Fukuoka hotels near Tenjin Core

Pros: I have stayed in other Okura hotels in Japan and they are always good and this hotel was no exception. I only had a brief stay so didn't use the restaurant or any facilities but the room was very comfortable.

Pros: Location was great. Parking was very convenient.

Cons: The hotel room was booked for whole family, and stated breakfast is included as evident in photo, but hotel insists to charge extra for my 5 year old breakfast, saying it’s not free and kid breakfast not included?!

Pros: The staff were consistently helpful and attentive.

Cons: The room could use a do over. Everything was old and slightly worn. Worst of all, it was cluttered: it was as if the hotel was so busy trying to provide for every contingency, filling every empty space with something that might be useful to someone, sometime, that they forgot to leave room for the guests’ own belongings. Literally, I had a square foot of space on the 8 foot sink counter for my toiletries,etc. The bathroom was very old fashioned and reminded me of those I came across in Japan 15 years ago. A common complaint in earlier reviews I’d read on several sites, which the management continues to ignore, is that breakfast is served cold. Not room temperature: ice cold. Eggs Benedict should not be cold, nor should the Hollandaise be gelid. The Western buffet selections were severely limited, so unless you’re an adventurous eater, and don’t mind fish and soup for breakfast, you might best look for some place in the area to have breakfast.

Pros: They got an indoor swimming pool with well equipped gym.

Cons: Few staffs spoke English. Gave me wrong info at the reception for my breakfast. Later inform me by info slip for my breakfast which is about 30 min before the close.

Pros: Excellent location. As usual, professional and polite front desk service.

Cons: Coffee of buffet breakfast was rather poor

Pros: Very attentive and polite staff. Relatively spacious room and comfortable beds. Healthyand fresh breakfast buffet.

Cons: Nothing but occasional railroads noise

Cons: No Onsen.

Pros: Air purifier in room helps in the air circulation and air conditioning control in room is great. Clean room and wonderful amenities. Location is superb for shopping.

Cons: Nothing, except maybe shower's water pressure not strong enough (personal preference).

Pros: Good value - located right opposite Avis / Budget Rent a Car and right next to Tenjin Station. Depending on what undergound line you take, can take a bit of time but location is excellent. Starbucks next doors, lots of restaurants around, walkable distance to Hakata. Room was adequate, as expected. Bed bigger than expected and hotel provided two pillows (really liked the firm one), shower was very very good and staff were polite. Family mart, Lawson, 711 all within walking distance - very convenient.

Cons: Only two lifts providing access to the entire hotel - waiting time wasn't a big issue, but had to wait a lift or two every now and again due to other hotel stayers. Bathroom is small, which is alright, but a lot of toiletries provided and therefore not much space to put own stuff! And check out is for 11:00 - can be extended to 14:00 but a charge of 1,000 yen per hour. Space Charging for late check out
