Pros:Staff was very helpful especially since Kayak allowed me to book a pick-up time that was the same at their closing time on Christmas eve! Insane. I was on-time but the door was just locked. The staff saw me and was nice enough to open the door and get me the car. Because these are reservations, not paid-for bookings they easily close a few minutes early if there are no customers, especially on holidays like Christmas eve. Not cool Kayak, that could have been reallyyyy upsetting.Cons:Kayak.Reviewed 30 Dec 2019

Not as advertisedCons:We ordered a 7 passenger van with capacity for 3 bags. Our confirmation showed an Opel Vivaro or similar. At pickup we were given a much smaller car that technically 7 people could squeeze into uncomfortably, but left no room for any bags. When the discrepancy was brought up at the counter and the email confirmation was shown, they said they don’t know why I was sent that email confirmation and they didn’t have any other car and there was nothing they could do. The only reason we went with Kayak and Dollar was to get the passenger van, and were forced to change our plans. It’s unfortunate Kayak and Dollar cannot communicate better, but we no longer trust their services and will not be using either again.Reviewed 23 Dec 2018

Cons:We supposed to book the car with Dollar, however when we picked up the car, it has to be with Hertz and they said that the car was not payed and the insurance either, so we payed two times de car.Reviewed 9 Dec 2018

Issue with insurancePros:The car was nice and clean. No issues with it. Diesel and stick shift.Cons:Price changed when we arrived to pick up the car due to issue with insurance. Did not have this issue when renting with Sixt a few days later. No $ surprises. Would not rent from Dollar again.Reviewed 9 May 2016

Gap between price promised and price paidCons:We ordered the car online, preparing to pay 60 Euros, but when we arrived it turned out that we were sole a deal with not insurance. So KAYAK is the problem here. We ended up adding more than double this amount. This is poor programing of your algorithm. I WILL NOT USE KAYAK AGAIN. I received a confirmation to my reservation with a price that had no relations to reality.Reviewed 18 Oct 2015
