Pros: very good location, just beside the pathway going to historical Oura Church and shops for some Nagasaki food/souvenirs. The rooms are spacious and have good facilities. Highly recommended. But I suggest to have brrakfast outside, their buffet breakfast is not practical for the price.

Cons: I had been staying at a luxury double bed room over 5 times and it was to my surprise that the room I booked is such a tiny room eventhough I had added Yen2600 to exchange to a bigger room. At the end I have to pay extra Yen8000 to upgrade to the room type I stayed before which is something I did not expect. I once paid HK$780 (approx) for the luxury double bed but for the current stay, I paid double!

Pros: It was value for money, close to the airport, easily accessed and has a Family Mart beside it at the Ground Floor. For the price, it's really competitive compared to other hotels in the area with the same size. Part of the reason why we want to come back to Fukuoka is because of this hotel. Hotel is close to nearby yummy restaurants too. I also like that it's in a quiet neighborhood. Hotel is near Exit 3 of Hakata Gion Station, like a 3 to 5 minute leisure walk.

Pros: The room is bigger than usual hotel in japan, even got a door between bedroom and mini bar. Also, there is Shared hot spring and sauna, you can watch TV when you are enjoying the hot spring. After the bath, remember to try the milk from renting machine, it is really refreshing. breakfast is great, they are serving different food with mentaiko. the Canal City is just next to the hotel, so you can go for the shopping without carrying all the bags, just put it back to the hotel and go for another round .

Cons: Only two lifts providing access to the entire hotel - waiting time wasn't a big issue, but had to wait a lift or two every now and again due to other hotel stayers. Bathroom is small, which is alright, but a lot of toiletries provided and therefore not much space to put own stuff! And check out is for 11:00 - can be extended to 14:00 but a charge of 1,000 yen per hour. Space Charging for late check out

If you have few luggages , I suggest that you should come by bus from airport and stop at Hakata chikushi entrance station rather than using subway as there are few flights of staircase to reach the ground. Pros: It’s just 5 min walk from the Hakata station. If you have few luggages , I suggest that you should come by bus from airport and stop at Hakata chikushi entrance station rather than using subway as there are few flights of staircase to reach the ground. The public bath is very clean and comfortable. Free light breakfast is available. Free coffee and chocolate are provided throughout the stay.
Cons: The room is a bit small for two people with two big luggages.

They have a coffee machine at the lobby for their guests! They also let us put our luggage for free before check in time. And 7 eleven is just right opposite ! There’s a bus stop just 4 mins away and a airport bus that goes straight to airport. So convenient

Cons: I have stayed at Nishitetsu Grand 4-5 times whenever I visit Fukuoka. On this travel there were 3 of us so I booked a triple room with 3 beds as listed on Bkg.com. However, as soon as I walked in the room it was just a regular room with 3 beds.. There was no room to move around and no space to unpack my luggage. It was just a room filled with beds. I had to run down to the front desk to switch to a more spacious room and luckily there was only 1 room available which was 50% more space. Of course I had pay around 40% more for the upgrade but my family was finally happy.. I always travel with the help of bkg.com to reserve a hotel but this time it could have ruined my family trip. You have to be careful when you list rooms for the customers not to get confused with the size of the room.. When we look for the triple room it means not only the room with 3 beds but the room size must be of adeguate size to accomodate 3 people instead of 2..

Pros: Proximity to Hakata Station is one of the main reasons we chose this place. It is only a few minutes walk to the station from the above ground and only a steps to the underground entryway (I think Entrance 6). There is complimentary coffee and water in the afternoon to midnight. Staff were nice and helped us identify the closest Japan Post box so we can send back our pocket-wifi rental. For non-Japanese speakers, the staff do speak English decently well. They provide alot of little bathroom amenities, including toothbrushes, toothpaste, small brushes, razors, shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, lotions--plus water/coffee/tea in the room. Having stayed at a variety of hotels and ryokans across different cities in Japan, I've come to find this actually seems to be pretty standard but coming from the US, I'm still always amazed at the thoughtfulness and little conveniences they add on (that is sadly not always available in the States)

The best thing about this hotel is the location right near a subway station and across the canal from two parks and the symphony hall building, which is a great attraction alone because of its green-covered pyramid that you can climb. In the evening, several yatai food stalls set up down the street. It's a great Japanese summer pastime to stroll the canal and get some yakitori. Great location for that.

Cons: I arrived with an early morning flight after flying all night and arrived at the hotel by 10am. I was advised that official check in wasn't until 2pm and I would have to wait until this time. I found this somewhat strange considering most North American hotels will allow you to check in if they have a room ready. Even if they didn't immediately have a room ready, they usually make an effort to get you into a room as soon as one is cleaned and ready. I sat patiently in the lobby for the next two hours and then made another attempt at noon to see if any rooms had been cleaned and were ready to be moved into. The front desk's English was very poor so it was difficult to communicate but they again told me that check in wasn't until 2pm. I tried to reason with them that surely some of the rooms must have been cleaned by this point and but was told again that check in would only take place at 2pm. I was told that if I wanted to check in earlier, I would need to pay 3500 Yen for the "overtime". I couldn't quite understand what overtime would be involved since they had to clean my room regardless -- it was just a case of what order they were going to clean it compared to other rooms. I refused to pay this fee and returned to sit on the sofa in the lobby for another two hours. Finally at 2pm I was permitted to check in. I got up to my room only to discover that it was a smoking room (yes, there is still such a thing!). I called down to the desk and explained that I had been assigned a smoking room but wasn't a smoker (interestingly, the kayak site that I booked the hotel on didn't ask for a smoking preference). I was told that there were no non-smoking rooms available (despite me presumably being the first person to check in today!) and that they would send someone up to get rid of the smoke smell. Unfortunately we know how that goes... they attempted to get the smoke smell out but it didn't make much difference. Even thought I was only there for one night, my clothes and luggage still came away smelling like smoke. Hardly an enjoyable experience for the price paid!

Pros: Great location which is closed to the express bus terminal and the private train terminal. Canal City mall is also a walkable distance. Staff at the reception counter are very efficient and helpful. The open-air Bath is certainly a great plus for hotel guests.
Cons: No complimentary water provided in room. Room guests have to get complimentary coffee pack or tea at the reception counter which is not friendly enough.
