Pros: Andi and Yuki welcomes us the moment we arrived, and were charming and interesting hosts throughout. The house is amazing, and you keep seeing more and more, from the art work, wooden carvings, bathrooms, individual rooms, lava hot pot in the garden, coffee, tea, fruit. Close to the airport, walking distant to places to eat and shop. A superb guesthouse.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners are very friendly. The room is very clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Couldn’t have wished for a better last night in Iceland! Big thanks to Yuki & Andi for their hospitality and welcoming us to their lovely guesthouse
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I adored my stay in 1x6. I felt so welcome and comfortable there I look forward to returning soon. I choose it initially because it was so close to the airport, but it truly would be a great base for exploring the area. Thank you Andi and Yuki for going above and beyond!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to airport, wonderful hot tub, very funny and friendly hosts, loved all the little extra touches.. Rooms were artistically beautiful and comfortable.
Cons: Everything was perfect. By far the best place we stayed in in Iceland.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a warm welcome from the owners. They are made for this!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hosts and 1st coffee in Iceland indeed! Must visit again :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Yuki and Andi‘s house is the best stay in our trip. They were so thoughtful and warm. Everything is very clean. The location is only 15 min drive to the airport. P.S. must have their breakfast, you won’t be disappointed
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The hosts here were absolutely wonderful. They picked us up from airport for no extra charge, were very accommodating to our odd travel times, and they even left personal bathrobes, house slippers, and pool shoes for us to use. The heated pool was AMAZING and we wish we could have spent more time here. I cannot recommend the breakfast option with your stay enough. Not only is it very worth it, but the hosts' cooking abilities were fantastic. Yuki makes fresh bread, and Andi's espresso skills are on-point. Best experience we had in all of Iceland, and we did A LOT of stuff, so I feel like that's saying quite a bit.
Cons: Nothing. We couldn't recommend this guesthouse enough. Absolutely a highlight of our 9 days in Iceland.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place feels like Iceland. Comfortable, natural and warm. Great view of the sea when having a cup of coffee with hosts. Nice little town. Best place to stay for central location if hiring a car, you can go in every direction. 30 minutes to Blue Lagoon. 45 minutes to Reykjavik. 25 minutes to the bridge. Local places cheap to eat. Easy for the airport for early am flight. Seas!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hospitality from two of the nicest, friendliest people you could meet on your travels. Staying at 1x6 isn't just a means to an end, it is a must-do experience. Of course the accommodation is sparkling clean with everything you could need and many nice personal touches from the hosts, but the true treasure of 1x6 is the hospitality from Andi and Yuki. All the best to you guys and thank you, we really hope to see you again soon for our 3rd stay in 1x6.
Cons: - That we had to leave and once again say goodbye to Andi and Yuki.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Near airport Friendly host picked us up at airport great room with high comfort
10.0 Excellent
Pros: + good location + large and light room + big bathroom + huge comfortable bed + only two rooms per kitchen and bathroom - no need to wait for ages
Cons: - none
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Clean room with a large TV (with German channels). The big and clean separate bathroom was just opposite our room. One can use a kitchen as well. The location is just perfect to go to the airport (it's just a ca. 10 minutes drive by car). One can hear and see starting aircrafts but that's normal if you live so close to an airport. There is a gas station (ÓB Reykjanesbær) which is just a 1 minute drive from the accomodation away. We can recommend this accomodation especially for people like us who have to get an early flight.
Cons: We woke up because of the noise other guests made preparing something in the kitchen around midnight.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very spacious apartment, had the perfect location to see the northern lights just 5mins away
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was clean, and newly remodeled. The owner was accommodating for the late check in. It has complete kitchen, bathroom, and dining room facilities.
Cons: The shared bathroom tends to get busy in the mornings.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Huge room and huge guesthouse. Everything ok!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Huge apartment very close to the airport - excellent for an early departure. Beds were comfortable and kitchen well equipped.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The guesthouse was beautiful, very clean with great facilities, room is very big and there was even a sofa in front of TV. The host was absolutely amazing, super nice, and he made our trip to Iceland complete by showing us the northern light-that was the last chance for us to see them and we would miss it if he would not call us. Really great host, beautiful accommodation and we were very happy with our short stay. Definitely we recommend this place.

Cons: Niets.
5.4 Okay
Cons: Check in was the worst experience of my trip. Address is not accurate so we had no idea where to go. Also, no direction on where to park or how to get to our room. They have quiet hours but the other guests did not honor them. Would not recommend staying here.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: simply great , better than many 5 star hotels
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hospitality, many products for breakfast, we had a great stay thank you!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Keflavik is not big, but it is a lovely little town. It is 5 minutes from the International Airport and if you need to be in that area, this property is the best you can find anywhere. Spacious, super clean, self-service breakfast with a huge choice of fare and at walking distance from everything you may wish for, including the Northern Lights. It is not a traditional hotel where you are relegated to a furnished box... it is a proper apartment with a huge bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and a great bed! Truly, a home away from home. The manager/owner is a lady who is super helpful and always there to take care of you. Really really recommended!!!!
Cons: There is nothing not to like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This guesthouse is a couple of minutes from the airport. The owners are friendly, helpful, and accessible. The house has three separate bedrooms with a shared hallway bath. The room we were in is a spacious one bedroom with a private bath. It has a full kitchen and a stocked for breakfast. It is in a quiet neighborhood, but within one block of all of the small-town offerings. The guesthouse is under 45 minutes from Reykjavic and about 20 minutes from the blue Lagoon.
Cons: It is all good

4
9.2 Excellent (2,078 reviews)

Hotel Berg is only a 5-minute drive to the airport, yet has quiet surroundings, as it is well away from the noises of the airport.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice, clean, comfortable rooms and bathroom. Helpful and friendly staff. Airport is 5-6 mins by car, so very practical if you are heading there the next morning.
Cons: We had a pretty loud neighbor but that’s not necessarily the fault of the hotel. Breakfast is ok, but no worries if you miss it.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hot pool on the roof was amazing. The staff was very friendly.
Cons: No dinner options.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is absolutely lovely, modern, warm and comfortable! It gave the sense of Hygge. The rooftop pool was wonderful for watching the storm. The breakfast was abundant. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic Setting with great sea and harbour views,,warm welcome, friendly staff, excellent tasteful interior design and quality fittings, v comfortable bed, rooftop hot tub, excellent breakfast, great complimentary coffee and teas, complimentary airport shuttle Nice trail to walk along the clifftop with sea views and wildlife. Situated at far end of town, Kafi Duus is a 3min walk away and has excellent seafood.
Cons: Room was too hot and underfloor heating slow to alter, window was very difficult to open and then impossible to close easily. A tie back for net curtain would be great as the views are awesome!
7.4 Good
Pros: Great for catching an early morning flight from Keflavik - free shuttle and nice hot pool to relax in the night before
Cons: Very expensive, but it is iceland!
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Berg was a great location five minutes drive from Keflavik when our flights were cancelled! The hotel is trendy but remarkably affordable and feels luxurious. The free hot drinks went down a treat, as did the rooftop heated pool...even in gale force winds. It was the perfect, relaxing end to an otherwise amazing trip.
Cons: Not a huge amount in the area if you're staying for more than a sleep before/ after flying.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, great staff.
Cons: Breakfast not included

Pros: Great location for getting to the airport. The gentleman running it was very nice. Had a spacious bathroom and comfortable bed. Didn't get a chance to experience the breakfast, unfortunately.
Cons: It was all very good. Typical of all Europe, the only bed covering was a duvet, which was too warm for me traveling in the summer, but that's to be expected.

Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful, they made the most wonderful continental breakfast. View overlooked the water, it was beautiful.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel really lets you see what hospitality and comfort should be like. Our flight left at 6:40am and the hotel provides a complimentary 'pre' breakfast at 4am for early travelers. There was breads, small meats, cereal, yogurt, fruit, assorted cream cheese spreads, coffee/tea, juices. Regular breakfast starts at 8am. Just this alone was enough to win me over. Add to that the rooms were very clean, the showers had great pressure and the beds were super comfy. The only issue I had was that they give us two twin comforters instead of one big one... Yup, that was it. Behind the hotel is the sea.

Pros: The welcome by reception was caring and nice. The room was warm, clean and comfortable. Ideal for stopover as airport only 10 minutes away and quiet location. Receptionist organised a transfer for us. Everything was good
Cons: Nothing it was fine
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable, clean, warm and cosy accommodation. Located close to a supermarket, fuel station and more importantly for us, the airport. Perfect for early morning flights. The owner was warm and friendly and very sweet with our baby. Check in was smooth, as was check out.
7.7 Good
Pros: Our room was large, clean, and quiet. Not elegant or romantic but spartan economical functional. Bed was cozy.
Cons: 2nd floor walk up. Besides that, it was great. Maybe there is an elevator we didn't see but we weren't feeling that lazy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The space was perfect for our last night in Iceland. We hit some bumps in the road with previous lodging on our trip, which is to be expected; however, it was quite relieving to walk into Bergas Guesthouse and be greeted with a friendly face and such attention to detail. The check-in process was the smoothest we experienced, our room was prepared and ready for us to walk in and fall into very comfortable beds to rest. We booked here because it was a short drive to the Blue Lagoon and minutes from the airport and we would be visiting both in the following 24 hour period. Perfect location, great price, lovely owners. Wish we could have stayed a little longer to explore the surrounding area and waterfront. I will definitely keep Bergas Guesthouse in mind for future trips.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Owners and staff very friendly and helpful. The beds and bedding were extra comfy. The communal areas were very cosy and inviting. There was no noise. All the family loved it.
7.1 Good
Pros: Very close to the airport and was ok for the price but without breakfast.

Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel hosts were wonderful people, warm and welcoming. They made a great dinner suggestion for us and even phoned in the reservation, which was so nice after our long travel day. The beds were comfy and rooms very clean. We couldn't have been happier.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else. Very nice proprietor. Clean efficient space
Cons: No tv
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We slept here on our way from the airport. It is a decent place for one night if you need a place to stay before a flight. The service lady was very vey nice and helpful with everything. The facilities are fine - nothing fancy but the value for money is ideal.
Cons: Everything was fine. We just stayed a night, so we had everything we needed. Again - this is a in between hotel for in and out of airport sleepovers. If you use it for that purpose, it will serve it well.
6.7 Good
Pros: Near airport
Cons: Cannot control temperature in room.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: An adorably designed place very close to the airport. No problems with very late check-in. I loved the well eqipped kitchen with all the products for breakfast which you can prepare any time you need (great for early check-out). The owner, Reynir, was very friendly and helpful.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Clean and welcoming
Cons: Reception not around while we were there
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It is near airport so good for early departure or late arrivals. Very interesting decor, each room has a theme. Share bathrooms are big and clean, breakfast spread is good as well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The charm of the renovated historical property. The host! He went out of his way to help us celebrate our anniversary, accomodate special diet, helped us get around. We mostly stayed right in Keflavik, and it was interesting, laid back, quiet, just what we needed at the time.
Cons: Nothing. We were happy with everything.
7.0 Good
Pros: Very Nice host, nice couch, good beds and I think it is a beautiful stay. I like the style of the old cow farm And there is a very Nice vibe!
Cons: Honestly, not a lot of healthy breakfast options And I think the price-quality is too much!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved it here, it's so cosy and homely, yet incredibly unique. There is so much attention to detail in your surroundings. The breakfast was self service/buffet of meats, cheeses, bread, spreads, cereal, salad etc and great coffee! There is a small fridge for you to store your things. We really enjoyed sitting by the window for breakfast (underfloor heating was lovely), the hottub was fabulous after a long day, Reynir was the perfect host, putting out candles etc around the hot tub and chatting to us (we're usually not chatty people, but he put us at ease immediately). the location was perfect for exploring the Reykjanes penninsula for the few days we were there, it's also very close to supermarkets, restaurants, vinbudin and several museums. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again
Cons: It's hard to find fault with the place, the only thing (and it wasn't a big thing) is that the noise travels, so when a group of people got up early for breakfast they woke us up with chatting, but we soon fell back to sleep.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Reynir picked us up from the airport and drove us the 15 minutes to the b&b, super easy to sort out the shuttle. Absolutely lovely house with a huge beautiful kitchen and comfortable clean rooms. Shared bathrooms were big & clean, the outdoor hot tub really relaxed us after a day of travelling. Reynir was helpful, informative and really friendly. Check in process was quick and straight forward. Breakfast was good with plenty to choose from. Absolutely no complaints. Highly recommend, we were sad we only got to stay there the one night!
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: The introductory tour by the son was fabulous and such a great overview of the wonderful eclectic decorations and antiques collected by the aunt in her travels! Hot tub was delightful! All the rooms had plenty of outlets, bathrooms spacious and lovely fixtures! Plenty of help yourself breakfast choices! Great WiFi It was our last night of 9 and probably the most fun of all the lodgings.....way beyond expectations and so close to the airport!
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owner welcomed us with a late check in, hot tub at the ready! We had a lovely stay and it was a shame we didnt spend longer at the place.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: nice staff, great location next to the airport, spacious room (family room with 5 beds). Fine breakfast.
Cons: we found only 1 restaurant (Langbest) in walking distance....
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable! And close to airport! Booked for our last night. Room was very big. Clean and nice!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Start hostel was clean, comfortable, rooms were generous and beds very comfortable. The breakfast was varied and delicious, and they start it at 4:30 to accommodate early flights. I booked this last minute to accommodate a 10 hour layover, and it was a great choice. The staff checked me in late (just after midnight) arranged my cab and provided a yummy breakfast. I would consider staying here if I did a layover in Iceland in the future.
Cons: It was a little further out than I liked - cabs cost almost as much as the hostel bed. But Iceland is expensive and this is minor. It is also expensive for a hostel bed. But it was toward the low end of the options, so this may just be a complaint that Iceland is expensive.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Beds were comfortable, room and bathroom were clean. Free tea/coffee 24/7 was a big perk. Very close to airport, stable wi-fi and free parking.
Cons: It was difficult to find, my GPS didn't register the hostel address as a real place so I had to use a map to find it.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent friendly staff.
Cons: Shower wasn’t working.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely people who ran the hotel - they made us very comfortable and were very helpful with information.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great service, big comfortable room, great breakfast, friendly staff.

Pros: Basic hotel and hostel 10 minutes from Keflavik airport. Very clean, good breakfast. Unusual circumstance had folks staying there because flights were cancelled. Hotel unexpectedly provided sandwiches midday- very nice extra!
Cons: Considering the cost there was nothing I could suggest. Hotel was a little farther from the airport than I expected...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast, close to airport.
Cons: none
Kef Guesthouse By Keflavík Airport - Keflavik - Bedroom
10
8.7 Excellent (1,587 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Kef Guesthouse by Keflavík airport in Reykjanesbær, you'll be near the airport, within a 5-minute drive of The Icelandic Museum of Rock 'n' Roll and Stekkjarkot. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. A roundtrip airport shuttle is complimentary (available on request).
7.1 Good
Pros: This is a barebones guest house. We had a shared bathroom, but it was clean and served our purpose to be near the airport for an early flight. The breakfast provided was just fine. We appreciated the shuttle service to the airport!
9.1 Excellent
Pros: - Ideal for early/late flights - Early/Late Airport Pickup & dropoff provided - Bkfst started 3:30am
Cons: Location, while close to airport, is not ideal for much else.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: I was charged $93 as a single traveler. I had made the reservation thinking the price corresponded to the comfort level. It did not. This is a glorified hostel on the outskirts of town. It is in an old industrial type building away from the center of town. Very noisy with smelly bathrooms. Only 3 bathrooms for quite a lot of rooms... When I brought up booking.com for the date that I was there the price came up for $63. I brought this to the attention of the owner. I was being charged the price for a family room. He said that it was too bad, I had booked at that price. He was quite unfriendly and defensive about the situation. Bottom line: I was overcharged and told 'too bad', it was my fault for booking it at that rate. I travel through Iceland twice a year and have stayed in many guesthouses in Keflevic. I have had very good experiences with all except this one.
7.9 Good
Pros: Comfortable, clean and close to airport
Cons: Breakfast is really not good
4.2 Okay
Pros: The guesthouse is a 4 minute drive from the airport.
Cons: The rooms are small with a sink. The duvet which (only because it came out off the cover) was pretty stained but the sheets clean. There are three communal wet rooms with a shower and toilet for use between around 15 rooms. The wet rooms themselves were clean and fairly modern but for paying £87, I’d expect more for my money. The breakfast was very basic with bright orange liquid for drink (I’m not sure what this was, it didn’t taste like orange!) the best thing was toast and jam. Again, for £87, I’d have wanted more for my money. There was rarely ever anyone on reception so I can’t judge staff.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Good rate, easy accessibility from highway, near food options and near airport
Cons: Much farther from Reykjavik than I expected, good jumping-off site for airport but not for the rest of the country...
7.0 Good
Pros: Recommended for an overnight stay when departing for an early flight the next day as it is hassle free with the complimentary airport pick-up/drop-off. Sink provided in the room has an added advantage and there's no queue for the bathrooms. Simple breakfast is included and starts as early as 4am.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful, clean, spacious, unique
7.1 Good
Cons: Toilet is really dirty and no shampoo or body shower
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A place is simple and humble, but has all you might need. The staff was extremely helpful and we had the best service throughout out trip in Iceland! Would highly recommend and use them again.
Cons: Nothing in particular
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff on reception - offered to collect us from car hire
Cons: No en suite bathrooms

Pros: This is a nice hotel located 2 minutes from the airport. It is very convenient when taking a late or early flight. Beds were comfortable and place was very clean. Front desk staff was very kind and accommodating. There was an elevator for heavy suitcases (yes!), first hotel to have it since arriving in Iceland and staying in 7 different hotels. I was very happy with this hotel.
Cons: Only thing missing was tea/coffee and kettle in room, this would have been a nice touch.
7.9 Good
Pros: The room was spacious and the beds comfy. The location is great if you have an early flight. Breakfast was good and was available from 4.30am for early travels like us. Perfect!
Cons: The shower took a really long time to get warm. The ventilation fan in the bathroom was not very clean looking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to airpor. Nice, clean and comfortable rooms. Bathroom is equipped with a hairdryer and toiletries.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The receptionist was very obliging and helpful as she put our cheese in the fridge overnight and got us fresh milk for our tea.
Cons: Toilet basin floor area gets very wet when you have a shower .Perhaps you could have a longer shower curtain almost to the floor to stop water getting beneath it .I would have liked a bright central standard lamp in the bedroom .This would help when packing and unpacking .
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Good value for the amount I paid. Location was within walking distance of the airport and rental car return.
Cons: No complaints.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, 4 minutes walk to Departure Hall of the airport. Spacious room, clean and comfortable. Friendly staff and cozy hotel. Breakfast was fine, basic but good. I had asked for room on upper floors and had one with a fine view view, quiet and nice.
Cons: Bath towels could have been bigger. Front desk never answered the phone when I called to ask for a wake up call.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: I showed up at midnight with my infant daughter. They helped take my bags to my room. They offered up a cot for her and immediately made it up with a nice clean sheet and baby duvet. There was a highchair in the dining area for her as well.
Cons: If I could have taken the pushchair from the airport to the hotel that would have been super helpful. I didn't ask though. Maybe you can?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to the airport - just a 3-4 minute walk from the terminal building. Clean and very comfortable - a great place to stay!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: If you need to get flight early morning better to stay in this hotel For sure you won’t missing the flight only a couple mins walk. And a guy at the lobby his name is Marko he is look cool. And nice
Cons: Nothing
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Location: 5 to 10 minute walk from Keflavik airport. Excellent Staff: I flew overnight and didn't account for the date change. Staff was very accommodating, changing my dates and even letting me check in early. Before we realized the error, they were happy to hold my luggage. Food: The breakfast buffet was just ok, but I enjoyed the chicken stir-fry at dinner. A seamless experience to land in the morning, store luggage, go touring for a day, then check an early flight out the next day.
Cons: Getting there: there is no side walk, so you must take a detour around the parking lot or walk more directly on the grass. This was more my/ reykjavik excursions fault: I asked the ticket woman from flybuss about the bus into the city, and she said every 10 minutes, I ended up taking my time at the hotel and missed the flybus. The next one would go 2 hrs later, missing my tour. I had to take a taxi. If you do drop things at the hotel, you should go back to the airport quickly as the last bus to the city tends to leave within 40 minutes of landing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Convenience. Knowledgeable staff comfortable bed
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very nice, kudos for the "emergency food" the lady was about to provide (as we arrived after closing times of the restaurant). Breakfast was really good as well.
Cons: It was kinda loud because of strong winds outside... but i guess not too much one can be done.

The house is amazing, and you keep seeing more and more, from the art work, wooden carvings, bathrooms, individual rooms, lava hot pot in the garden, coffee, tea, fruit. Close to the airport, walking distant to places to eat and shop. A superb guesthouse.

Pros: I adored my stay in 1x6. I felt so welcome and comfortable there I look forward to returning soon. I choose it initially because it was so close to the airport, but it truly would be a great base for exploring the area. Thank you Andi and Yuki for going above and beyond!

Overview Reviews
Hotel Berg is a newly renovated four-star boutique hotel on two floors located above a small marina in Keflavík, where most travellers begin and end their journey in Iceland due to its short distance to the international airport.

Cons: No dinner options.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Proximity to Keflavik airport. The hotel is located in a quiet area and the staff are very helpful. Hot water and good water pressure in the shower. The room was reasonably spacious, very clean and the bed was comfortable.
Cons: The buffet breakfast had the standard food, but it was not tasty.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location close to airport. Helpful staff.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location is super close to the airport, therefore convenient if you are flying the next morning. Good thing that the stuff was flexible to serve us cold breakfast earlier than scheduled, as we had to catch an early flight.
Cons: NO LIFTS! First time that I am in a hotel It was a first for me to stay in a hotel with no lifts. We had to carry all our suitcases up the stairs. Rooms are also lacking bedside tables, we had to leave our glasses, phones etc far from the bed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is close to the airport. I was able to play tourist in the morning before flying out in the afternoon.
7.4 Good
Pros: The staff were brilliant and great with our teenagers !
Cons: Hotel close to airport but slightly isolated from everything els , no restaurant .

Pros: Nice house in a very calm environnement. Beautiful vista and good location near the touristic areas. A hot tub was available for us to relax after a day of hiking in the neighbourhood. I recommend it !

Cons: No tea and coffee available in room but only in breakfast room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was nice, very close to sadcars
10.0 Excellent
Cons: No free shuttle to/from airport...adds to cost of stay due to taxi fares.
6.8 Good
Pros: The hotel cost is very reasonable given the facilities. Room was clean and large enough, bed comfortable, and the room had useful amenities such as desk, comfortable chair, toilet and shower. I took advantage of the sauna and jacuzzi, which were nice but nothing exceptional. They also have fairly nice exercise equipment. However, it really is located in the middle of nowhere with nothing else to do in the immediate facility (except go for a walk, but not what I consider a scenic view). it seemed quite costly to take a taxi between the airport and hotel. Cost of the two taxi rides was about the same as the price of the hotel. Cheaper than staying at Hotel Smari at the KEF airport, but I was surprised by the transportation costs.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel location to blue lagoon and KEF airport were great. was clean, friendly staff, breakfast was descent.
Cons: The noise in the hotel carried - and wasn't good for a light sleeper to get a good night sleep.

Pros: Good location, very near the airport
Cons: The clerk spoke bad English and gave us a breakfast time card which said it was at 5am and she crossed out and put it at 7am we arrived at the hotel reception to check in out at 5:15 pm was when we realized that after all breakfast was even at 5:00 am, besides being an airport hotel is for people to rest and we could not sleep at all because the hotel has bad insulation and All night there were cars driving on the street and the noise of a disco in front. The bathroom in the room had only one light in the mirror which did not allow large light for the shower.

Pros: The hosts were wonderful. They picked us up at the airport late at night and took us directly to the hotel, where they showed us to a lovely, clean room that was tastefully decorated. Our window faced the ocean for a fabulous view, and the owners were incredibly helpful and kind. They made arrangements for us to visit the Blue Lagoon on our way to the airport the following day and made everything very easy for us. The included breakfast was well stocked with fresh food. We would definitely stay there again!

Pros: Breakfast was OK. Typical for Iceland. Hotel in good location to explore area. Staff helpful. View was OK, not great, looked over water.
Cons: As I mentioned, breakfast was typical; we are accustomed to more hot breakfast foods - eggs, oatmeal, etc. An elevator would have been nice. I have trouble with steps.
7.5 Good

Pros: Had a great first night in Iceland at this hotel. Nice staff, great room and an amazing view. Can't beat the value for the price. Simple amenities, but didn't need them anyways.
