10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing views to the Nile and Valley of Kings. Great food. Really good Quality-Price
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect hotel with an amazing location. Staff was very professional, room clean. Tasty breakfast and the best was swimming pool with view for river Nile.
6.3 Good
Pros: Fast check in, Room Air condition is cold. Nice swimming pool and view. Food is good in Olives restaurant.
Cons: It is a big hotel also very empty. Staff have concern attitude but not professional for 5star hotel standard. When we enter the hotel, security check it was impolite, I can understand maybe language difference, it will be better to explain open luggage to us before talking to us badly. For the room a little bit old but ok.Not much people to clean the elevator, button always dirty. In the day time the corridor is dark, nothing is on and no sunlight for corridors. Breakfast is fine but could be better. Glasses for drinks is not clean, but the manager have see the problem so he go in to exchange for me. ( basically I took 5 glasses but unfortunately all the same problem ) food quality is ok just not much of choice like the other hotel I have been before. Olive restaurant for dinner is nice, food is delicious. Service is ok could be helpful on what actually the guest need rather only ask if everything is ok. The day after we have lunch in the restaurant, suddenly the staff was yelling each other and maybe they don’t remember we are still there.. it was continue for a while. After that they apologize and we are fine actually but I feel this kind of thing shouldn’t happen in a 5stars hotel. Check out time is easy and fast, only point is I keep my bag and luggage, actually sometimes is no people have eye on my bag, because I just go there and took my luggage and no one was there and no one notice it also... it was really unsecured. Overall is fine, definitely they have a lot of training for the staff management.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Chilling in the pool, overlooking a less developed part of the West Bank and the shimmering mountains beyond.
Cons: If purchasing everyday products on site, the price was a little too expensive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked every things, starting from the nice welcoming by Mr. Mahmoud, the helpful staff, delicious food at restaurants with perfect service, comfortable room and beds, amazing view of balcony. The location was perfect, every ghing was near by.
Cons: Nothing.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Nice view and good restaurants in the hotel
Cons: Room doesn’t worth the price. I was very disappointed with the room. Also, it was a really hot evening, like 38 degrees. We saw some people enjoying the pool and decided to call reception to check what time the pool was going to close. They said it was already close, and nobody was in the pool. haha, I could see people and they said they could also see and nobody was in the pool! HAHA, what a joke, they basically made a huge case of a such small thing. My first experience que Hilton was horrible with the staff, don’t know if I could ever book with them again.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: - The infinity Pool - Relaxed Atmosphere
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff went the extra mile for us every time
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about the stay, from the staff to the facilities was absolutely perfect and I'd recommend it to anyone! The hotel is beautiful and very well kept, the service is unmatchable and the staff is the friendliest and most helpful. We had a particularly great time with Mickey from the Olives restaurant who offers the absolute best shisha mix you could ask for! Thank you all for a wonderful stay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is incredible! A small paradise in Luxor! One of the best hotel I have ever visited!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Man... The Nile is amazing. But the staff was fantastic! Such high level professionalism and no begging for tips or anything. Just very kind and nice and accommodating staff with our enjoyment and satisfaction prized above all else. Really fantastic hotel and dinner on the nile is totally worth it! Shoutout to the best staff Elshazly!
Cons: Everything was fantastic nothing to dislike at all. I dont actually like this part of the booking review because it almost forces people to write something bad about a place that wasnt bad at all! This hotel is an oasis in the desert really.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place was just amazing.. the views of the river, the staff . Can’t say anything negative about the place. It was superb
Cons: Really nothing I’d have to be real picky to come up with one . But why should I, I loved the place

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner and his family quickly make you feel at home. The room was nice and clean. Bed and facilities are very comfortable. Food in the restaurant is amazing, delicious and fresh. Sayed helped me to book tours to get to know the most important and beautiful things in Luxor at a good rate! This hotel is overall great, had a great experience and would stay here again! If you’re going to Luxor I would definitely recommend this place. Staff is very helpful and nice.
Cons: .
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very clean rooms, and quite spacious. Loved the location. Excellent WiFi.
Cons: If you book, and the owner wants payment in US dollars, then bring US dollars with you. The exchange rate he uses is significantly NOT in your favour. Don’t just pay what he says it is. For two nights he was wanting an extra £10 more than we should have been paying. I used currency converter to show him his conversion was incorrect. Next time I will just take dollars.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owner of the place, Sayed, and his staff had many attentions for us. Sayed helped us organizing our transfer, took us by car to the nearby sites (under 40 degrees!) and provided good advices for the balloons, sites to visit... The room was spacious and clean (and made every day), bathroom with high water pressure in the shower (not common in Egypt!) The breakfast and dinner were very good, and served in the restaurant of the hotel. Wifi is pretty good too.
Cons: Nothing... As it was very hot (too hot for me I guess), I would have enjoyed a swimming pool for 1 hour!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable property. I really enjoyed the view from the balcony and roof deck overlooking the sugarcane fields, particularly at sunset time. Food was very good. Sayed, the owner, is a strong personality, who goes out of his way to help his guests. There was a Wi-Fi connectivity issue on my floor, which he moved very swiftly to remedy. He also negotiated a good rate for a bicycle rental, which was brought right to the hotel. The early check-in and late check-out were also very much appreciated.
Cons: 3% fee for paying with Visa. No shower door/curtain, though this didn't bother me much. From an environmental perspective, there seems to be scope to reduce usage of plastic wrap (with plastic used, for example, to cover jam that is already packaged). Some initially quoted local transport prices seemed high, though he also very kindly brought me to some nearby spots on the West Bank at no cost.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the location, they are close to all the temples. his collaborators are very attentive, without leaving one out, and the owner of the hotel that was always available to give us an excellent service and that the stay was like being at home. Every space clean a feeling peacefully.
Cons: Everything was excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Train and Plane Tickets for transport to other cities in Egypt were arranged through the hotel and hand delivered to me. Tours, Activities, Driver and Guide were arranged through hotel, and extremely convenient.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Like the owner said we were not just clients but guests! Mister Sayed could arrange anything we needed : transportation, valuta change, bike rental, visits,... His hotel is very comfortable, clean and pleasant, the breakfast is wonderful and let you have a wunderful sightseeing without starving, and the diner is perfect. The place is very pleasant at the west of the west bank : peace, green and incredible sites within a bike distance
Cons: We missed a roof terrasse for our breakfast but ... it is in construction. So next time we come to Luxor we will enjoy it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really clean and safe! Professional and caring service. We would recommend it!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing and friendly staff. Mr. Sayed is the perfect host and made sure that our stay was comfortable. The rooms are very clean and serviced daily. The chef prepares delicious and fresh food as per your choice. The property is in a great location, travelling to the necropolis in the West Bank was so easy for us. The rooftop offers amazing night sky and a great view. Would surely recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sayed is an excellent host, going above and beyond to make your stay comfortable

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: In these faster days, when you are travelling in a warm country as Egypt and the sun touch your body and give you so much energy, the best way to put it in equilibrium is to arrive to Compound Hotel in the West Bank in Luxor. They have a paradise in the middle of the history of Egypt, it’s a kind of heaven, an Oasis that it’s surrounding by green trees and beautiful Bugambilias, and the shadow touch you as the seda when you return of the adventures. Our room was perfect, with a unforgettable view of the Nile and its palms, a drawing of an artist. The space of the room is big enough that you are not worry if the faraones has something big, you have already. And the food that they can prepare for you, leave all the others restaurants out of the game. Charming, gently, smiling people are waiting for you, and the swimming pool is a cold cloud in the middle of the sun lands.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Stunning and relaxing hotel. Mammoth fresh breakfast. Returned one evening and was asked if I wanted dinner and they cooked a tasty vegetarian meal. Lovely pool in beautiful garden. Room was spacious with lovely bathroom.
Cons: As I didnt have a car, it was difficult to get to places and I had to rely on taxis.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location on the west bank away from all the hustle and bustle of the east bank. Perfect place to chill after a day visiting the sites around Luxor. The owner and staff are really friendly and the breakfast is amazing. The room was also better than rooms I have had in far more expensive hotels.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This guesthouse is a gem.on the West Bank of Luxor. The location is quiet, the perfect place to recover after a hot day visiting the many sights Luxor has to offer. When I arrived I received an upgrade to the suite. A beautifully designed room with living area. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel at home. It was hot (40C) so the chilled lemon juice and cold watermelon were the perfect welcome.
Cons: Nothing
7.9 Good
Pros: The staff was perfect, the food and drinks provided was great. The room was big enough and really nicely decorated as the outside with fruit trees and flowers everywhere.
Cons: The room was so hot for many days (walls and structure) that it took a long time for the AC to refresh the room. The pool was unusable because there's was no maintenance done and underfilled.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: One of the Best hotel i have stayed during my entire 10 days trip in egypt. Excellent location ,such an Amazing and helpful staff. Specially mahamod manager. Amazing breakfast , swimming pool. A must stay hotel in luxor.

Pros: Our apartment was spacious and very clean with two big bedrooms and good air conditioning. Every morning we had a delicious breakfast next to the pool and free towels were provided at the swimming pool. Our host was really nice and helped us with everything and made sure our stay was as nice as possible. All with all a really great experience and a lovely hotel!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: thanks to the manager’s great advice, we had the opportunity to spend great time in Louxor end the Nile Valley...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Too perfect, this is my dream of accommodation, the middle of the night to pick us up, riding a motorcycle to taxi in front to lead the way into the village feel particularly primitive, quiet. All relaxed, compared to the hotel, it's more like a home, village, courtyard, every child's village, warm and honest, gave me some fruit, luxor when I go there, I would like to live here for a month, enjoy the quiet here, like the French lady, will meet in the evening every day in the morning, one day I met her in the villages around at night, and also take me home, just met a holiday over there on the third day, all the children put on new clothes, jewelry, big morning will see a lot of children, is a sense of ritual, permeated with the joy of holiday, the in the mind also follow them happy.
Cons: no
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect!! The people, the bedroom, the food, the pool and the area. 100.000% recomended.

5.4 Okay
Pros: There are nice views from the rooftop, the room and bed size were good, and the food was delicious. Staff were friendly when we spoke. The driver to and from the airport (Ahmed?) was fun and very friendly.
Cons: One of the pillow cases on my bed had some weird brown stains, and also the toilet bowl was quite dirty. Maybe it was just my room, but the AC unit had trouble to keep the room cool even at full power on a cold setting, it was still pretty hot in the room and I was sweating. I even left the AC on all night and all day in hopes that I would return to a cool room after exploring Luxor, but it was still quite hot. Maybe it is because it is so hot outside in the summer though? Often, when I would go down to the reception area, the staff were lying down on the sofa sleeping, and i felt a little uncomfortable if I needed something. When I checked in, I spoke about how I would need a drop off at the airport, and we discussed times and would leave at 7am, so have breakfast at 6:30am. On the check out day, I went to the rooftop for breakfast, but nobody was there, so I went downstairs and they were sleeping on the sofa. I asked about breakfast, and they told me ok and to wait on the rooftop, so I did this, but nobody came for 10 minutes, and then they told me that they don’t have anything for breakfast because it’s a festival; I would have expected they get some foods the day before to serve for breakfast? They suggested I could get some breakfast on the drive to the airport, but the places were closed because of the festival; poor preparation. It would also have been nice if the hotel would have provided a towel etc for taking a shower, but there were no towels. I was not provided with the WiFi password at any point either. One extra thing- not really a bad thing but more of a suggestion- when serving the breakfast or dinner, please put the cutlery separately on the table. During my dinner, it took me a long time to realise that the cutlery was under the bread! Until then, I had been trying to eat everything by picking it up with the bread, as I was not sure whether this is normal way of eating in Egypt, and I could not see the staff at the rooftop; maybe he went somewhere?
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good location close to ferry terminal and West Bank sights. Really helpful staff and a good included breakfast on the roof with a nice view.
Cons: The WiFi was too slow to do anything other than send messages and emails.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is on the West Bank of Luxor, which might seem as a downside. But it is a beautiful escape from the busy Luxor on the east bank and we can totally recommend staying there! Staff is very helpful and the driver Ahmed is friendly and will take you to all the sights if necessary. The rooftop is amazing!

Pros: Thank you to Nasser and his staff I felt very welcome. The room was very large, clean and tastefully decorated. The view from the rooftop terrace was amazing. You could watch the sunrise and sunset over Hapshetsut Temple in the distance. The food was traditional and fresh and large servings. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Cons: The accommodation is further away from airport than I had realised on the west bank. But if you are looking for a quieter and greener alternative this is it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is very clean, well located. The staff is so nice and kind, they helped us a lot. The food is unexpensive, fresh, authentic and dleicius.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, free breakfast, amazing prices the hotel itself was beautifully decorated and the rooftop terrace where we had breakfast was amazing. The room was a small size. But for the price, it was great!! The beds were comfortable as well. Each room had its only balcony that overlooked the amazing land. Good AC as well
Cons: The bathroom was undesirable. Sketchy shower and water pressure. I dreaded showering sometimes lol but like I said, the prices are worth it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staying on west bank is the best idea when you get to Luxor. Indeed you feel more at home than as a tourist and it’s super easy and funny to go to the east bank via the public local ferry. Moreover cleopatra hotel is great with a nice terrace and the people that work there are amazing and very helpful to book tours if you wanna visit valley of the king etc...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The most amazing part of my trip to Egypt was Luxor and the Cleopatra hotel. The owner and staff were so amazing making me feel as if I were a part of the family!!! The food at the hotel was amazing. All fresh and made to order! I will be back.
Cons: Everything was perfect!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The food is served in a most beautiful rooftop setting. The staff are super friendly and caring. They went out of their way to help us through our time in Luxor.
Cons: WiFi speed could be better.

Pros: A friendly oasis. The breakfast buffet is excellent with an abundance of choice. During the day or evening you can sit, eat, drink, by the pool, in the garden, on the roof, or in the restaurant or the bar. It's a quick walk to a plethora of boats, taxis, tuk-tuks and private cars, as well as the ferry across the river. It's easy to hire a driver for the day or just one way. Take a boat to Karnak, the museum, or just across to the Luxor Temple.

Pros: Great personnel, lovely location with a huge garden and swimming pool, very good food
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean. Easy to find. Staff very good.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel with amazing food. the food at the hotel was much better and cheaper than outside the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, the manager Mohammed did a great job by helping us to organise our day tours and hot air balloon for a very good price. Our guides were very friendly and knowledgeable.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great staff and atmosphere. This is created by the garden, roof top terraces and cosy choice on room furnishing and lighting. Pool is a lovely bonus. The staff often goes the extra mile and owner is friendly and very approachable. His office is in the garden...
Cons: The indoor breakfast setting was let down by the many flies. This seems only a problem to this particular room. Can be solved pretty easily by combination of ceiling fans and some UV lights...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: After travelling for 9 months we can most definitely say that El Gezira Garden Hotel is the BEST place we have stayed thus far. If we could give an honest rating we would give it a 20 OUT OF 10! The staff at El Gezira Garden Hotel were beyond amazing with the manager Muhammed making every element of our stay incredible. From the cute rooms to the amazing breakfasts & dinners to the well priced, incredibly knowledgable tour guide that was organised for us, we were blown away. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! - We arrived here as guests and will now walk away as friends.
Cons: Everything was amazing, there was absolutely nothing to dislike. Thank you again El Gezira Garden Hotel, we will most definitely be back!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I cheat a little here as this is my 3rd visit/stay so I know what to expect. I go because of its location, its staff and its facilities and charm which from the photo you can see is unique. It says a lot about an establishment that has the same staff (with maybe a couple of exceptions since 9 years).
Cons: There was nothing to dislike ! Perhaps I would like to see some upgrade in bathroom fixtures and fittings and some external windows and doors replaced, but overall I have no dislikes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything! From the moment we arrived until we left we were treated with smiles and affection, nothing too much trouble. An Oasis on the edge of the Nile, amazing food and gardens, we will definitely be visiting again and so sorry that we couldn't stay longer.

Pros: This is a beautiful, quiet and clean property with lovely views, friendly staff and a very good breakfast. I also appreciate the reception allowing me to check in early as I had an early morning flight.
Cons: I was extremely exhausted from my very early flight so I ordered room service breakfast. Omelette was cold , and the menu said French fries but I was given something that may have been a potato

Pros: It is average.
Cons: Many motorcycles inside the hotel, even between the rooms using the golf car routes, which can be dangerous if you have kids. It seemed like it belongs to the staff as their security were OK with them.

Pros: Great location, smiling & very helpful staff, the selection of food at breakfast & dinner. Best place to relax in Luxor.
Cons: They have a nice big gym but unfortunately the airco didn't work ! I know from other guests who stayed there that it has been ongoing sinds quite some time... What a pity they give it so little attention.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: My 2nd stay in this incredible hotel and everything was absolutely perfect! The staffing was very friendly and welcoming, they were available whenever needed. The hotel is located on a private island, very peaceful and surrounded by the nature. The view on the Nile was stunning, especially during sunset!! The room was perfectly clean and with all the necessary accessories. The bed was smooth and comfortable, slept perfectly fine in an absolute quiet. The restaurant buffet was delicious and offering a large variety of choices, from Egyptian to Western specialties. An Italian and grill restaurant are also available and open at dinner time. The bar is also serving food any time of the day. My special thanks to the receptionist Mohamed Anwar Heghazi for his excellent professionalism and for having made our stay as perfect as it was. We also strongly recommend the tour guide Mamdouh we booked within the agency at the hotel. His knowledge of the Egyptian history was incredible, his explanations in the Valley of the Kings/Queens and the tombs made us live the ancient Egyptians life. In overall our stay couldn't have been better :)
Cons: Nothing to declare - All good
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location is magnificent, magical view over the Nile river
Cons: Car parking is a bit inconvenient, however the hotel provided golf cart to take you there
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, Location, Location! Best view of the Nile possible from the lovely infinity pool - amazing Incredible value for money. Staff very friendly and attentive, refilling pot of tea!
Cons: Nothing, maybe a bit tired, but forget the rooms they are not what it is about. Had problems with door key, but minor stuff!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We always love this place, perfect
9.4 Excellent
Pros: the place was lovely- clean, manicured. super adorable cats all over the place :) the food was amazing- the buffet breakfast and dinner were great. everyone working there was very kind and considerate.
Cons: two things i did not like at all 1) they spray some kind of toxic fumes every night to kill mosquitoes. it's horrible- when it gets sprayed a huge cloud overtakes the entire place and takes a good 20 minutes to settle. we would go in our room and put the towel on the floor to try to keep it out of our room but it would seep into the cracks. this is horrible and i wish they would not do it 2) the internet connection there was not good at all. we got it sometimes- but it was not reliable enough for anyone who has regular work to do that needs reliable internet.

Pros: Location with views of the River Nile
Cons: nil
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A hotel with a fabulous location, a small pool and serves a great breakfast.
Cons: At times, the street noise at night was loud.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing stay. Clean, great view from the balcony, spacious rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Pool was always clean and accessible, they provide pool towels as well. Water taxis right across the street to bring you to the East bank. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
Cons: Not too much around within immediate vicinity, but we knew that going in since we opted to stay on the West Bank for more of a quiet stay. We found breakfast to be slightly expensive for what we got. The instant coffee! :( Opted to head to a nearby cafe for more authentic Egyptian coffee, but that is obviously personal preference.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location is awesome.. You can see nile river on your balcony.
Cons: Counter always no staff. My breakfast serve late. I thought 7am they already prepare but they open at 8am.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were amazing and would do anything for you. The food was incredible and excellent value. The pool is also great and very welcome in the summer sun. The West Bank is definitely the better place to stay in luxor and the ferry across is cheap and easy, the East Bank is full of touts, smells bad and constant hassle. Definitely stsy here if you come to luxor.
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Location on the river Nile is amazing. Comfortable bed, small swimming pool is nice when it’s hot!
Cons: Room was fine - but double bed with only one pillow? When we asked for a second we were given a sausage shaped pillow which wasn’t comfortable to sleep on. WiFi was poor - 3 different networks that we struggled to get to work properly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: check in staff are very nice, when we arrived . The view is very good location in the city . Easy to find . Room is comfortable, new refurbishment.
Cons: I wish Breakfast is more food .

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location nearby the ferry is super convenient! We liked the friendly breakfast with view on the Nile, and the swimming pool after a day of site-seeing is perfect... Pool towels are provided! We chose a room with Nile view where we watched the sunset in the Luxor Temple... Very Nice!!!
Cons: The check-in was a bit awkward, only one towel on the room, not enough toilet paper, ... but they were very happy to help us when asked for more, so no problem.

Pros: This is a very big hotel with a nice location. The pool area is right on the Nile, don't miss the photo opportunity at sunset with the felucas sailing on the river. Breakfast are excellent, very wide variety to start the day.
Cons: The insistance of drivers and salesman once you step out of the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amina was amazing. She provided information and insight not available in any guidebook. This was the secret of our success on this trip. We were able to navigate the local customs in order to experience our desired destinations with a minimum of hassle. Her presence is a treasure at the Steigenberger, taking the establishment from good to great. The breakfast was amazing. It provided sufficient variety to expose us to many types of Egyptian cuisine. The abundance of options meant we had no need to refuel during our adventures until evening. Try the honeydew melon juice. The multiple restaurants within the hotel grounds provided convenient, high quality options.
Cons: The refrigerator could have been larger, considering the amount of water necessary to drink.
8.3 Excellent

Pros: Hotel was perfect!! Location was on the Nile river front and close to all the attractions, reception staff were very friendly and allowed us for a late checkout without any extra charge. The hotel has a wide variety of restaurants to choose from. Pool was great and hotel offers Felluca rides and has a counter for booking sight seeing packages.

7.5 Good
Pros: Terrace restaurant
Cons: Decor/ interior design was a bit dated
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The friendliness of the staff and location. I was also very satisfied of the restaurant within the hotel and nearby the hotel. I also wish to praise SALAH, who worked in that hotel for over 15 years ad started as a doorman and learned to polish his English while being a doorman and got promoted to concierge! He also showed me the ways around the hotel and places to go and see.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: After arriving and being welcomed to the Hotel I was escorted to my room by a lovely lady who gave me all the information I needed for a pleasant stay, also arranging a late checkout for me. All the staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean and bright, fresh fruit greeted me on the table upon entering the room. coffee and tea making facilities were at my disposal. There is also a mini bar should you wish to use it, there are many shops, ATM etc nearby. The back of the hotel is on the Nile with boat trips available. The hotel has many facilities.
Cons: not a great view from my room.

Pros: The View of the Nile. Also the location of the Hotel.
Cons: The Hotel is over used and needs renovation.
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: Worst traveling experience in my life and worst hotel I’ve been so far. Unprofessional, limited understanding of English and they didn’t care about the customer. They overcharge room WiFi. We paid to have internet and the internet wasn’t working. They made me spend like 3 hours to figure out was happening. The stuff was terrible, they sent an “IT guy” to help us out and he hadn’t any idea what he was doing. He came and the only thing he said it was my phone is connecting I don’t know what’s wrong with yours. That’s how he came to help and guess what he made us angrier. We had a lot of work to do and we did nothing because we hadn’t internet. Thank god the we stayed only for a day. Terrible experience

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The West Bank is a great place to stay; 24-hour ferries add to the convenience. I had a room with great views; especially the mountains at dawn. Bathroom very clean, and plenty of hot water. I was able to arrange several excursions through the hotel; all tailored to my requests, and just what I hoped for. The staff were very informative and helpful; for example giving me instructions on getting to the weekly local market, and taking me to a nearby ATM.
Cons: The breakfast is a little ordinary, but I have to say that for all the breakfasts provided by hotels during my stay in Egypt.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Mohammed made this trip a wonderful experience for us. He arranged transport for us from the airport and helped us organizing tours and trips and anything we wanted to do. The breakfast was omelette, bread, cheese, yoghurt and banana (the omelette was really amazing) and the dinner at the hotel was also lovely! The room was comfortable with air conditioning and a balcony and the garden is gorgeous.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Garden and freshness. We feel very comfortable, when sleeping (for tourists it’s very important)
Cons: We like everything, but want to wish something about breakfast. In this country wonderful and cheap fruits, add it in the porridge for example. Cheese (hohland) is not a good idea:)))) super primitive and not a specific
5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was standard. We ordered more tea and had to pay extra. So just be aware of this. The garden was beautiful as shown on the website
Cons: We do think that we were over charged for the trip to "the valley of the kings" as this is realy not that far.. We also paid 20 EP for water that costed 5 EP in the small shop in the village
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The service is very good and helpful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous hotel in Luxor - and everything is sparkling clean. Wonderful garden to eat and relax in with the best meals we had in Egypt -stick to what they recommend for lunch and dinner. Owners were also very helpful in organizing transport and guided tours. They went to great trouble to help entertain the kids - by taking them to feed the neighbourhood camels, etc.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ahmed and Mohamed (father and son) helped us with everything we needed. They made us feel at home. They’re building a wonderful new wing in the hotel that will be finished soon. A great example of hard work and dedication. If you want to have a real Egyptian experience Amin is much more recommended than the big international hotels that lack soul.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful hotel on the West bank of the Nile. It was away from the main tourist areas that are on the East bank but getting to the East bank was easy thanks to the ferry which was a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Breakfast was satisfying and all the staff were excellent. Thoroughly recommend this hotel for people on a budget.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner of the hotel treated us like we were part of his family. Because of his generosity we were able to watch a funeral procession, attend a wedding party, and have tea at his daughter-in-law‘s house. We truly felt like we were part of the West Bank family in Luxor! He also arrange for us to be able to go swimming at a local 5 star hotel and have dinner at their establishment To sum up we had the trip of a lifetime and enjoyed every minute with our Egyptian family. Shokran Ahmed!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was yoghurt, bananas, tea, nescafe, omelet or eggs. and bread and butter and jam. Having bananas, yoghurt and omelet made a sustaining breakfast. in the delightful garden and friendly waiter, Hassan.
Cons: I would have liked a window to see out. There were two but with mandatory shutters to keep the aircon effective.

Cons: The staff is not kind
7.1 Good
Pros: Location was amazing. We were less than 10 minutes away from the Valley of the Kings and Hatsheput. The ferry was a 5 minute walk down the road and we had many restaurants to choose from surrounding us. We loved the small businesses that were around the hotel as well. Breakfast was included which was nice but the food was just OK.
Cons: The hotel was doing construction. We are pretty sure we were the only guests because of the construction and instead of moving us to another hotel, we got to listen to the jack hammering all night and deal with the debris around the entire place. At one point, we couldn't make it to breakfast without going down all the stairs, through the lobby, and then back up the other set of stairs. The last two nights of our stay, my husband couldn't fall asleep from the jack hammering but thankfully, he brought ear plugs with him. We did have one other incident with the staff around our two friends who we invited over from their place to swim. The hotel had no information posted at the desk, their website was down for renovations, their Facebook had no listed rules, and there was no information in the room on additional charges. The staff had apparently let our guests know they needed to pay to swim. At no point while they were over, did anyone come out and ask them to pay or inform us, the guests, they needed to pay. Instead, after our friends left, my husband was confronted by the staff in the lobby and they demanded he pay for our guests swimming. In the middle of their confrontation, they only stepped down after the construction began again for the night, something was dropped, and dust started falling in the lobby. We would have had no problem ensuring the fee was paid had we been properly informed and we felt like with this incident and the construction going on, we wouldn't be recommending or returning to this hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very nice, the room was clean, the bed was very big and comfortable, the food was very good and the hotel is nearby the nile ferry. The pool was very nice.
Cons: The only thing that I think they could improve was the signs for the guests because we felt a little bit lost sometimes inside the building.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful and comfortable rooms. The rooms provide you with everything you need and more, for a pleasant and comfortable stay. Very well organised hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location on the West Bank with amazing view of Luxor Temple. Right in front of the boat jetty so easy access to both sides. The West Bank is so nice and peaceful compared to the big hassles on the east bank - including inflated prices at mini markets etc. Here you are treated like a local. The pool is great to cool off in after a day of touring. The restaurants serves up wonderful and delicious food. Great food in fact. Staff are very helpful and genuinely lovely. Highly recommend.
Cons: Nothing really. Everything was great!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Didn't have breakfast . In a great place close to ferry and motor boats and a short walk to the shops.
Cons: There was no wifi.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly, the owner Karin is a very nice and helpful woman ! She sent someone until the train station to give me back a jewellery lost in the room. Never forget this honestly. 100% quiet, clean et the food was amazing !
Cons: Nothing !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had the most amazing 3 night stay at this family run hotel. It’s situated on the west bank close to tombs etc. and apart from the taxi drivers and boat owners wanting your business it was out of the hustle and bustle which was a plus for us as we prefer to stay where the locals live. About 100m to incredibly cheap ferry fare to east side and then walking distance to museum. The large room with balcony was really clean with thoughtful touches like a large cake of soap and extra toilet paper. The pool looked very clean and inviting. We also ate at the restaurant which was fine. We’ve been in Egypt 3weeks, from the Sinai to the south and this hotel is by far the best in which we’ve stayed, and fantastic value.
Cons: The wifi was average, not only a problem with this hotel but seems endemic to Egypt.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Thanks to Karin and all the lovely people working at the hotel for making our stay comfortable, relaxing and good fun! The room was spacious, the bathroom huge, good effective A/C, delish breakfast and our driver for the Valley of the Kings visit very safe and knowledgable. The swimming pool is a gem where to spend the hottest hours, cooling down. The restaurant serves tasty food in big portions.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped us with our excursions to the Valley of the Kings and Hatsjepsoet. The owners speak Dutch.

Cons: Breakfast....should have more variety....more fruit.....g
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I liked the location being central and next to the Nile.
Cons: I caught Mohammad (outside pool area manager apparently) tying to make a quick dollar out of me. But he was the only staff member that tried. The rest were very lovely.
7.5 Good
Pros: Great tour service to West Bank. Distance from Luxor city centre may put people off but there are minibuses which run to the rain station for about 3LE. Pool are gardens were stunning.

Al Baeirat Hotel - Luxor - Bedroom

8.6 Excellent (73 reviews)

With a stay at Al Baeirat hotel in Luxor, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Valley of the Kings and Colossi of Memnon. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services and a 24-hour front desk. A shuttle from the airport to the hotel is complimentary (available 24 hours).
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The place in the banana trees, the restaurant food, the nice and helpful team, view over the nile
5.4 Okay
Pros: The staff, particularly Rafat, are very friendly, helpful and professional. The location is very good....quiet and no hassle. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. If you want utter peace and quiet, this is a great place.
Cons: The facilities, considering what the hotel are charging, are sub standard and in a state of dis repair. The hotel has a nice local, ethnic, chilled "vibe"....but then does not charge "local" prices....it charges top class, luxury, 5 star hotel prices. The swimming pool, though cleaned every day, is utterly freezing and unheated. The whole hotel basically is tatty and seems as though it has been allowed to go downhill. It certainly needs some maintenance. The owner needs to spend some money to revamp the facilities. We paid 800 US Dollars for 7 nights and this, for the area, is way over priced.
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff were helpful under difficult circumstances, as there was NO POWER, they went out and got food from somewhere! Beds were comfy... big room.
Cons: Old dusty outside area, seat not comfortable for eating at tables, no garden to walk in as advertised. Wi fi to rooms was very weak or non existent, kettle was broken and no milk or creamer for coffee.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful property on the west bank of the Nile so it's lovely and quiet. The bungalows are beautifully decorated and each has their own private garden to relax in. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. The food is good. I would really recommend Al Baeirat to anyone who wants a relaxing place to stay in Luxor.
Cons: Nothing! My stay was perfect. You do have to cross the Nile to get into Luxor but it's never a problem for them to take you across on the hotel boat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a great boutique hotel, top quality, the service is fantastic, the hotel is as a traditional village, the apartments in style are very nice, with all the confort all you need, large, clean, fully furnished, in great condition. Nile river crossing, and immediate when you need, is free!!! A special thanks to Rafat, the hotel manager, always available and very professional to take care of all one needs, but all the staff was very helpful and nice. A very relaxing place for who wants to live a real Luxor experience, out of the conventional stays in big chain hotel, but with a service and room quality as five stars one ..... This is the place we will stay again in case we will return to Luxor
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Food was great. Felucca ride on nile - wonderful. Leila our guide was tremendous. Highly recommended.
7.9 Good
Pros: Cute little hotel on the West Bank, perfect if you want to see how the locals live away from the city. We went in July for 1 night and were the only guest there. We got a “family bungalow” which is 2 rooms with 2 bathrooms in a cottage, very roomy! The decor is spartan but nice and it’s all very clean. the A/C is very cold and so are the mini-fridges.Tthey sell beer for only LE40. It takes about 30 minutes to walk to the part of the village with shops and restaurants, and it’s easy to find transportation. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. There is a mama dog with 4 puppies on the properties, she is an awesome dog, sweet and loving to everyone. I hope they take god care of her...she is missing patches of hair and seems hungry a lot (I gave her all my breakfast :) )
Cons: Coffee is horrible, they should invest in a real coffee machine and real coffee - even and American drip one would be good. I’d happily pay extra for that. Breakfast is pretty simple and it would be nice to get some fresh fruit as well. The pool is nice but will need to be updated soon, it is lined with plastic, not tile and it’s coming off in places.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The view
Cons: The hotel location is great but is has no parking the rooms are big but there are ants and cocoraches all over. the hotel is over price for it's facilities I was the only guest for 3 days
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff very helpful and service was great. Rooms are clean and very nice. Food is delicious! The only way into downtown is by water taxi but this is located right at the property. The manager arranged a driver who was prompt.
Cons: Grounds need maintenance, pool needed cleaning
9.6 Excellent
Pros: In contrast to a large Hotel of the sort that is pretty much the same regardless of what country it is in, El Baeirat was distinctively Egyptian in terms of the rooms, the boat service across the Nile, and the very friendly service.
Cons: Just keep it the way it is!

6.7 Good
Pros: Staff were great and friendly. Let me check in early and arranged all my tours which were great. Location is perfect for walking to the closer sites too.
Cons: Needs to be refurbished. Although everything was clean enough but it was all very old and stained. They had started refurbishing while i was there so it could be better soon enough. But needs everywhere painted and new sheets etc
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Bob Marley House is awesome, if you want to go to Luxor and feel like you is a part of an egyptian family is the best place!
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Ok, some things can be fix (noisy AC) or refresh (rooftop), but with the help of all of the crew, we spend greats days in Louxor, and that's really all we need !
6.3 Good
Pros: The staff were great. Very friendly, always helpful. I was able to organise a great tour of the west Bank through them. While the location is down a seedy side street, it is close to a supermarket and some local food joints. For the money, it is OK.
Cons: I had thought I was booking the more famous Bob Marly hostel in Luxor, but I guess these guys are capitilizing on the same name. It was down a seedy side street, and the WiFi was very slow (but the WiFi issue I think is common in Egypt.)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast and airconditioner
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect, we loved the place and the staff was amazing. 10/10 that I would go back again, I would not even try another place. The staff makes you feel like your at home. Amazing!
Cons: Can’t complain, everything was amazing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I chose this hostel because of the lowest price I could find. Really, I've never been to Luxor before and I was expecting worse but from the first minute I came in to the hostel I was pleased and surprised. I find out there was a message from the management of the hostel only in car on my way from train station. They offered free transfer from station to hostel. It's selection point number 1. Selection point # 2. Extremely welcoming staff!!! They welcome you and give the best first opinion of the whole city in common. First impression is very important cuz of it depends on the first feelings sometimes how your holiday will go. Thank you for everything! Selection point # 3. Good location. It's near by markets, train and bus stations, local market, and Karnak Temple ( I got there by foot about 1-1,5 hour walking). Selection point # 4. Cheap prices. Seriously, the cheapest prices you can find in the whole Egypt. And quality of service should be paid much more. Also, breakfast is included. I was provided a room for changing and small rest after long trip from Cairo. As far as I came before check-in time I was very happy to have this opportunity. Selection point #5. They have special offer of excursion to four temples on West Bank. Seriously, I had experience with excursions in Sharm El Sheikh, Cairo, but they were completely disappointment. But this one was informative, cheap but good. It was a great time there, thank you a lot!

Pros: Only Mustafa at swimming pool was great . He is doing his job very well and he always anticipated me with all my request...
Cons: The hotel is extremely old and need a renovation. The staff needs more training how to deal with customers, means one of employee approached to me to ask a cigarettes, it was look like I am in bazaar, not in 5 star. Another employee drop his dirty water to swimming pool which I was planning to swim. UNBELIEVABLE!!! I wanted to complained via phone, noone answered and no manager at the hotel... DONT STAY PLS..... Cons: The front desk staff don’t tell you about the amazing garden. I love old places like this but they need care and restoration. But the thing that leaves a bad taste in my mouth is the 50 Euro transfer to the airport. It was 7kms and took 15 minutes. This is outright exploitation. I was travelling alone and said repeatedly I didn’t need a minibus
9.6 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Steeped in history this hotel had a fabulous feeling. It was a classic experience of old school glamour. The Nile view from our room was to die for, framed by lovely draped curtains. After a dusty days travel I could luxuriate in a marble bathroom. Little touches like flowers on our pillows added an extra special touch.

Cons: Loved it.

Pros: The breakfast was good but maybe starting at 6.30am would be better, it was hot so early in the morning when you visit the ancient sites. The location is perfect, close to many of the things I wanted to see. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful especially the receptionists Mustafa and Ahmed Omar
Cons: I had a room on the top floor which, because of the summer heat, was very hot until the AC was on and it started to cool down

Pros: Nice location. Facilities are new in general. Kitchen staff are kind and helpful.

Pros: Excellent customer service. Excellent location very central, close to the market and the luxor temple. Excellent restaurant at the hotel with an awesome rooftop view of sunset and the luxor temple. Good food and drinks. Responsive staff clean room.
Cons: Little table space in the room. Tv was a very old one and almost not usable. Better to remove it as it would provide additional table space on top of the fridge. Need to take stairs and not lifts. But was not a major issue. The room was clean but the floor was a it dusty, could have done with a mop.

7.9 Good
Pros: Good location close to the river and the Luxor museum, helpful staff, good value

Cons: Nothing all good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice breakfast and very nice view!
Cons: Wifi in the rooms not included in the price
6.3 Good
Cons: You need to buy internet access and water.
7.5 Good
Pros: View of the Nile from our balcony . A typical Egyptian hotel, guest houses offer more personality and are more helpful and friendly . We booked for 4 but moved on after 3 as we had seen all we needed to see in Luxor.
Cons: Bedding was far too warm, just a top sheet with a cotton blanket would have been better. We were hassled constantly by taxi, boat, felucca, horse cart men from the moment we stepped out of the hotel. After 5 months of travel Luxor was the worst for been hassled.
