People were nice, even if not Covid-19 safe.Had to check at three different rental car checkpoints before finding someone with the Enterprise group that could give us our rental car. Person who got our car wasn’t wearing a Covid-19 mask over her nose, and I had to touch the computer to finish. Lastly, the Ford we rented had a terrible navigation and audio interface, both of which were dangerous to use.

We asked for 12 passenger they gave us 15 we had to remove seats for luggage. The vents in the back didn’t work so the driver had to freeze for passengers to be comfortable. There was no plugs of any type other than the dash.

I was not given clear direction to where to go pick up. I was in the garage for over 20min looking. After locating a person he pointed me to a vehicle that didnt have any keys... frustrated at this point i walk back to the booth and demand they get the van and bring it. That took forever.Have an attendant on hand. It SHOULD NEVER BE THE CUSTOMERS RESPONSIBILITY TO FIND THE VEHICLE

The staff refused to rent me a car. My license expired last month because I turned 25. I am unable to renew it because of the corona virus. Prior to renting the car I called the Ohio BMV and double checked with them. The let me know that because of the pandemic everybody’s licenses and registrations that expired since March were automatically extended until December 31, 2020. They assured me I’d have no issue using my ID to do anything including renting a car and buying alcohol. I double checked the BMV website and on the front page it confirms that everything is automatically extended until the end of the year. The woman at the counter said she couldn’t rent me a car because they already did a one time extension for me for having an expired license. I don’t know what she was talking about because I’ve only ever rented a car one other time and that was in July. My license expired August 4 so when I rented the car in July no special extension would have been made for me. I explained this to her and then she said it’s their policy that they can only rent a car to a person with an expired license if it had expired during the pandemic. And according to her it is no longer a pandemic. Clearly we are still in a worldwide pandemic so that makes absolutely no sense. I tried to explain that the law in Ohio extended all ID/registration until the end of the year because we are in fact still in a pandemic. She then brings her manager out and her manager says it is illegal to rent me a car with an expired license. I tell her I understand but I do not have an expired license since the expiration date was extended. She suggests to me I try to renew online and says if I’m able to do that I could show her that and see if that was sufficient enough to prove I don’t have an expired license. Obviously you cannot receive a driver’s license online so I was unable to do that. I’m really disappointed in the entire experience and also the fact that Alamo thinks that the pandemic has magically disappeared when in fact it’s worse now than it was before. Still not sure what “one time extension” was mentioned to me either. Truly a waste of my morning.

Pick up was easy from Columbus Airport.Drop off was cumbersome. No one in the garage to check you in. Filled the tank up before returning but the gas gauge didn’t move. Check engine light came on about 20 miles from Huntsville.

The worsed car hire I’ve ever come across, plane was 30 mins late no one on the desk when we arrived on a Saturday evening 8.30pm so was stuck at the airport with not a clue what to do, a bus driver came to our rescue, by taking us to a nearby hotel. With the extra cost of over 300 dollars which wasn’t in our budget but had to be paid, unless I’m desperate I won’t be using Hertz again when we travel. The car was fine once we got it and no discount for getting it a day later ☹️

Hertz has the tendency to rent damaged cars. They check them with you when checking out. I now take pictures of the car before I leave. On this rental the return guy was saying 'there is a dent here' at which time I showed him the picture I took before I left the pick up location. This is not the first time they have done this. BEWARE!!

Hertz still charges an extra daily fee to add a spouse as an authorized driver. Luckily it looks like a lot of car rental companies are moving away from this, but it's ridiculous

There was an extra charge for a second (spouse) driver which I don’t think we have ever had from another company. When I looked back at the agreement it did mention additional charges for another driver but didn’t say what they were (13$/day). I would have looked at another rental company if I had been aware upfront (like, the info not buried in the middle of the rental agreement) as it did push the price much past the competition’s price. The car was nice, clean, etc.

I requested an email receipt, which I still haven't received almost a week later. Also, I asked about an upgrade and was told it was $20 more, but my credit card was billed for more than that increase, so it appears I was lied to at the counter as well. Unfortunately, National didn't have any cars available for my travel dates, but I'll be avoiding Hertz in the future.

Staff was not there at the time of my pick up no help on the phone when I called dollar corporate services. Staff was late opening on the second day when I went back to get my car. Not wearing facemask. Very bad experience!Communications between dollar rental and, through who I made my reservation. More punctual and professional help both at the counter in person as well as online is needed.

We made a “reservation” for a Suburban. When we got there all they had left was a little 4 door car. We have 7 people in our family so that wouldn’t work. The man working was nice enough, but he told us when you reserve with a lower cost rental company it’s hit or miss. Sometimes you get what you want, and sometimes you don’t. He showed us a long list of people he had to call to tell them they didn’t have any cars available. I would not recommend renting from Dollar because there NO GUARANTEE that you’ll get what you reserve, or any car for that matter!

They should have notified us that they close at 2pm and that, they would not be able to rent us a car. Their sign says go upstairs to the 2nd floor and someone will help you. Then upstairs it says we close at 2pm. So we had to pay double what our original reservation was and book with Hertz there on the spot.

The size of the car was good, and the mileage was excellentPick up was a little strange when adding a second driver. A little surprised that fee was $13,50 per day for another driver. My most recent experience prior to this rental was with Alamo who allowed the second driver at no additional cost.

Great service, nice location. The car had Steering drift to the left, and I could never get the cruise control to work. Bluetooth to the phone was inconsistent; sometimes it worked, other times it didn’t. Not major issues but the steering issue could have been a safety issue.

Couple of details. Big issue developed unnecessarily when car auto-locked with “key” thing inside. With no information given on door code we were in an interesting situation. No one at Avis was able to supply the code (which is ridiculous ). One person finally somehow remotely unlocked the thing. All so unnecessary Also , the license plate tab was 8 months out of date. Glad we weren’t stopped by the highway patrol!

The pick up was a nightmare. For the record, I went with budget because it had “in terminal” pick-up which is important to me for my right schedule. All the car rental places require a shuttle. We then waited in line for over an hour.

Nissan Altima is apparently considered a full-size car. 1 agent working the desk with a line of at least 30 people is not good customer service. All cars should be available for fast pickup vs having to wait in the line.

Staff was very efficient and helpful, vehicle was OK, but not very clean. Waited in checkout line with about 20 other customers for approx. 45 minutes because Budget had only one employee checking customers out. This is not an isolated situation because when I returned the vehicle there were approx. 35 customers in line with only two Budget employees. Not acceptable because Budget knows the reservation schedule.

The car could have been cleaned better. Found a bottle of previous user under the seat. Car was not full loaded with petrol, but that i managed by keeping my bills from tanking gasoline. With that i could prove that i tanked more than that i used. So that part went very well

The wait for the shuttle to the rental car center at CMH was RIDICULOUS. Massive amounts of people waiting for shuttles. Had to take a taxi to the rental car center! Once there, line at the counter was at least 25 people long. Only TWO agents working for THREE rental companies. After that, the experience was superb. CMH has really messed up by putting rental cars off site.

For pick up: only one agent was working at 8:30am, enormous line with each person's check in taking about 10 minutes. There were four people in front of me and it took an hour to get through the line. When I left there were more than 30 people in line. Very disappointing since I had a meeting to get to, added to my stress.

Drop off was easy.It took a long time to pick up the car (40 minutes) even though there was only one person in front of me in line. The cars weren't ready. I had absolutely no choice, and the car was not what I had ordered. It was really flashy--something I did not want at all as a woman travelling alone.

I made a reservation for a big car but it wasn’t quite large enough for what I needed, when I went back to see if I could upgrade to a bigger one, they changed the paperwork and within a few minutes for no charge, I had a bigger car ready to go! Watch for added chargesBillled me $50 extra for fuel (I returned it full) and added insurance that I did not buy with the reservation. avis removed fuel charge but only 1/2 of the insurance charge after I complained. Not renting from again

I waited two hours to pick up a van . They didn’t even appreciate my time saying thank you so much or didn’t even give me discount for it. I didn’t the reservation and still they didn’t have a car ready for me . Not happy with service at all . Please let me know if you want to talk to me . I reserved a Tahoe or equivalent but they gave me a Tacome truck with less space. The wait to check in and get vehicle was over an hour wait. The truck was dirty: the previous user had a dog in it and there was hair everywhere. The window have finger smudges on all of them and there was fish scales in the tail bed. I was definitely a lack luster experience.

Staff was definitely friendly and welcoming and made the entire process effortlessThe car absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke. When choosing the SUV, I had only a few options, and I entered two different ones, both reeking. I just had to choose one and go with it, clearly keeping the windows down during all three days (despite the heatwave). The smell did not go away!

The convenience and easy pickup and drop was amazing. The size of the vehicle for the value was great. The only slight issue was the car was a little dirty. In the cup holders and some crevices were sticky. Luckily I travel with Disinfectant wipes, other than that I would use Payless again for my car rental needs.

Well while waiting in line to rent my car, I heard the agent charge three people in front of me charged a $100.00 deductible. All were white. When I got to the counter, he charged me a $250.00 deductible which was just $13.00 less than the total rental. I was in a hurry so I didn’t have time to argue with him. But I thought I’d let you know

First off, it says that the car counter is in the terminal and it’s not. I was not expecting to have to shuttle to the car rental place. I felt like the advertisement was not truthful. Then I was given a car that did not have a full gas tank, but I did not notice until I had left the airport. But they did nothing about it. I was not pleased with the service of Payless.
