Location is very good and is only a short walk from Paddington station and close to Hyde Park.
The room was very hot and was next to an area where staff get their cleaning equipment. At 7.30 in the morning the staff were talking loudly which woke me. they tried to come into my room on several occasions also before 10.00AM
Smoke alarm kept going off. At all hours of the night. Bathroom not the cleanest.
Very poor room. Needs a refurb and staff very unhelpful. Never again.
The breakfast is continental. The location is very good, close to tourist areas, close enough to walk to the city.
The rooms are very small. We were in the basement with a view of a light well. The staff try to help but struggled with our brand of English. Had a brush with the owner of the hotel, who was a particularly aggressive and unhospitable woman.
Outside the hotel an old Rolls Royce for display giving the impression that were in for a treat, got to the family room to find a small window out looking a brick wall, this certainly not providing enough ventilation for the very hot room, B&Q style furniture dropping to bits, did complain "cant expect to have 2 adults 2 children staying in here" and got another room the next night , room now smaller, no better , B&Q style furniture is now worn out. Perhaps the mistake was to take the slightly lower price with no cancellation option then the redundant rooms can be given out ! ........ although the hotel seemed to function well and a good location with a selection of restaurants around the corner perhaps the Roller should be sold to upgrade the rooms !....... not going back.
