Location is perfect. Very welcoming staff, already ready to help.
Size of the room.
Room was fine, bathroom was fine.
Took ages to check in and check out due to new system being used apparently. Room had been booked for two people but only one robe in room.
Breakfast is excellent as were the staff in the restaurant, the location is just a short walk away from the bars/eateries of Borough Market.
The reception team weren't that friendly
i booked this because it was close to my daughter's accommodation in CHapter Southbank at Great Suffolk street. The breakfast was really good. I liked the eggs benedict. The staff at the restaurant ( ONLY) were good and attentive though I think they are under staffed.
Where do I begin? First of all the room was not clean, as were the carpets in the halls and common areas. Second, they have trainees at the check in desk. One was talking too loud i felt she was screaming and talked to me like I was an idiot. I have travelled extensively all over the world and I know the check in /check out procedures. She kept tellng me to pack my bags before I change rooms. Obviously i knew that. When i asked for amenities like toothbrushes, the staff on the phone seemed annoyed and impatient asking sarcastically what else I needed. These are basic. In the first place guests shouldnt ask for these as they should already be in the guest rooms. Lastly and most importantly- on 2 occasions people entered my room without knocking. First was the housekeeping staff. Second, was random at 1030 in the morning of my check out i heard a voice and a person entering my room so i stood up. it was a male with a purple lanyard on his neck. He walked away as soon as i walked towards the door. Talk about security and privacy! NONE! I am very disappointed .
Staff were amazing even when they couldn't find our reservation details that weren't sent by booking.com they gave us a wonderful room and really went out of there way to make us feel welcome.Amazing
