by Value for money Helpful and friendly staff Luggage storage Coffee and tea facilities in rooms Comfortable bed Mosquito net (did not needed but nice to know it was there)
Cons: Wifi bit hit and miss Shower pressure poor, both on 1st and 3rd floor
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Near Wilson airport. Quiet neighbourhood. Large room. Helpful and friendly staff.
Cons: Poor wifi signal and water pressure.
Good 6.0
Pros: The location was just right for me. The facility is clean and quiet. I liked the way Bibiana - at front office received me. She made me feel at home.
Cons: Breakfast is served late. sometimes guests have to knock at the kitchen door to get what they want. e.g. i could not eat fruits because they came late while i was already eating main course yet i always start with fruits. Smoking is allowed in hotel rooms!! This is so terrible for me.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: We stayed there because it was close to Wilson Airport. It's a good standard hotel. Very convenient, it you need a place in Nairobi to stay, have a dinner and a good shower. Good staff and an excellent breakfast.
Okay 5.0
Pros: The rooms are spacious and relatively clean. Service at the reception was good.
Cons: I ordered for beef and it was too tough and majority of it was bones. I ordered for a chicken cream soup and it was more of a vegetable soup. This forced me not to take their breakfast although i had paid for it.The restaurant service was very poor and with bad attitude. But reception service was good.
Good 7.0
Pros: The location was appropriate for my trip and activities
Cons: Parking was not adequate.
