The car was not ready for me. I had let them know that I would be collecting it the following day and when I arrived they were still washing the vehicle. They gave me a bigger car and as I was in a hurry I had to return later to exchange for the smaller size which I wanted. Took a long time to do the paperwork when I picked up the car and 20 minutes to do paperwork when I returned it. They then asked if I had smoked in the car as there was a smell of smoke. My car was scheduled for 6pm. I didn't realize that they close at 6 as well, by the time I got there for a pickup, they were closed. I delayed my trip until next morning. When I got to Hertz for pickup in the morning, they didn't put any effort into getting me a car instead told me very rudely that they are sold out.Avis

TL;DR DO NOT CHOOSE THIS RENTAL LOCATION. IT'S A SCAM This specific Thrifty location should be black listed. I called them by phone to let them know I was going to be 20 minutes late. They told me my car wasn't there, but it WOULD be at 3pm (3h late). Fine with me. I called back at 2:30 to verify my car was there. This is where the Thrifty representative was horrible! I was informed that there were no cars for me. I asked how can this be, I have a confirmed reservation. She said all the cars were rented in the morning. I inquired about brining in a car from another location but she insisted there were no cars available. We went back and forth. I was firm, but not once did I raise my voice, swear, or sound aggressive. I was just trying to find a way to get a car because I needed it to go visit my family for the Easter long weekend! Eventually she hung up on me!!!! I called back and she picked up the phone and hung up. I called several times and she either didn't answer, immediately put me on hold, and or just picked up and hung up. The end result was that I was left stranded in Vancouver, away from family for the entire Easter weekend. All other rental cars were booked and or too expensive for me.Ace
