They did make sure to accommodate my ask for separate beds, as I was sharing the room with my teenage son. The location is great - just a minute or two walking distance from Paddington station and surrounded by restaurants and little stores selling anything one may need.
Every two minutes you can feel and hear the subway running nearby. You certainly get what you pay for, which - for London City standards - was reasonable, and so was the room. It had a private bathroom down the hallway, but the showerhead could not be adjusted. Not the coziest, but fair enough for the price.
Food was satisfactory
Cramped and crowded dining room. Very very crowded.
My room was on the top floor, so even though London wasn’t super hot then it was pretty stuffy. But there were portable electric fans on offer at the front desk and that made a difference. Front desk folks were friendly and helpful.
The rooms weren’t already equipped with some sort of fan. (I don’t expect AC in that category of hotel). The tap water is signed as non potable although London water generally is safe to drink. I think it was like that the last time I stayed too, not sure what’s going on there.
Good value. Good location. Decent buffet breakfast.
The location is near hyde park and paddington station
There was no fresh fruits in breakfast. Room is narrow. Water in non potable so you need to buy mineral water
