Pros: You can walk to the downtown area in about 10 minutes thru a nice neighborhood. The rooms are nice and large, and they do provide a fan should it be hot. Beds very comfy. Quiet location. They have a pool/spa area with sauna, odd jacuzzi that was a bit cool.

Pros: We stayed in a family room at the Kingsmill for 1 night in July with our 4-year old and mother-in-law. It was the perfect size with a large bed and 2 bunk beds. Bathroom also had a shower and bathtub, great for the little ones.

Pros: Our first visit to Inverness. As a result of Storm Ciara we were delayed over one night. Kingsmill was a refuge, particularly all of the staff, plus the upgrade (offered and not booked) made it a wonderful experience. We walked in to the city centre and saw the city and river in full flood. Could not have been better.

Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we were given a free upgrade Pam, the receptionist was extremely helpful when we arrived. We arrived about 2 hours before check-in time, however Pam checked a few rooms herself and allowed us get into our room early. The room was a demi suite, well presented, and clean. Breakfasts were also excellent, with a great choice, and service was quick and staff friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely go back

Pros: Have stayed quite a few times now and it's our go to when in the area. Silly thing that make a difference but bins in the car park, especially numerous dog poo bins are so helpful as we travel with dogs. Great food, love the piano man. Excellent.

Cons: I’m not a fan of old British decor, which you get in spades here, but I can put up with floral carpets, heavy furniture, etc. It’s all part of the UK. The actual facilities are quite well-maintained, parking is good, overall I would recommend and stay here again.

Cooked Breakfast greasy Ordered gin was served in tumbler asked for a gin glass was told they were like gold dust but managed to produce one but didn’t look very clean I cleaned rim area with tissue Great hotel but food let it down for us !!!

Cons: Room 123 is very comfortable but the lighting is dreadful. Three table lamps on a gloomy day just isn't enough. Please could there be decent proper lighting especially at the dressing table? Disappointed that single use plastic preserves are used at breakfast instead of glass jars. Not at all classy or environmentally friendly.

Cons: We occupied room 11 which is quite a trek for two 70 year olds with luggage. A member of staff asked if we needed help with our luggage but we declined his offer being unaware of the location of the room i.e., up stairs, along a passage up more stairs, then down stairs, more passageways. The longest distance I have every travelled to a hotel room. The room was ok but the shower was unacceptable - only a trickle of water which was difficult to set to a reasonable temperature.

The breakfast was well presented with many options for both continental and cooked. The man that served us breakfast was very friendly and efficient. Pros: I loved everything! The bedroom was clean and organized. It also had a good size. We had a kettle and tea available. The bathroom was big and clean, the shower space was big as well and the shower was easy to control. We had soap available. Towels were very big! Staff was suuuuper nice, and there was a free parking space. Check in was super easy and check out was even easier. Absolutely loved staying here.

Cons: The location was awful. There's a "gentleman's club" three doors down and in the evening the hotel bar was full of creepy men waiting for the club to open. The bar plays club music at night and you could hear and feel it in our first floor room. There were drunk people outside in the early morning yelling and screaming and could be heard at all hours. The room was sparse with a worn out single couch and bedding that was flat with no cushion. The bed was low and kind of annoying to get in and out of. There were broken parts of the tempered glass bathroom walls and the shower was leaky so the water pressure was low. There was no carpet in the room but the carpet in the hall and stairway smelled awful like smoke and who knows what else. The lounge downstairs looked like a strip club atmosphere, too, and the drinks were way over priced. Breakfast was expensive, too so we just walked down the street to get a good breakfast at Rendezvous Cafe for a fraction of what the hotel was charging. This was our last leg in our trip and we were too tired to try and get a room somewhere else, abs since we didn't spend much time in the room anyway we just stayed. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Pros: I stayed at room 129 ground floor twin sharing. The room was ensuite. It was spacious and very nice. The heaters were enough for the room and we had hot water always. The toilet Amenities were good and the coffee and tea came with water (still and sparkling), candies, cookie and chocolate drink. Very generous. The hotel is right next to the train station which was very convenient. It is so close to the shopping street also. The East shopping mall is right next to the hotel also.

Pros: Staff were super friendly. Rooms were clean and tidy and the refreshments tray was a nice touch. Staff went the extra mile to help us when our train was cancelled due to the bad weather. They managed to book us an extra night at a favourable rate, which was really appreciated given our predicament in not being able to get back to London. Location was prefect cocktails were great. Happily recommend it to anyone travelling to Inverness.

Pros: The staff -- front desk/manager -- was very helpful. Our room was uncomfortably hot, and although she was unable to move us the first night as there were no available rooms, she provided us with a fan and ice to help cool the room and a sheet to use rather than the duvet. The second night, she was able to move us to a much larger room on second floor which was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good with a good variety of choices. Since we traveled by train, the location of the hotel was very convenient.

Cons: Reception staff treat you like an inconvenience, stale scones with cream tea, bath panel in room was coming away, decor of hotel really needs to be updated, dangerous loose carpet on stairs, tepid breakfast. Staff in Ash are not helpful and why have 2 bars when they will only serve you at one of them.

Cons: No really a complaint as i guess its an old building but the wifi signal frequently dropped out in the room. Its not bad by any means when connected though. Perhaps a few more boosters may help.

Cons: We were in Inverness during a heat wave. The first night (of two nights) we were in a small room on the top floor. Since there was no air conditioning and no breeze, it was uncomfortably hot, preventing us from sleeping. Some of the furniture and the carpet in the larger room we stayed in the second night was a bit worn and could use a bit of updating

Pros: Great location.
Cons: I was on the first floor and the noise from traffic outside on the main road was terrible, with the windows constantly shaking loudly. The windows aren't double-glazed and even passing drunks shouting and swearing sounded like they were in my room. Walls between rooms are also paper thin and the room shook every time the guest next door closed their room door. To be fair, my colleague was on the top floor and had a totally different experience, but unfortunately I won't be staying there again.

Cons: The room although clean was in a poor state of repair. All small things which would be quick and cheap to fix. Cracked joining coving to ceiling, cracked window pain, badly peeling window, cracked bathroom floor tile, peeling wallpaper chipped enamel on bath. When I complained to reception I was told to fill out the card in my room (there was none). I was offered an upgrade which I would have to pay extra for. The restaurant was unorganised. The food was nothing to speak of. My spritz was more soda than procecco. As a 19th century property I was happy to see the period features however the modern art and additions in keeping with the character of the hotel and looked out of place.

Pros: I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights,When i arrived i booked in(earlier than expected as room was ready).I was given complimentey upgrade to the new Privilege Room! Wow such a lovely room.Would definitely recommend this room for couples.Also the young gentelman at the reception gave me an ice bucket and 2 chanpagne glasses for free to take to my room.Staff very nice.Great weekend for all.

Cons: It seems it's run remotely, I didn't see anyone who was running it & all doors have code locks to avoid physical keys which are hard to exchange of there aren't any staff about. It smells really strongly of damp. The mattress was such poor quality I could feel every spring, there was no mattress protector & the duvet cover was ripped. The bathroom: disgusting. Something looking suspiciously like poo smeared on the wall, and the shower was revoltingly dirty especially in the corners. Breakfast was cereal in a room that looked like a store /junk room. Would warn against staying here. I came to inverness to deal with an emergency & in the summer every B&B I tried was fully booked, except the Highlander/City B&B. For good reason. Avoid avoid avoid.

Cons: Breakfast is not really B&B worthy, its a very basic Continental one. And you have to eat in shifts, which are allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis.
The WiFi didn't work in our room, had to go out to the Hallway to connect.
