Cons: They are affiliated with a very nice gym next door. I would have preferred that admission to the gym be included in the price of the room. Instead, there was a nominal fee.

Pros: Stayed there for two nights. The room was very comfortable and quiet (facing an inner terrace). Even though the room was small (which was exactly as advertised), it has been recently renovated and includes lots of functionality (they've done a great job with the design of the space). The bathroom was big, very clean, and comfortable. Great free breakfast. Very professional and genuinely helpful staff. Overall, I would definitely recommend it.

Cons: The pictures of the rooms are not what you get. The hotel blamed it on Bookings.com. They would not give us the room promised unless we paid an additional 200SEK. The superior rooms are the size of a closet. Also most rooms have windows that do not open or open onto interior space. Not good with no Air-conditioning.

We travelled with a baby and at no point on the booking.com website or hotel website were we told that as it was midsummer the hotel facilities would be curtailed. Tv is placed on the wall, 50 cm from your face so if u sit at the table or on the small sofa it is impossible to watch it! You have to stay in the bed! The main corridors at the hotel are quite dirty and look like nobody cleand them since years.....so for a hotel of 4 stars and with such price such be very importat!!! What surprised me directly from the entrance that reception = bar...! It is definately not a hotel to stay for a business!

Pros: My friend and I spent a weekend at Gothenburg for sightseeing purposes. We shared a twin room at the Clarion and was very impressed by the room as well as the hospitality offerred by the hotel. Pros: My friend and I spent a weekend at Gothenburg for sightseeing purposes. We shared a twin room at the Clarion and was very impressed by the room as well as the hospitality offerred by the hotel. Room was big and clean (it has a small lounge and a kitchen) and the breakfast was great. The hotel also serves coffee/tea and cakes during the afternoon without additional charges.

Cons: There was no rpivacy for the guests, as the lobby-bar-restaurant of the hotel was a bar-rstaurant open to the public in general and always very busy and noisy. The bar staff was badly trained and not frindly at all. In spite of staff at the reception desk being very friendly, we complained about our room frigo-bar not bein working and the temperature of the room (which we could not set at all!) was too cold, nothing happened until the end of our 6 nigth staying! We both came home with a big cold! Rooms were too small for a 4* hotel.

Cons: All the city is renovating and the hotel is just in the middle of all that. That makes the hotel a little hard to get to, trafic wise.
The hotel doesn't have a parking of it's own, they point you to a parking garage over the street. We managed to park on the out side parking next to the terminal, which was a little more closser.
The room was smelling bad. You can't open the windows to let it refresh.
The bathroom was very small and the water from the shower is not draining well.

We payd a lot for one night and yet reseived rooms that were not renovated (old, very samll rooms at the loft of the building, you couldn't even lock the rooms inside!!) However, what i did not like most is my stay is that i was asked by the reception why i have such a big luggage when i was only staying for one night. I took offense in that coz Göteborg was the first leg of my five city trip around Western and Southern Sweden to promote the company i worked in.

We received very vague instructions from the central station staff on the location of the tram stop (they couldn't even tell us it was situated along Ostra Hamingatan) which is not very near the central station. It took us quite some time to locate the tram stop where we took tram no. 6 which takes us directly to the hotel (stop at Scandinavium).
