It is an old hotel built in the seventies but it is kept in a very good condition. Being a local brand, this hotel is preferred by politicians and used for governmental events. The reception and ballrooms are always filled with politicians, ministers, ambassadors, etc.. There are several restaurants, bars, meeting rooms in the hotel which will provide you with a variety of places to eat, have a drink and chill-out. Being a favorite place for governmental events so the level of security is high which is an important aspect in Nairobi. Rooms: 7/10 spacious, well furnished, comfortable beds, OK amenities Location: 8/10 it is hard to recognize or hail a taxi so your best option is Uber Internet: free & stable Breakfast: 8/10 wide variety and delicious cheese platter Service: 8/10 friendly and professional staff Value: 7/10 hotels are generally overpriced in Nairobi but Serena is on the expensive side P.S On Fridays they have a sea food all-you-can-eat buffet… don’t miss it
