Pros: Such a gorgeous hotel. Everything was top notch, from the common areas to the rooms and it seems no expense was spared in creating this breathtaking hotel out of the main Detroit firehouse. The staff was welcoming, helpful and informative about the area. Detroit is a great city and the Foundation hotel is the place to stay.

Pros: Breakfast was good, but it's the ambiance of the Apparatus Room that makes the experience so wonderful. The Restaurant itself is gorgeous and the staff is excellent! From the more than accommodating valets, to Allison at the front desk, to the very friendly and informative bartenders......they all went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.

Pros: Everything about our stay was perfect. The bed was super comfortable the room was clean and spacious, and the downstairs lobby area was amazing. The bar was probably our favorite part but we definitely decided we want to come here again. Our favorite staff members were Bradley and Bobby And they really made our stay that much more memorable. Love this place!

In room snacks locally sourced and reasonably priced. Receptionist all very kind and approachable. Great fitness center with appropriate quality workout gear available. The history and ambiance of this hotel is quite charming. The toiletries in the bathrooms where so nice and very much appreciated.

Cons: The restaurant however was underwhelming. Again, the most amazing space, but our breakfast was just okay. And the coffee game needs to be stepped up.

Cons: My husband ordered the English breakfast, and I tried some of it, but definitely not my cup of tea. My omelette was excellent though. The prices are comparable or even cheaper than many downtown hotel restaurant prices. I really have nothing bad to say about this hotel or the restaurant.

Cons: Bar closed at 1am, so when we returned from a late night concert we're not able to get a night cap, or light food option. This was disappointing as there wasn't any other place nearby for either as well, due to the location of the hotel

We called room service, ordered a couple of things and asked for a couple of Cokes. We were informed that they had Pepsi so we said that we would stick with water. Plenty of space for luggage, and the bathrooms are beautiful). The Candy Bar off the lobby was so fun after an evening out. We didn’t try Karl’s diner upstairs, but it looked fun. The record shop attached is neat to stop into with lots of local artists on vinyl. Overall, it was wonderful for a night in Detroit!

Cons: For the realy high price you pay you get absolutely no amenities....No coffee pot No fridge No microwave ....if you want coffee you have to get dressed go down 12 stories and pay almost 4 dollars for a small cup....no way to keep beverages cold either.....i will stay at another place on my next trip.....the place is close to the stadiums....but ill walk a couple of extra blocks next time....huge bathrooms small living space....if ya go to Detroit for a badass shower this is for you if ya want to move around in your living space not so much....

I know it’s a casino and people like to party, but that was really poor behavior on their part. Not sure if the hotel normally does anything about this. Cons: It was very warm in the room and we could only turn the temperature down to 65 which made sleeping a little difficult. My husband said the pillows were too squishy as well.

Cons: Hotel shares an entrance hall with the casino so theres no way to avoid being hit in the fsce with cigarette/cigar reek when you enter on a Friday or Saturday night. Also, staff weren't able to make a party in the room next to ours stop after 3 calls to the desk in 3 hours and only gave us $100 off that night. Spa hours were short. The room was beautiful but overpriced for lack of hot tub or a river view.

Cons: The room was really clean and it got cleaned and restocked which was nice, however it was pretty dusty which you could definitely see when the sun was shining in the windows. Overall it felt and looked clean, but could benefit from a deep clean and dust.

Cons: We always use this hotel for our annual Detroit Lions game due to cost, convenient, breakfast, comfort. We always book several weeks in advance. When we arrived, we were advised they were sold out, there was no valet, no breakfast, no hot water, rooms not clean. There was no manager to talk to. It was a big letdown. New ownership and was not pleased at all!

Cons: Air conditioning unit didn't work and didnt discover until 12 a.m. Staff wouldnt check anyone in before 3. Their lobby was non-existent and the bathrooms were not open. People who needed to use them had to go across the street to The Westin to use their bathrooms. Noises were loud on the 17th floor.

Cons: The hotel was in the middle of a renovation, and that was not disclosed at booking. Our room was finished, however the TV was not even set up. It was hung on the wall with the cords dangling. Maintenance got it fixed quickly. There was a nice spot for the coffeemaker, however not a plug. We had to sit it on the floor near an outlet. The water was turned off both days we were there.

Cons: -Their is not that much in de close (walking distance) surrounding near the hotel. Also Detroit is quite "dead"city. You can visit the GM center and Greektown with the people mover. But futhermore there is not that much to do during the weekdays. During the evening and at night the surroundings of the hotel become a bit "shady" -The breakfast is simple without that much choice, the quality was good though -Bathroom wasn't the cleanest and a small bathroom -Futhermore the hotel is renovating a lot, luckily we did not had any disturbances during our stay
