The hotel is OK, the staff did not go out of its way to be pleasant. Good location and breakfast. No choice of egg (some people really like their eggs a certain way and this is offered in many hotels but not this one)
The hotel has many, many steps which makes it difficult to get to your room with suitcases (or even without)
Very charming facility. Great staff. Excellent in-house restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Spacious room, and bathroom. Very near the top of the hill, and the center of the old town.
Impossible location to drive to. Yes, it is just a short walk from the church and Roman ruins, but the medieval streets are a maze. There are six parking spots for hotel guests that are tiny, and hard to get to. The property is very quaint, and historic, but very vertical, with no elevator. 30 steps up from the parking to the main level, then 30 more to our room, which was not on the highest level.
A very lovely hotel perched right at the centre of the old town perfect for exploring Évora. Very comfortable and huge bed and lovely bathroom. We were travelling with our dog who was made very welcome and we were able to enjoy happy hour just outside the bar with the dog! Beautiful breakfast with many choices of local produce.
John was excellent. He helped us arrange for a great massage at a nearby spa. He went out of his way to help us.
