Pros: Located right beside the Roman ruins with easy walking everywhere in this lovely town. Staff were very helpful and pleasant with everything: parking the car, at checkin and with meals. Beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. The lounge beside the fire on a windy chilly day with sweet wine and roasted chestnuts- a lovely seasonal treat.

Pros: We were upgraded to a suite as it was my birthday which was a lovely surprise and very much appreciated. The suite and bathroom was very good and had everything we could want. The bed and bedding was very very nice and I slept like a log. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious and catered for all tastes.
Cons: The Wi-Fi was non existent in our suite, presumably because we were at the end of the property. Not really an huge issue. Only one coffee capsule in the coffee machine in the room, but we don't drink coffee anyway. No milk or sugar either though. Unable to open the large windows and I like fresh air, but the room was a comfortable temperature as it had great air conditioning and heating.

Pros: The location was excellent. Close to all amenities and tourist attractions. The space was large enough for our family to sleep and my kids to play during downtime. They seem to cater to bus tours, conventions, etc. where a large group needs rooms of a certain quality with no surprises. The parking lot at the entrance is hard to find. There is minimal free parking in front of the hotel, however they have paid parking. The bar is located by the check-in.in a corner and was understaffed the day we arrived The bartender looked overwhelmed whenever a tour group arrived.

Pros: Nice and spacious room. The balcony/terrace was very nice to hang out. Although we didn't use the swimming pooi, it would have been really great in the summer. The hotel is outside of the city wall, but perfectly located within 5 minutes walking distance to main tourist attraction and with nice free parking. The 24hr check in was convenient and staff were pretty nice. The hotel conveniently offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet with extra cost (although we didn't eat there).
Cons: The bed was extremely hard. It would have been nice to have a water cooker for coffee or tea. All the rooms were facing the courtyard, so the street noise was minimal but there was strange machinery noise (likely old elevator noise) in the morning.

Pros: Spacious room with a balcony. It has a reasonably good dining room with a choice of buffet or a la carte. The bar is very cosy and there are many sitting areas and also a pool. We had 4 nights here and would definitely stay again. The location is close to the station, about a 5 minute walk and the town walls are close in the other direction.

Cons: It was all pretty good. The bar person was rather grumpy and seemed a bit stressed despite the bar being quiet. The room was a bit small.

Cons: The rooms are tiny, you can barely move. It is even difficult to open your suitcase. Also, it was damp in the room and the windows couldn't be opened, so it was quite stuffy.

Cons: When we arrived there was a really strong smell of vomit - I'm guessing someone didn't quite make it to the toilet. This smell permeated through the hotel, or at least the parts we used. Our room was on the front of the hotel, bang next to the main road. This is not a good place to try and get some sleep. The traffic is almost continual. The breakfast area looked like a bomb had gone off with many items needing refilling and queues for the coffee machine.

Cons: We had room 2, ground floor, next to the staff service entrance and facing the road. The windows are single glazed so it was as if the passing motorbikes were actually in the room! The noise of people chattering in the reception area kept us awake until nearly 1am. We were woken at 7am by the constant opening and closing of the staff service door whilst they were preparing breakfast! We complained to the surly manager on reception who said that they would look into replacing the door to our room! Good luck!!

Cons: Staff made me feel like I was interrupting them from a very important video game that I was not playing. Actually it was all I could do to get eye contact. All of the three times I had interaction They have no idea or cared that I was even there.. PS DO NOT ACCEPT 112, 114, or 116 if you need quite in the night.... Noise was terrible.
