Quick and easy drop off close to airport terminal.
Pros: 1. Picking up and dropping off the car took maybe five minutes each.
2. There were no hidden fees. The rental agent didn't try to sell me extra insurance.
3. The car was very close to the Midland airport terminal, no rental shuttle required!
Cons: 1. The rental agent tried to sell me Hertz "NeverLost" GPS.
2. Even though I declined the GPS, there was a GPS unit in the car anyway. It was very annoying and impossible to unplug.

Pros: Price was great, deposit is less than the other companies I have used. After becoming so fed up with Enterprise and their usual " don't have that vehicle and the new rental charge is this much more" it was nice to be able to chuck the keys on Enterprises desk and spend my money with a company that will actually work with you.
Cons: Didn't have the truck I booked but ended up with a brand new Tahoe

Getting the run-around
Cons: I was unable to get this car and cant get my money back. Went to pick it up. Already paid for this. Problem with my credit card. Now I cant get anyone to help me with getting the 65 dollars I have paid . I used Kayak before but I am not going to again. And will not advise anyone to do so

Car was fine, service was NOT
Pros: That the car was clean and it worked
Cons: Some of the absolutely most atrocious customer service of all time. My flight was delayed past their open hours but I knew ahead of time. So I called, and called, and called, ALL DAY and no one answered. So one returned my voicemails and lo and behold, no one was there when my plan landed (despite the fact Enterprise and Avis were there after hours giving paying customers their cars) So I was stranded in Midland TX trying to find an Uber or Cab at 1am.
I did finally make it to my hotel but I needed to beat work by 8am. They open at 7 so I called Hertz over and over and again, not a soul answered. I had to wait until 7pm to get out there to get my car and they had cancelled my reservation! Without ever speaking to me! And all they had was a compact car when I had requested a normal sized one because I had to drive clients around town.
I'm in sales, and if I ever treated one of our customers even a fraction of this badly, I would be fired on the spot. I will never rent from Hertz again.
Pros: The staff was friendly and curtious. There were a lot of people there that morning getting cars. However, there wasn't a long wait. I thought the staff handled the volume of customers very efficiently. The staff also worked very well together helping each other out. Excellent teamwork.
Cons: Two of the entrances going into the place have somewhat of a steep slope. If you drive through them straight you can drag the front of the car a little. You have to enter and exit through these spots at an angle to avoid this. This was the only thing I didn't care for.

Pros: We never even got the car cause we don't have credit cards.. and our debit card wouldn't work!

Pros: The car was comfortable, new and got extremely great gas mileage. The service at the counter was quick and painless.
Cons: The numbered spots were a little hard to follow.

Great service, but beware of the hike upon return
Pros: The customer service was great and the car was clean and new.
Cons: When you return the car, you have to walk a VERY, VERY long distance with all of your luggage back into the airport to return your keys and get your receipt. There was no shuttle. I am in very good shape, but with heavy luggage, the hike can be a challenge!

They will NOT accept a debit card
Cons: Be warned, they do not accept debit cards. I am fortunate that a representative from Avis assisted me and gave me a better price than Enterprise so it all worked out for the best.

Opted for value, boy howdy!
Pros: Well I asked for the cheapest option due to the fact I wanted to save money. To my surprise, I received a drop top BMW M series gas saver!
Cons: Came with only half tank of gas, had to wait about an hour to report gas, called to have hourly rate charges taken out due to being late, was charged then tried to get charged for an additional day.
It was all squared up after about two days.
Pros: I really liked how cheap this rental was, and how hassle-free the pickup and return was.
Cons: I did not like that the Dollar booth was closed, so we had to walk back to the Hertz booth. It was a minor inconvenience, but it all worked out though.

Pros: Employee was courteous.
Cons: When I arrived my reservation, that I had changed earlier was not known by the person I talked to. So, the car was not ready and they gave me a Jeep, which I wanted, that had not been cleaned out well or washed. The mud from the person before me was still on the car and in the car. I was very disappointed.

Poor customer service
Pros: The car was clean and new.
Cons: Due to some emergency, I asked if I can drop-off the car at a different location. They charged me some 300 dollars extra for that inspite of taking the car for a month.

Cons: I reserved a pick up, i needed it. At alamo desk, i was jnformed they dud not have any, she offered a minivan instead. Finally i got a small SUV , a compass. The she reduced the price to a mid size SUV eventhough she was giving me a Small SUV

Pros: Place offered a pickup - but then, didn't even know what size it was.
Cons: I didn't like that I was never even offered roadside assistance and had to pay $70 after waiting two hours for a jump start. I understood the $470 initial fee for out of state rental, but not being charged that entire $470 again for returning it in 31 hours instead of 24.
I'll pay a competitor twice as much before dealing with this shiesty company again.

Terrible Customer Service
Cons: The customer service at the MAF terminal is abysmal. Literally, non existant. The young lady at the desk was so preoccupied with her report that she had little interest in helping me. If I had the opportunity to recommend a friend to use Alamo, i would first recommend them to walk, or maybe even ride a donkey before I suggested or even hinted at the possibility of using Alamo for a rental car. Suffice it to say, I couldn't be more disappointed in how I was treated as a customer.
Cons: I needed to extend the use of the vehicle i rented. However, i was going to be charged 200 dollars. I complained and he lowered to 160.00. It was for one extra day. I purchased first for 26 a day. There should be some kind of lock in rate. I understand some more but that much. Just ridiculous.
