Cons:
We didnt understand that when the car we rented wasn’t available, that the car offered was going to cost us another 790.00. We paid 1200.00 to rent a car for less than 48 hours. We spent the total of 2.5 hours in this car. I am just so upset and feel taken advantage of. We were promised $250.00 back on our credit card and have not seen that yet. I would be fine with paying $400 dollars for the car, but 1200.00 is absolutely ridiculous and robbery.8.0 Very Good

Pros:
Scheduled day for pickup all locations were closed in Central Florida. We went to a couple of them and tried others by phone and contacting Dollar several times. We ended up renting from Enterprise at last minute from airport just as another family did that was truing to pick up their rental at the closed locations. Not sure what another lady did that was also trying to pick up her rental from a closed location.Cons:
Not to have scheduled pick up of rentals on July 4th when all Dollar locations in Central Florida were closed with no employees in site. What a mess it was for us and a couple other families trying to pick up their non existent rentals. We ended up paying hundreds more for an Enterprise mini van rental but at least they were open at the Orlando airport.3.6 Poor

Cons:
Made a same-day reservation online. When I went to pick up, desk was not staffed. When staff appeared, she told me no cars were available and she had no suggestions to offer. I called another nearby office and was told they couldn't do anything for me. The implication was that same-day reservations are meaningless and that I should have known that.5.6 Fair

The price was reasonable. Didn’t know it was absolutely no frill.Cons:
First: I was given a car with less than 1/2 tank of gas. BUT, per the counter person, I could prepay for gas because of the prepaid status. I couldn’t do any add on BUT... I was expected to bring it back with a full tank. The ‘computer’ was down at the office and we had to drive to another office to complete the transaction. Had not used Hertz in some time. Do not plan to use again.10.0 Wonderful
