9.6 Excellent
Pros: Hotel did check us in early without additional pay and with a room upgrade. Amazing view of Nile and sunset. Really good indian and egyptian food. Friendly staff ready to help.
Cons: Everything's a bit more expensive than seems fair, especially the spa services (which are great but not 150$ for 60 mins great). Nile side view from the room is about 25-30° but rooms with front view are amazing. Wifi is good for social media but weak for whatsapp calls.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: 110% satisfied with everything at the hotel. Beautiful, relaxing, clean and amazing service. Would recommend and would definitely stay again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel with the most amazing views over the Nile. The staff were welcoming and attentive. We had to change our travel plans because of the Corona Virus outbreak and the manager Abeer Sayed kindly agreed to waive the cancellation fees. The breakfast was very good, the best throughout our trip to Egypt. I would most definitely recommend the Hilton.
Cons: We had a minor issue with the bedroom upon arrival which was swiftly resolved.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff went the extra mile for us every time
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is nicely located along the Nile, with great pools and sun beds and a well equipped gym. Breakfast and service are outstanding. The on-site Olives restaurant serves very good meals for fair prices. Internet is much better than in other hotels in Luxor. We had booked for seven nights, but because of the Covid-19 crisis we were allowed to leave early without having to pay for the to remaining two nights, whereas we had made a no-cancellation reservation.
Cons: The hotel advertises rooms with a balcony, whereas such a balcony is so exceptionally small that you cannot even put a small chair on it. This seems to us the best hotel in Luxor, but not the one with the best price/quality ratio.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: very good and quiet localisation on the Nil river, hotel staff is super closed to guest, the take care of you with no excess. half-board was very good with full of good food.
Cons: nobody can do something about that but coz the Nil River sometimes it's windy around the swimming pool. price of massage are a bit expensive.

Pros: Very nice area, swimming pool and quiet location
Cons: Wifi signal was very poor apart from it everything was very good and nice, quiet location outside of city by the Nile river with good walking distance to city.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice location on the bank of the Nile. Wide selection at breakfast.
Cons: Staff was not always attentive. Generally speaking the rooms have not aged as well as the other facilities.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect. Very clean and organized structure. Having the Nile as part of your backyard was fantastic. The other highlight is the superb breakfast
Cons: Based on precious reviews, many guests complained that the Wi-Fi just worked on the lobby area. Unfortunately that is true and even in the lobby , the quality of the connection is poor. I just can’t understand why Mercury does not improve this. Simply unacceptable for the current travelling needs that everyone has.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The garden
Cons: The location, the buff, the room, ☹️
8.0 Excellent

7.0 Good
Pros: Lovely property and boutiques. Lots of space. Rooms are nicely designed with balcony. Desk staff and boutique staff are professional. Food is about like every 3-4 star hotel in Egypt.
Cons: The dining room wait staff is lethargic. The bathroom walls, ceiling and toiletries could use updating. The room info isn't completely there. No channel menu and the things in the area menu is in the general lobby. They have a room service menu but no phone numbers listed. The R on the phone doesn't call room service. No one answers the phone at the front desk. I had to call on my cell. Too many of the wait staff don't speak English.

Cons: None
9.4 Excellent
Pros: the place was lovely- clean, manicured. super adorable cats all over the place :) the food was amazing- the buffet breakfast and dinner were great. everyone working there was very kind and considerate.
Cons: two things i did not like at all 1) they spray some kind of toxic fumes every night to kill mosquitoes. it's horrible- when it gets sprayed a huge cloud overtakes the entire place and takes a good 20 minutes to settle. we would go in our room and put the towel on the floor to try to keep it out of our room but it would seep into the cracks. this is horrible and i wish they would not do it 2) the internet connection there was not good at all. we got it sometimes- but it was not reliable enough for anyone who has regular work to do that needs reliable internet.

7.0 Good
Pros: staff are very friendly and smile all the time, cosy and comfortable
Cons: I made my reservation 2 months ago based on 1 junior suite for 2 persons & 1 deluxe triple room for my kids, both rooms are Nile view, however, when I checked in I found that my room wasn't a suit and we considered it as a deluxe room while my booking is for the suite. I went to the front desk to complain about this and they advised me to wait till the manager come and see how we can solve this. I would like to thank Mr. Jon as he tried to help me and changed the room, however, the room of my kids which I booked was Nile view so they upgraded me to the suite and kept my kids in a side Nile view .

10.0 Excellent
Pros: All clean and friendly staff

Cons: The side view room mine was 419 was extremely noisy facing the water purifying system!so be careful not to accept those rooms I complained at the reception after 3days they offered me a room on the other side but I was reluctant to move so they gave me a free late check out and send a plate of fruits to my room this was done by sweet Mirna We had lunch 3 days in a row with my friends at the Italian restaurant food tasted nice but the two of them got diarrhea and I ended up vomiting

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is hands downt hee best hotel, I have ever stayed at. It definitely exceeded expectations! The staff was great, the room as perfect, and the food at the italian restaurant was delicious. Best of all, it was really quiet, I got the best sleep, I've had in a really long time at this hotel. I wish I would have planned to stay in Luxor longer, just so that I could have slept in the bed at this hotel longer. Dont waste your time or money anywhere else, this hotel is exactly what you are looking for!
Cons: This hotel was perfect, no complaints.
7.0 Good
Pros: All staff members were great. The balcony was large and spacious.
Cons: The bathroom shower does not have a curtain or glass partition. As a result, when taking a shower the entire bathroom floor was full of water everywhere, and housekeeping had to come dry the floor ( twice a day ).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff war very kind and attentive. Especially at the Breakfast and at the Reception. Every time when we asked for something they were very helpful and professional. I liked the Hotel location also, we Nile view was excellent. Also the Hotel provides some kind of animation at the evening, so we felt well-treated and welcomed

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The facilities are amazing, 5 excellent restaurants options. The view is incredible and the staff is friendly and helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is very central in the city, close to the railway station and city center. Nile view is amazing, they have a very nice pool overlooking the nile. Nile cruises are available. A lot of restaurants inside the hotel. The breakfast is excellent with so many options. The staff is very helpful and smiling. The hotel is newely renovated so the room was very clean and organized. The price is really very good for such a nice hotel.
Cons: We checked in at 9:30 PM and we just wanted to check out 6:00 PM next day as our train was scheduled at 11:30 PM but actually they were very restricted and refused to extend our check out till 6:00 PM without extra charge although the facility wasn’t fully booked. It’s their policy but when it’s not the season hotels usually have some tolerance...

7.0 Good
Pros: The accommodation was lovely and so were the majority of the staff. just be very careful of the people that continually ask for money from you as some of them can be a lot to deal with
Cons: We had someone clean our room and we needed an adaptor to charge our phones as we forgot it so we asked one of the house keepers if he could get one for us and we gave him the money and expected the majority bk in change. It would have been about 50 Egyptian pounds. We gave him 400 Egyptian pounds just in case and we were going to give him a nice tip for helping us as we didn’t know where to go. He took it all and we didn’t get nothing in change bk. Then he said that the he got his brother to get it from some electronic store and it cost the full 400 Egyptian pounds and when my partner questioned him on it he then said ow I gave some of the money to the cab to get there and come to the resort but it still wouldn’t have cost that much. He continued to come up with other excuses to why we didn’t get any change bk. We had enough and told him we were not happy and he is to never come to our room again. We informed the reception staff and refused him coming to our room again and also insisted on no house keeping cleaners or anyone enter our room as we didn’t feel safe with our belongings that someone could potentially steel off us as we practically were taken for a ride with the guy that got us the adaptor. Other than that. Everything else was ok
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast and nice pool facility. The dinner facilities offered could be improved, although the buffer service was not available due to lack of people staying at hotel. Room was clean and comfortable.
Cons: lack of people. dinner wasnt anything special and pricey for what it was
7.0 Good
Pros: the view
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The Nile view was exceptional by all means specially at sunset. Reception crew were friendly. Breakfast was awesome. Location is good and very calm. Hotel is very clean. There were kettle and free refilled coffee & tea at room, it is a nice gesture from the Hotel.
Cons: The sound isolation from outside room (corridor) is not good, you can hear every single step. A vacuum cleaner was working round the clock and too noisy (even at night) , but it is good they are concerned with the cleanliness of the hotel.
6.8 Good
Pros: Good all round facsilities
Cons: Waiters attentive if female!!
2.4 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: Old premises, extremely dirty facilities,
5.6 Okay
Pros: Nice swimming pools, great breakfast buffet, and the hotel is in a fantastic location adjacent to the Nile.
Cons: Meal prices in the hotel are way too high for Egypt, as is the charge for use of the internet. The internet cafe outside the hotel entrance charges 15 Egyptian pounds per hour compared with the Sheraton's 80 pounds per hour.
5.2 Okay
Pros: Staff were mostly friendly, facilities were good
Cons: On arrival they had no record of my booking, I had to wait almost 30 minutes to check in, they should solve their administrative problems in their own time, I had just come off a flight was tired and hot, I did not need to stand in reception when they solved their internal admin problems.
7.2 Good
Pros: The swimming pool just near the Nile
Cons:

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the roof terrace area, where you can see for miles. The food was good and in line with the price. The staff were friendly, and particularly the young staff members. The West Bank of Luxor is a much quieter place to be than the East.
Cons: We arrived quite tired and were 'treated' to a cup of tea by the owner, who took this opportunity to hard-sell a day trip, at an exorbitant price. We haggled him down a bit, but it was still an expensive trip, with a disappointing tour guide who seemed to know less than us about the places we went to. He also took us into the 'Alabaster Village' tourist trap (we didn't want to go), and demanded a tip at the end of the day, on top of the really high price. This really marred our experience of The Cleopatra Hotel.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Situated on the West Bank away from the touristy East Bank we felt like being among the real Luxorians. It's the best experience we could have wished for in bussling Luxor. The room was very nicely decorated and clean. Also, Mahmoud is a great host looking after all your needs and he is a great chef too. There are also plenty of nice restaurants around.
Cons: N/A
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was truly amazing! The staff, the hospitality, the kindness, the warm welcome, the extra mile they go, the big smile they always have! I had the perfect time there. And Mahmoud in the restaurant at the rooftop (with a breathtaking view btw!!!) just made all my days shining with happiness, with his kindness, super attitude and lovely morning conversations!!!
Cons: I loved everything!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a wonderful place! Very clean, comfortable, delicious breakfast with marvellous view, comfy bed and the team who made me feel so welcome. I loved it and would recommend to anyone who wants a cozy place where you can relax and enjoy! :) great value for money, way beyond my expectations! Maja
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice Egyptian themed building with friendly staff. The breakfast was amazing!! The staff were very friendly and would ask us what our plans were all the time. This could be confused with pushy salesman techniques, however I don’t think that was the case. They just wanted to make sure we had the best experience possible.
Cons: Wifi is basically non existent. Very frustrating but what can you do?!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner and staff tried very hard to make us happy. We were very impressed. Location is more relaxing than the East bank.
Cons: The West Bank tour we booked through the hotel was very enjoyable. But the price was deeper than expected.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic place close to the monuments of Luxor West Bank. The members of the staff are helpful and friendly, the breakfast is fantastic, the room was clean and comfortable, the rooftop has a unique view. Many thanks, Hotel Cleopatra was really our second home, and we hope to be that in the very near future!
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Cleopatra hotel is located in a quiet location on the west bank. It has a lovely dining are on the top of the hotel and the food is very good. For the price it's a bargain. To get to the east bank the ferry is a 5 minute walk .
Cons: It was my final destination in Egypt. So going home I didn't like!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: They were super helpful and made our stay amazing. Anything we asked they had an answer, offering several options and even organized things for us. We didn't have to get a guide if we didn't want, they provided inexpensive transportation all day, whenever we wanted. So awesome. Will definitely come back and stay at this property again.
Cons: Actually, we wouldn't change a thing. For the price of what you pay it would be 10 times the cost in other countries. Keep up the great work Cleopatra Hotel!!

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet place, something difficult to find in Egypt. Staff helped to rent a bike so I visited all the archaeological places in West Luxor for just only for 6 dollars. They offered tours as well. Early check-in at 8am without problems. The ferry to East Luxor run 24/7, cost £5 and takes 5 minutes for crossing to the other side. Departure really quick when is nearly full (They are people all the time trying to cross so maximum is 10 o 15 min waiting)
Cons: Toilet had a problem with the flush button you will need to press the button 2 or 3 times is not is an incredible waste of water. Cold room. AC was there but I couldn't find the control remote I suppose it was under demand.

4.0 Okay
Pros: It is away from the crowded city and peaceful property. The owners are very nice people.
Cons: The shower was not working throughout our stay. The water clogged in the bathroom and overflowed. I had to clean it every time. It was extremely cold and none of the AC worked. Even after we complaining no one fixed it. One of the drivers who was assigned to us started getting very aggressive and we had to stop him from the 3 day, all this happened even after we paid him 200 pounds tip and lunch with us.

Pros: The staff was very helpful and available. The Compound is in a really nice and quite area on the West Bank. The place itself with his rooftop and pool is very relaxing! Lots of charm for this house!

Pros: The staff and owners are wonderful. The rooms were well thought out and built with love. Great water pressure and hot water. Beautiful gardens with direct access to the Nile. Well maintained pool and roof Terrace. Great breakfast and coffee all fresh to order. Rooms have small and large kitchens. On suite options, indirect lighting and beautiful natural lighting and comfortable bed dress. Walk past Luxor temple down to the small river boats. Pay 30 Egyptian pound to cross the river in a private boat. Get the captains what’s app number and have a captain for your stay. Hire a Tuk tuk for another 30 or taxi for 40-50 to the resort. Or call the hotel for a pick up from the river. Take bikes around the Nile, ride a horse to the desert, or hire a private car for 200-300 pound for two-three areas at the tombs. Valley of the kings tomb 2,7,11 are beautiful. Xoxo
Cons: It’s remote so WiFi is expected to be sketchy but they do have multiple routers. It’s not their fault. They have routers and signal repeaters around the property.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole place is very beautiful with flowers, orange trees and mouth dropping views of the sun rise over the Nile. The pool is lovely and refreshing during the hot afternoon and best of all are the friendly and attentive staff and owners. No request is to much. The food here is second to none and the variety of dishes made to order with fresh ingredients gives a 5 star restaurant a run for its money. We would recommend Nile Compound to anyone that wants a comfortable place to relax and have a tasty meal after a day of visiting the many sites of Luxor. All sites are within 15 minutes of the compound and arrangements can be made here at the hotel.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious rooms beautifully furnished, lovely pool and garden and roof top sun terrace with amazing views to the Nile. Staff / Hosts extremely helpful, very welcoming. Lovely range of food cooked to order. West Bank a lot quieter than Luxor city, close to the Valley of Kings etc, 35 min walk to ferries (loads of them) or hosts happy to arrange taxis (£2.50). Hosts arranged trips including guides and transport which made things very easy for us. We had a great 10 days at the Nile Compound and were glad we had time for all the sites around Luxor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is great with loads of food.
Cons: The location is a bit far from the ferry. We have to hire a taxi to go to the ferry dock every time we leave the guesthouse. But it also makes the guesthouse very quiet and chill.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The place is breathtaking and the staff is really nice! Poolside is super nice place for quality time as well and can’t wait to be back.
Cons: The location is a bit far but we managed to get to the ferry boat by foot and the staff was very helpful in finding us a taxi or tuk tuk when needed!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel! Amazing facilities and friendly hosts. It isn't located centrally, so it's a short taxi ride away.

7.0 Good
Pros: staff are very friendly and smile all the time, cosy and comfortable

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I ordered room service, it was delivered pretty fast! The food was yummy! The room was nice and quiet. Overall the best hotel I stayed among Cairo and Aswan! Definitely recommend it and will come back again!

Pros: The service is excellent and the staff friendly and professional. The food provided in the restaurant as well. Breakfast buffet is absolutely perfect.

7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast is really good. Both restaurants serve good food. Great location, and of course as a historical hotel the architecture is really palatial.
Cons: The curtains and carpets looked somewhat tired and dusty. Overall the hotel can do with a good deep-clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay here was very enjoyable. The property includes beautifully manicured grounds. The interior furnishings and artwork is a travel back in time. All staff were attentive and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The sofitel Winter Palace Luxor is an extraordinary antique 5 star hotel. You get all the luxury of a 5 star in an atmosphere that preserves history. It's like a little museum when walking around the isles, also inside the Victorian Lounge. The room was amazing, ours was facing the amazing garden they have, very well taken care of, with trees and flowers and a really good swimming pool. The breakfast is a buffet, delicious. The location is also great, close to Luxor temple and the ferry to the West Bank. Also close to Safra restaurant if you don't want to eat in the hotel. Would highly recommend the experience, even if you go just for one night (as we did). We booked it last minute online and the price was great in relation to the quality you get!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful historic hotel but needs a little refurbishing. I heard it will undergo major works soon... So looking forward to be back once it is done
5.4 Okay
Pros: The garden is amazing and the staff was really nice. The breakfast is nice too.
Cons: The hotel was old and not very well maintained. The carpet is full of dust, the sockets don’t work, the WiFi didn’t load one single page. The bed is small (not king as described). We thought Sofitel had high standards, but we were wrong.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The garden
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming room, beautiful grounds, nice pool.
Cons: Breakfast buffet not as good as the ne at the much cheaper Iberotel. Food overall in the hotel restaurants is just okay, and very overpriced. The bar is also a very pleasant room, but underused. Housekeeping was a little lax... bathtub not cleaned, used dishes not picked up.
Pavillon Winter Luxor - Luxor - Building

9.3 Excellent (4,020 reviews)
Overview Reviews
In the very heart of the city of Luxor, the 5-star Pavillon Winter Luxor perches on the banks of the River Nile, nestled in the midst of lush tropical gardens, close to the International Convention Centre and all major local business venues. The contempor ary gives way to the timeless in the surrounding areas of the hotel, where some of the world's most fabled archaeological sites, from the Luxor Temple to the tombs of ancient kings and queens, have endured for millennia and await your visit.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely stunning grounds created an oasis of tranquility and beauty.
Cons: Vendors assail you almost immediately at the hotel exit. This was the experience in Luxor but repeated throughout many of Egypt's tourist areas. luxor
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location nearby Luxor Temple.
Cons: I asked help from hotel reception desk - i had to go to the airport 4 am in the morning and was concerned how to find a taxy - with that "help" driver took 550 LE/35 € for a ride about 10 km (when arriving it was 200 LE / 12 €), 5 times higher than normal price. The second bad impression concerning the hotel staff - some guy working in the hotel kitchen tried to sell me on the street 4 cans of beer for 350 LE/20 € (in Cairo i bought from special shop 4 cans for 100 LE/6 €). Dont ask any help from hotel staff - they at least triple the service price .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were absolutely wonderful. So helpful and kind in every way. The room was very comfortable and our view on the garden was magical. I Can't wait to go back!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has very attractive grounds, the room was fine and breakfast excellent. The restaurant on site was also very good.
Cons: Not a major problem but there is a long walk through the gardens to the reception which, particularly in the dark, was quite confusing. and there were no signs to indicate the correct way. Similarly there were no signs to direct us to the restaurant which was about 400 m. away across the gardens.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The grounds are stunning. The garden is huge and super well kept, I know people come to this hotel just to see the garden. Very nice place to chill out away from the hassle you get on the streets. The pool is also great. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was good. Overall this hotel was beautiful
Cons: Needs a little bit of updating inside...the rooms are nice but age is showing in some bits with the carpets...the AC barely worked and the TV had an awful signal. The food is ok...its a bit burger and chips and sandwich type menu...more egyptian/eastern food would be nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I like the pool
Cons: Nothing to think of
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The pavilion has a very good breakfast. It also shares all the major amenities with the winter palace for a third of the price. For instance, you can go to the winter palace for a drink and charge it to your room and the swimming pool is shared and lovely!
Cons: The WiFi was very poor in our room, but decent in the common areas. If I had to work while at the hotel, I could not have counted on the WiFi.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: They have the most beautiful big garden. You will not find anything comparable in Egypt. This was especially great, since the city itself is not that nice to walk through. The hotel is also directly next to the Luxor temple the Nile and close to the train station. We liked to use the back entrance to get away from the taxi drivers next to the Nile. The breakfast is very good with lots of options. The staff was very helpful with all kinds of questions we had. Overall it was a very nice stay and we would come back anytime.
Cons: You can not expect German standard . House keeping sometimes came in the afternoon or even evening. Our safe did not work, but the personnel did fix the problem immediately. The most annoying thing was the mezzanine of the neighboring mosque. He is very very loud, especially at night, but you can’t change that.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Centre of town
Cons: It’s not very clean & could do with a total renovation
9.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is full of history, I mean the complex between the new and the old Winter Palace Luxor Hotel with a STUNNING garden. Great swimming pool with sunbeds and towels. The staff was very nice from the start to the end. The room was nice, the bathroom as well. The bed comfortable and good bedsheets and good mattress. They gave us the quiet one as we requested and we had a cool balcony with gorgeous garden view. Well located in Luxor. We recommend this place!
Cons: not so so clean.. passable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely pool area. Good cocktails

Pros: Hospitality, staffs are very friedly and helpful especally Mr Ahmad Hamam
Cons: We had a sleepless night due to loud music from shallaby restaurant, old and uncomfortable mattress, small room and bathroom
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a great base for Luxor. I would choose it again if I came back. The staff (thank you Mustafa) are a great team of lovely people. The cleanliness was outstanding. The location is perfect situated on the bustling East Bank. Luxor is laid out before you. Roof terrace views are breathtaking on a clear day and romantic by night. Roof terrace is a very good place to get your bearings... Temple.. ferry.. mountains... west bank. A choice of three areas to eat or have coffee. The Hotel Manager & the Restaurants manager Are both of the highest standard. (I would name them but I have lost their cards)
Cons: At first sight I was uncertain, because the entrance was behind a dustsheet. ( There had been a sandstorm) A lot of Hassle on the doorstep. Unrelenting especially if you are lone female. Be resilient but polite and you will get used to it. OR, go out via the souk rather than the main road.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice boutique hotel across the Luxor temple. They have a good restaurant on the ground level, and the breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace. Professionally run by capable and friendly staff. Location is great.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: One staff member was very helpful and kind. Unfortunately I don't remember how name.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location. Friendly and helpful staff. Helps arranging tours. Very clean. Really good value. The best restaurant in Luxor is the one at the hotel. Views from roof top terrace exceptional - Luxor Temple and in front of the West Bank you can even see Hatshepsut temple! We had good weather so couldn't see the sunset.
Cons: Hot water runs out quickly. Shower very small and water spreads everywhere. Breakfast on bad weather days (when not in the terrace, they have less options).
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Buffet breakfast has a great range of options. Rooftop area is very pleasant. Room cleaning was excellent.
Cons: Cleaning the stairs at breakfast time, when its busy. Small refrigerator in room freezes drinks, as it just stays on when plugged in.
