Poor sitting area and kitchen Insufficient showers for the number of people In the dorm.
The location was very good. It was very easy to find! The rooms were very clean and spacious. The locker was huge to store your belongings in and each locker had a charging plug!
The location is great, almost right next to Dogo Onsen with plenty of shops and restaurants to walk around and shop. The staff was also friendly.
The hostel building itself is pretty dated. As such there is no AC in the hallways, which makes for a warm walk to the showers and up to your room. The bunk beds were also a bit uncomfortable as there was just a thin mattress on a wood frame
Plenty of showers, the beds were comfortable, and they gave one complimentary pack of detergent for the washing machines. I also like that they had dryers. They also had big lockers for you to put your luggage in.
There was only one outlet and it was located in your locker. A bit inconvenient to charge if you have many things like a phone, a battery pack and a camera. Hard to use your phone and charge at the same time. The rooms are made of traditional wood though so might be hard to put outlets in in other places. I brought my backpack so it was fine but there's no elevator. So if your handicapped or have big luggage it might be difficult.
