Medellin is a modern city with large streets that are all sizes of vehicles will find comfortable and easy to drive on. Additionally, even the parking spaces in the city are large, so families traveling in large cars will have no issues fitting into a spot. It should be noted, however, that in some of the more densely packed neighborhoods the streets can shrink a bit, so larger cars might have to occasionally stop and let other cars pass them.
In residential areas of Medellin the speed limit is 30 km/h (19 mph), while on urban roads the speed limit jumps up to 60 km/h (37 mph). Outside of urban areas the speed limits start out at 80 km/h (50 mph) and on major highways the speed limit goes up to 100 km/h (62 mph)

Parking is plentiful in Medellin so drivers will have their choice of spots. Parking garages are available in the central business district and, once you go further out, streetside parking is widely available. In the downtown area streetside parking can fill up quickly during peak hours of traffic, so plan accordingly.
