The hotel is very convenient for the airport. Despite being in town it was quiet. Close to the sea. Good drinks machine available to use, free, whenever you liked.
Breakfast. When we booked we wrote to check that breakfast would be available very early and were assured that it could be served as early as we needed it. On arrival there was a notice up to say that breakfast would be served from 5.00am. This was too late for us so we asked if it would be possible to pack up a breakfast. 4.45am was suggested for us to take sandwich bags and pack our own. However the breakfast wasn't worth having, although in desperation we made a sandwich each. There was only cheap white sliced bread; the spread we chose not to use as it was less than half full with remnants of food bits and puddles of oil in it.
Hotel is not easy to find.
The location is perfect for coming and going from the airport. It is a lovely little town to walk around in, with fabulous views of the ocean and a few lovely restaurants. We found a few cute places to shop as well. The hotel is small and clean and comfortable, nicely appointed, and the breakfasts are great (Icelandic style.) The staff was very accommodating, getting us little things that we needed or wanted with a smile. I've stayed there 2x now and would stay there again.
There is nothing I didn't like or thought could be improved, but it might be good to know this hotel has no extras some people might wish for like a spa or gym. As a place to simply relax and get away from things, it is perfect.
Well located, friendly staff, really nice breakfast included which is served early and the transport to the airport in taxi is covered by the hotel. Highly recommended!
Front office person, Mr Munnar was very helpful. Breakfast was sumptuous and had a good variety for vegetarians.
