10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gabriele (the owner) was amazing and incredibly helpful, providing us with a map of the city, and excellent restaurant recommendations. The rooftop terrace has a great view of the ocean and is very relaxing! We wished we could have stayed even longer.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Manager Gabriel was excellent in every way and extremely accommodating! The room was efficient, with all amenities, AC, and the patio rooftop afforded great views. No elevator so pack light. Location couldn’t be better.
Cons: There was nothing I didn’t like.

Pros: Breakfast was great, lovely patio overlooking the water.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great property. There is one staff is name is Gabriela and he’s amazing - does everything!!! Our room was super comfortable and really big. WiFi was awesome as well. $200 in my opinion is expensive for 1 night but there are not many options in Monterosso! Would definitely stay here again.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It was Central location convenient to everything.
Cons: Bed wasn’t most comfortable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: So friendly, helpful and clean The boss Gabriele is so dedicated to his guests and the property thank you

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The recommended one if you want to stay in Monterosso. The staff was so welcoming and pleased to help you. Gabriel took a good care of me throughout 3 nights I stayed. The staff here made me feel safe and secure as I traveled alone. The bed was comfortable. The room was not too small and it comes with an A/C. (very important to me for summer) The location was great, just a few walk to the main beach. The breakfast was nice with the amazing top view of Monterosso. The hotel made my first solo trip in Monterosso memorable! Love it!
Cons: Nothing I didn't like. Maybe just only if the hotel would have the beach view would be amazing hotel!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent food & great location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Il Parco exceeded all expectations. Marta and her parents were so so friendly and accommodating. The checkin and checkout process was seamless and the breakfast service was superb! The room and property itself was impeccable - the view incredible. Location was ideal, only a 10-15 minute walk down into town with taxi service throughout the day too. Seriously, everything was amazing!
Cons: Nothing - everything was great!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location close to town but on a qiet road. Beatiful, well-kept garden with wonderful views. Cost breakfast terrace with superb freshly cooked omellet.
Cons: Beds short (190 cm) and a bit hard. Selection of tea (black) could be better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was wonderful. Great staff. Very helpful.
Cons: All was great.
4.6 Okay
Pros: The pick up service was nice.
Cons: The room was close to some sort of road so there were lights shining through. Also, the place is in Monterosso I rather would stay in Vernazza- next time I am there. I did not travel to CT for a beach which is the main attraction for Monterosso.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: we loved our six night stay at bnb il parco! the property is everything you could ask for and the staff made our experience so memorable! we was lucky enough to have a room with a garden with views all over the cliffs to the sea. i don’t know how they manage to keep their gardens so perfect but somehow the gardens throughout the b&b are literally so perfect they look fake (they’re not). the breakfast is so lovely, i personally could not have wished for a more perfect selection - you can order omelettes as well as having an extensive italian theme breakfast buffet with such fresh meats, fruits and pastries. martha (one of the hosts) went out of her way to come and get us from the train station and take us up to the b&b upon check in and even sent us a little welcome pack with recommendations, map and shuttle times. the b&b have a super handy free shuttle service but the walk from the town to the b&b is no longer than 10 minutes - i guess it just depends how much your feet are hurting from exploring! :) we could not have picked a better hotel and we have both said if we come back to the cinqueterre we wouldn’t stay anywhere else. the staff are so polite, friendly, helpful and always greeting their guests with a smile! thank you b&b il parco for a perfect week.
Cons: not applicable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a delightful retreat Il Parco was. Marta and her family were wonderful hosts. The facilities were immaculate, clean and modern with beautiful gardens. The view was spectacular from our balcony and at breakfast. Worth the effort to get up the hill, which we didn’t have to do very often as they also provided a shuttle service, which was great. Last welcoming touch was they pay the tourist tax on behalf of their guests! Definitely recommend II Parco
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent views, breakfast, location and service. Will stay again.
Bellambra - Monterosso al Mare - Building
3
9.4 Excellent (236 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Set in a 14th-century building, Bellambra is in the centre of Monterosso al Mare, part of the Cinque Terre coastal region. It offers en suite rooms with free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV and air conditioning. Rooms combine classic-style furnishings and wood-beamed ceilings with design bathrooms. Some feature views over lemon gardens, while others face the historical centre and olive groves. Breakfast can be booked as extra, and is served in the shade of the trees or in a dedicated area indoors. The Bellambra is just a 2-minute walk from the beach. Monterosso Train Station is 700 metres away. Restaurants, cafés and handicraft shops can be found in the immediate surroundings.
7.1 Good
Cons: There is no elevator and the stairs were steep and difficult to bring luggage up
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming room and well appointed bathroom. Location excellent.
Cons: Breakfast was supplied by the bar under Bellambra rooms and was average. Had to ask a rather disinterested barista to make coffee. 3 flights of stairs with suitcases.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Located in a prime location on Via Roma in the old Monterosso al Mare, it’s is close to all the good restaurants, beaches and just a 10 minute walk from the train station. The rooms are beautifully designed with comfy bed, large wardrobe, beach towels some olive oil shampoo and a larger then expected bathroom. Rooms are also cleaned every morning. Communication with the host was great and on meeting him he was full of chat with great advice and couldn’t do enough for us. Will stay here again when I return to Cinque Terre as we enjoyed our stay and had no issues.
Cons: Not to much not to like, just travel light as there is no lift and also you need to keep your eyes open or you will walk by the main door.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Excellent people
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Above average sized room for Europe. Large awesome shower. Great view. Great location. And we were met by Lorenzo co-owner who was extremely amicable and helpful to begin our stay there.
Cons: The wine bar below (not run by Bellambra property owners) was OK, with a good wine bar but less than satisfactory service (in regards to speed and attitude. Again this is not run by Bellambra ownership—I really wish they would run it.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Central location, clean and spacious rooms. Great host.
Cons: The mattress was a little hard for me
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice & cosy. Bed is comfy. Location is away from the beach but easy access to eateries & if you plan to shop for souvenirs.
Cons: Mosquitoes in the room
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The property was way bigger than we needed, website stated bed & sofa bed. We had 3 bedrooms & a kitchen. Website showed view of the sea which made us think that the place had an ocean view and that was why the cost was so high.. alas, no ocean view from Bellambra! Check in was easy but brief, no real explanation of the area, but we managed just fine! The bed was comfortable, the shower was adequate size and breakfast was convenient in the restaurant downstairs & good selection of tasty food & cappuccino! Would definitely visit Monterosso again!
Cons: Poorly represented on website.. we paid for a large space that we really didn’t need!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location in town was close to most everything. The breakfast was a traditional European breakfast with sliced meat, crescents, fresh fruit and cereal.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Centrally located in old town. Double glazing kept out street noise.

Pros: We stayed here for our honeymoon, and we were not disappointed! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! It was convenient to be able to buy a day pass for the train in the hotel, as well. To top it all off the breakfast was really good with freshly cooked eggs as an option. We absolutely loved our stay here and would stay again!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location, service and breakfast were terrific
Cons: It was a little expensive for a one night stay

Pros: The property is great! It is very clean, has a great location, the breakfast exceeded our expectations, and the owners are very nice people who are very kind and helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful Hosts at Locanda Il Maestrale - Giovanni & Stefania were friendly and responsive. Loved staying in ‘Old Town’! Easy 10 minute walk from the train station. Perfect location for exploring Cinque Terre & the Riviera Towns. Close to the beaches - 5 min walk. (Hosts provided a beach bag with beach towels). Lots of restaurants and shops right outside your door. Stayed in the Manarola room. Very clean with comfortable king size bed. Great shower with lots of hot water and excellent water pressure. Fridge stocked with water - no charge (tap water is drinkable in Italy but nice to have the bottles for day trips). Juice/beer also stocked in fridge with prices as per menu. Daily maid service included clean towels as needed. (Thanks Connie)! Fabulous rooftop terrace where we had breakfast every morning (with fresh squeezed orange juice)! Stefania & Giovanni also put out complimentary daily afternoon fruit, snacks & coffee/tea. We had access to the roof top terrace at any time and enjoyed our evenings up there with a bottle of wine. Giovanni helped us get the Cinque Terre train & trekking pass ($16 euro per person for one day) for unlimited train rides & trekking. The cars also gets you free access to the toilets at the train stations. We did the hike from Monterosso Al Mar to Vernazza. Spectacular views during this 1 hr 15 min walk. We did this on a Saturday, it was busy on the trails and insanely busy on the trains. Recommend getting an early start to avoid the crush of tourists. Loved visiting all the towns of Cinque Terre. Corniglia is up higher from the ocean. The weather was very hot so we took the free shuttle immediately after you get off the train (or alternatively you can take the steep 25 minute walk up to the town). We did a beautiful late afternoon sunset hike to the top of the hill in Monterosso and saw the church of San Francesco. Castle ruins and a cemetery. The views were incredible.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic place to stay right in the heart of Monterosso. Family run and excellent hospitality and overall very highly recommended
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is family owned but don’t let that bother you, cause wow they really know how to look after guests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about our stay! We were greeted warmly by Stefania at check-in. We stayed in a suite with the loft & enjoyed having a comfortable sitting area. Everything was super clean, the bed was comfortable, we loved the pillows, the bathroom was modern & sparkling. We enjoyed breakfast & also snacks available later in the day. Giovanni was a wonderful host each morning at breakfast (tasty cappuccino) and the terrace is a beautiful place to begin the morning, as well as to relax after a day of hiking. Giovanni gave us great advice about hiking the Cinque Terre and helped us get our tickets for the park. The location is perfect & we will definitely stay here again when we return to this area!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff.
Cons: Price
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfecto! Gorgeous rooms, romantic setting and feeling (and we're 65!) Would go back in a heartbeat!
Albergo Al Carugio - Monterosso al Mare - Bedroom
5
9.3 Excellent (285 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Albergo Al Carugio in Monterosso al Mare (Borgo Antico), you'll be a 4-minute walk from Monterosso Beach and 5 minutes by foot from Cinque Terre Marine Protected Area.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great hospitality by Andrea and the best local tips!!! He made our stay extra special! Good location in main street but away from the big crowds (which we liked) Nice bed, good shower and clean room.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: There really aren't any facilities and for the price, breakfast should be included but this is Italy and it does not often work that way. That said, the location was okay depending on if being a bit away from the train station is okay with you. The room size acceptable, the staff quite good and Monterosso quite nice.
Cons: Everything was expected although if you have a heavy suitcase it is a long walk from the station.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely place to stay with Andrea a wonderful host. He helped make our stay for 2 days a memorable experience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. Close to dining and other recreation areas. Andrea is an excellent host. He went way out of his way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Albergo was fantastic- location was a bit a way from the main drag (so noise wasn't an issue) the room was exceptionally clean and well-maintained and the owner, Andrea, is so helpful, friendly and genuinely interested in us as visitors, and a font of very useful information (especially regarding hiking from town to town). We would recommend the Albergo to stay
Cons: The only downside for the two of us was that the room was on the small side for us. (room 6). we did peek at the other rooms and those were larger than the one we stayed in. This isn't a "dislike" but there are a set a stairs to get to the hotel and while Andrea carried our baggage, the steps may be a physical challenge for some.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host, Andrea, was great and gave really helpful tips for around Monterosso. It is in a great location in Monterosso, very close to restaurants and the beach. Room is good too, nothing fancy but exactly what we expected based on the photos.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Andrea was very helpful with everything with all the inormation and places to eat and see
Cons: Nothing to dislike
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Andrea was a FANTASTIC host and was so helpful...it's not on the beach, but the walk wasn't too far and the location is quiet and not even a minute from the restaurants and shops. I don't usually spend time to write reviews, but my fiance and I were so impressed with Andrea that we really wanted to make sure to recommend Albergo Al Carugio to anyone needing a place to stay in Cinque Terre. I'm so glad we found this place and would definitely stay again!
Cons: Bathroom was a tad small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I had a wonderful stay at albergo al curugio! Andrea was amazing, he was so lovely and informative about everything from where to eat, getting to the other villages and just everything! The room had everything you need for a comfortable stay! Would definitely recommend to anyone who’s thinking of staying in Monterosso!
B&B Le Giare - Monterosso al Mare - Bedroom
6
9.3 Excellent (228 reviews)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff ( family )
9.0 Excellent
Pros: It is a lovely place in the quiet area away from the crowds and tourists. It has its own parking place which is very important when you travel to Cinque Terra by car. Upon arrival we were given a lot of information about the area and what to do there and where to find different places. We were also given a choice of 2 rooms, which was very nice. The room which we selected was fairly big and nicely decorated. The breakfast room was rather small but cheerful and very nicely set up with colorful china. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of food items, cold cuts, cheese, fresh fruit, delicious fruit salad, yogurts, juices and amazing croissants. We were provide beach towels when we wanted to go swimming. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There was a lovely patio in front of our building with comfortable outdoor furniture where you could rest and relax among lemon trees. As we were leaving we were given a small bottle of limoncello as a gift, which was a very kind and thoughtful gesture.
Cons: It’s a minor thing but personally I didn’t care for the toiletries provided. They were good and most likely in the eco friendly packaging but it was very hard for me to open those packets of shampoo and shower gel. Luckily I had scissors ✂️ with me which I started to use to cut the packets open. I had no problems with the bars of soap provided.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is amazing. You're surrounded by lemon and olive trees. Fredericka is so lovely and gave us a bottle of home made limoncello. The room was gorgeous with a balcony overlooking the vineyards and mountains. Everything was so clean and the mini bar is free. Breakfast was good. waking up here wad the perfect start to each day! Loved it
Cons: It is a tough slog to get up that mountain. You need to be semi fit.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Can’t recommend Le Giare highly enough. Immaculate, well presented room, in a beautiful location nestled in the hill above Monterosso’s new town. The staff were friendly, and happy to answer questions about the Cinque Terre and recommend good places to eat. They also offered a taxi service to/from the station, which I didn’t need actually, because it’s only a 10-15 minute walk from the train station (though it is quite hilly!)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming. Great location
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice breakfast. Cute patio.
Cons: Shower room very dated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about this place! Amazing location, clean and great hospitality!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Highly recommended! It was a spectacular stay and we felt so welcome from the very beginning. The room is very spacious and has all the necessities. The location was excellent, just a short walk to the train station and town centre (although up a few flights of stairs) but far away to be quiet and peaceful. We drove so it couldn't have been more convenient!
Cons: Nothing at all :D
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room and bathroom were large and comfortable. Just outside the room was a patio with an amazing view among lemon trees. A few steps away was where breakfast was served. The breakfast was delicious with cappuccino made to order. It was about a 15 minute walk to the town. At checkout, we received a small bottle of their homemade limoncello.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: perfect staff quite place parking
Cons: that I cannot stay there loger

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sabrina, Francesca and Fanny were perfect hosts. Location a bit out of town but free shuttle makes it easy. Walk to town is downhill and 10 minutes at most. Incredible views and easy access to trail to Vernazza. Breakfast was substantial and excellent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view, the staff and the breakfasts! Something different every day
Cons: It would have been ni e to be in walking distance of the restaurants but the view and the room were worth it!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about our stay at La Serra Sul Mare was first rate and SO amazing. Great location. Free taxi service. Wonderful staff. Best breakfasts ever. Beautiful room and balcony. Great outside area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view was spectacular and the staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating! Sabrina and Francesca went out of their way to prepare the most delicious breakfast I have ever eaten anywhere in the world… And always with a smile on their face and ready to help us plan our next day. The shuttle service into town was perfect.
Cons: I would suggest going to Cinque Terra the very end of September or the beginning of October to avoid the crowds. I knew it would be crowded but I had no idea that you could barely walk the streets. The hiking was fantastic and the warmer months are certainly better for swimming.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view was beautiful! They treat u like family. Wish we could have stayed longer!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love the quiet scenic location. The rooms are like a boutique. The breakfast is delicious and warm hospitality. We also appreciated the shuttle service around town.
Cons: Nothing! I came again because I loved this place so much. Sabrina and Claudio were both wonderful. I plan to return and stay longer next time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the owners and staff outdid them selfs to make you feel comfortable if you ad question there was always someone there to help recommendations on what to see is worthy of an expert tour guide the free chattel service was priceless and don't know what else to say but to me its the only place I would ever consider to stay
Cons: there was nothing not to like the laundry came back clean and fresh ad a very reasonable cost
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The view, the breakfast, the staff, all great
Cons: Leaving it
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superior location above Monterosso la Mare. Views are fabulous, access to Trail #2, at a point above the 700 stairs from Monterosso. Funny, Francesco & Sabrina were terrific. Breakfast quality was fantastic, and way too much! The shuttle service is a plus. The daily schedule takes you to the Piazza Geribaldi, ( old town). Only with arrival & departure, will they take you the additional 3/4 mile to the Train Station. (New, crowded strata). All in all, we think this was the best, quiet location in Monterosso!!
Cons: Nothing, this a perfect vacation, weather & location!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Spectacular view high above the town of Monterosso. Only four rooms. No crowds. Sit on a shaded veranda and sip wine and watch boats go in and out of the port. Easy access to the hiking trail to Vernazza. Breakfast is a special treat every day. I could go in and on .....
Cons: There is free shuttle to the town but the schedule (like all Italian schedules) is sketchy. It's a half hour walk uphill if you miss the shuttle.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The magnificent view The friendly staff The best included breakfast ever Free taxi too and from town Free parking next to the villa
Cons: Leaving after only two nights
7.6 Good
Pros: Super breakfast. Terrific view. Great staff
Cons: A bit far from town, but free taxi service is provided.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is charming, beautifully decorated, and the rooms have a terrific view of the ocean. The bathroom was modern and the bed was firm but not hard. The terrace off our room was perfect for having a glass of wine while enjoying the view. The breakfast is absolutely awesome!! A free taxi service was available to take us to town/pick us up and we never had to wait more than a few minutes. (You could also walk but it's steep.) The staff was very helpful and friendly, and spoke English. If we have the opportunity to visit Cinque Terre again we'll definitely stay at La Serra Sul Mare!
7.3 Good
Pros: La Serra Sul Mare is a great B&B just outside of Monterossa... the owner and her daughter have decorated beautifully, cook a great breakfast, and greet you in your room with coffee, tea, and small pastries. What a treat. Don't let the fact that it is just outside of town be a drawback.. the walk to town is short, and if you don't wish to walk, they provide complimentary taxi service. Stay here, you won't be disappointed.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners were great and so was the breakfast! They were very helpful all during our stay.
7.3 Good
Pros: The hotel staff was extremely helpful and nice. The breakfast was incredible with many homemade, delicious dishes. The location was great for hiking the Cinque Terre and the free taxi service into Monterosso was a wonderful perk.
Cons: We had a few heavy bags and they had to be carried up the many steps. However, the Signora actually helped us carry them......amazing!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: From the moment you call at the gate your are treated as a special guest. The view of the mediterrean is spectacular, rooms are beautifully appointed and the breakfast remarkable.

Cons: There is no parking in Cinque terre but the hotel could have provide transter from parking lot. There was luggage transfer but were not notified of it even when we called to hotel in advance.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was really beautiful on rooftop garden loved it however when it rains it’s downstairs in hotel lobby area it wasn’t such a good experience..
Cons: I didn’t really like the bed as they were memory foam & I kept rolling into the middle of the bed they did put a topper on but still not wonderful..the bathroom is sort of an add on to the room & it’s open to the bedroom so smells & steam are coming into the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing room and location
Cons: Shower was terrible but that’s expected in these locations
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I always love going back to this hotel. It's adorable and comfortable with very friendly service. Their lemon garden is my favorite and their breakfasts can't be beat.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff were super helpful. The hotel was well located close to the beach, town and restaurants. Hotel breakfast was tasty.
Cons: Bathroom was very very small, it was tight even for a very small girl so it could be too small for other guests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room had character in line with old town. Buffet breakfast in lemon garden outstanding. Good selections. . Location great. Staff lovely and very helpful. Laundry available at cost. Provided baggage cart to train station. Should have asked for this service on arrival.
Cons: Info on baggage service from train station before arrival.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Walking distance from the train station and the breakfast was unbelievable.
Cons: Earlier breakfast time for people leaving to catch a train.
6.3 Good
Pros: The staff at hotel Marina were very welcoming and helpful. We arrived early and they arranged for us to check in before the set time. On check out they gave us a snack, small gift and even offered us to use the shower later in the day after walking.
Cons: We were just disappointed that some of the facilities were not in good condition. The towels and linen were washed but damp and not very fresh. Also the electric sockets didn’t work so we couldn’t use the fridge and had to take the kettle to the bathroom. There was a lot of choice at breakfast and again the staff were lovely but quality of the products was poor for the money that we paid. We paid 145 pounds for one night and understand that it was peak season but feel that this was expensive for the quality of what we received.

Pros: Annie and Cherry were incredibly welcoming and made sure everything was ready for our arrival, including an extra bed for a third person being made up. The breakfast provided was simple but delicious. Freshly cooked eggs and espresso being available made it particularly great. The room was cozy but well-equipped. The bathroom was clean and modern, with fresh towels and linen on our arrival. Annie and Cherry were quick to reply to messages, and happy to help if we had any concerns (which we didn't!). Accommodation in Monterosso is not cheap, but we would happily stay here again!!

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The service for this place was outstanding! Upon arriving, they gave our group of 4 welcome drinks (along with an extra bottle to take back to the room), and let us sample some incredible pesto. They recommended places to eat for dinner, and overall we really enjoyed their hospitality. The breakfast was great as well, included fruit and yogourt, which most places do not. Our room for 4 could have slept an additional person plus had a baby cot included.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Cherry was amazing. She accommodated to all of our needs. We were 4 girls backpacking Italy on a budget, but our stay felt like a real treat! The room was amazing, and the included breakfast was probably the best we've ever had. I will recommend this to anyone and everyone who tells me they're traveling to Cinque Terre!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful stay here - a girls trip from London for the weekend to walk the Cinque Terre. Our hostess Cherry was brilliant - made our trip!!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a great place and is rented by a wonderful couple that are very helpful.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners are wonderful, very accommodating. We had booked a four person room and showed up w/ 5 and didn't get charged any more. When I asked where to buy tea, she took me to a shop and bought it for me to place in the room. Best breakfast w/ meat, cheese, bread, jam, coffee, and pastries. Cute room, spaciously comfortable, t.v., loved the shower head, tea kettle in room and table!

9.0 Excellent (338 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Affittacamere Sull'Arco in Monterosso al Mare (Borgo Antico), you'll be steps from Monterosso Beach and 2 minutes by foot from Cinque Terre Marine Protected Area.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location was great, bakery downstairs was good for breakfast, right in the middle of the old town area of monterosso with many charming shops and places to eat.
Cons: Small rooms, beds were firm, but still I would stay again.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Only a 5 minute walk from the train station (mostly flat). Very nice and welcoming staff. They left snacks, water and some breakfast items for everyone. That was a nice touch. Coffee and tea in the room was nice too. Good sized room and very clean. You need to pay the city tax in cash, so may sure you have some. I think it was 2 or 4 euros per night for 2 people, so not much.
Cons: Very steep stairs to get up to the room/check in which could be difficult for those with a lot of luggage or health issues. The hostess is lovely, but doesn't speak any English so there could be some difficulties in communicating. We didn't have any issues so that shouldn't be a concern.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location was in the old town.
Cons: The room was very small with just a bed and one basic wooden chair. There was no option to sit outside to relax. The rooms from the opposite building looked into the room and so had to keep the shutters closed for privacy which was quite clostrophobic. The tea making facilities and service desk were in close proximity it was very compact. Not a good experience.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good communication with host. Lovely extra touch providing free snacks. Room was ready really early for us so we could leave our stuff in the morning before going off walking
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The ladies and their mom were gorgeous people and made us so at home.

Pros: Great location. Very clean.
Cons: It is on a charming street, but difficult to find. A staff person standing at the door looking for us. Caution: you need to go up a stairway.

Pros: Nice outdoor deck.
Cons: Difficult walk up long walkway and steps with heavy bags.

Pros: Clean room, decent breakfast and I enjoyed the location just slightly out of the hustle of daily visitors to the Cinque Terre but only a few minutes walk away.
Cons: Driveway was difficult to get a suitcase up, not a huge deal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is in a very quiet location on the edge of new town but just a few minutes walk to the beach. I booked a single attic room and the ac worked great. The mini fridge & microwave was a plus. Breakfast was plentiful with fresh scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, yogurt, fresh fruit & homemade pastries & breads each morning. The staff were all very nice & helpful. Hotel Villa Adriana was a great home base to be able to enjoy the Cinque Terra & have a pleasant retreat to return to each evening.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good staff, good breakfast selection, well organized and frequent shuttle service to beach area
Cons: nothing. we were satisfied with everything and will recommend the hotel to our friends
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great with lots of selections. The view down to the beach of Monterosso is just spectacular! We took advantage of the many options of sitting to enjoy the view and have a glass of wine (purchased on site) while watching the sunset. You can see the lights of the 5 cities making up the Cinque Terre from this location.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very clean and free regular shuttle into the village.
Cons: Two single beds pushed together for double
7.1 Good
Pros: Beautiful property with amazing views of Monterosso.
Cons: Too far from town. Have to wait for the free shuttle otherwise the next one is after an hour.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loved the balcony sea view we had, was just amazing. We were prepared for the 800m hike up and down the hill to town which we loved as we like to walk, but used the shuttle which was available once an hour when we couldn’t walk up another hill, very convenient. All the trails were close by and this was definitely the best town to be staying near. Great beach, shopping and restaurants etc.
Cons: We only rated the facilities down slightly because the tap on the sink got stuck and when you turned it on sometimes came on way too fast and splashed all over you - also used the plug once and it would open to let the water out, but all small things. The only time the hill was annoying was our last day when it rained so all the restaurants/cafes were full and the transport had just left so had to traipse up the hill in pouring rain in our little ponchos... small price to pay for all the other good things though!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: very nice view from the room to look out the sea and the city
Cons: none
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is perfect. Spectacular view, quiet, hotel shuttle to ferry you up & down from the hotel with a reasonably generous timetable.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Large room and balcony
Cons: Shower was very small
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very clean comfortable and fairly spacious. Grounds were beautiful & the view was stunning. We were initially concerned about the timeliness of the shuttle service up and down to the town but our fears are groundless. They were always right on time. Great breakfast buffet!!
Cons: It’s a two edged sword because you have the fabulous view and quiet up high but that sane distance requires the hourly shuttle which can be a bit constraining. As long as plan did it not a problem. Drivers were great about turning right around and picking up the passengers who didn’t fit in the initial run.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Maybe, they could have eggs, scrambled/Omlette/fried on breakfast menu.
Cons: Not really much they can do but the shuttle taxi can be a tad annoying. You can be first/second in queue then other pushy people simply barge their way past you to be seated. We had to wait for another shuttle because of rude tourists.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel met my expectations from previous reviews I had read before booking. Location is very convenient, approx 100 metres from main square, close to eateries but in a quiet area. The breakfasts were good with a lot of home cooked cakes, jams etc. The coffee lady provided much entertainment by the designs she created on the cappuccinos. The reception staff were very helpful. Had a nice balcony. Would recommend.
Cons: The bed in our room was a bit too hard for my liking, but was ok.
9.6 Excellent

8.0 Excellent
Pros: My first thoughts were ‘I didn’t book/want an annex room’ and having to take first our bags to a 2nd building then a 3rd area to park was a pain but the room was fantastic (better than the pictures) spacious & comfy. It was a two minute walk down the street to breakfast. I loved that we could have a coffee and fresh pastry in our building first then go for breakfast a little later. Breakfast was very typical Italian, I prefer a more savoury selection but not a big deal. Location was perfect for us.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fantantic-especially loved the lemon cake. Location was good and easy to get to with large suitcases as a flat walk from the train station. Best beach in the area-nice for a swim
Cons: A second luggage rack would be handy for large suitcases although there was plenty of room on the floor and a wardrobe
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great and the staff, particularly the lovely manager went out of her way to make our family welcome and comfortable. The location was perfect, far enough away from the noise and close to the beach and the restaurants along the foreshore.
Cons: Everything was great, the bathroom in our accommodation up on the hill could benefit from a little more light. The double bed room my son and partner were in was close to the street and the front door which slammed shut, often, it could benefit from a soft closing mechanism and better block out curtains from the lights in the street.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, excellent location and very clean! I was only there for one night but wish I could've stayed longer. Accommodated a 5 hour early check in.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was clean and comfortable. We arranged for parking, it was available and in a garage. Jonida at the front desk was absolutely wonderful...kind, helpful, pleasant. The hotel was very nice and itwas well located in Monterosso.
Cons: Nothing about the hotel, but be aware the streets of Monterosso are very narrow and crowded with pedestrians...driving is difficult.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are impeccably clean and stylish, easy walk to the town, very helpful staff and amazing breakfast. There are umbrellas to borrow. We had the best time. Highly recommend
Cons: Nothing
7.0 Good
Pros: Loved the breakfast and our room was very cute.
Cons: Our room was not in the same building as reception/breakfast. We were a 5-10 minute walk from the main hotel, up a hill & 53 steps! Just not what we expected.

Pros: Location, friendliness, nothing was to much trouble. Was very welcoming and comfortable. Would definitely recommend to friends.
Cons: Liked all
7.5 Good
Pros: Comfort bedroom
Cons: Room is too small.

The location was spot on, close to everything and as soon as we arrived we tried to extend our stay. Breakfast was amazing: quality food and service, plus very generous. We will definitely come here again, but it was mainly the people who run this hotel that make it so special. This hotel is a gem in Cinque Terra. Pros: Location was a pleasant walk from the train station through the tunnel and up the hill. Definitely recommend booking the terrace room. The terrace was huge with lounge chairs, large umbrella and beautiful view. Hotel was clean and staff was always present, very pleasant and helpful. There is a small bar in the lobby. Buffet breakfast was included, with many food options; even eggs and omelets cooked to order.
