breakfast and location excellent
One bedside table and reading light for a double room wasn't what I'd expect from a quite expensive 4 star hotel The shower had mould on the tiles. Bathroom floor tiles dangerously slippery when wet. Be warned that parking is charged daily.
Location was great. They had a nice breakfast. Concierge was very helpful with restaurant suggestions and helping us hire a car to Porto.
It was difficult to get a drink outside restaurant hours.
It is a unique property as a part of the old city of Evora. They have worked with the existing buildings to turn it into a hotel. There are a maze of stairways to get to rooms. This is not a place for those who cannot walk well. It is a lovely city and you feel l transported in time.
Finding the hotel is difficult, even with GPS. Parking is even more of a challenge. The directions should be much more explicit up front. Going through the trouble is definitely worth the effort.
Excellent breakfast & dining room. Very clean. Café Americana
One chair in room, one small table. Short on furniture. Shower is poorly designed, water everywhere. Staff slow to make up room, around 05:00 PM.
Location was excellent. Great breakfast (best we have had in Portugal). Staff were very helpful. Terrace off the eating area was a wonderful place to have a glass of wine and relax.
A couple of minor things. A bedside table at each side of the bed with lamps would have been nice. The bathroom should have at least one shelf big enough for shaving kits/makeup bags.
