10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. Modern Hotel. Very good breakfast. The staff were very helpful and genuinely friendly. Nice pool.
Cons: Nothing to dislike. It was that good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing food and service! Restaurant worth a michelin ⭐️ star. Thank you very much. We come back .
Cons: ----
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was an absolutely beautiful hotel. The spa, the rooms, etc are modern, clean, upscale and just really nice! The staff is super friendly and helpful as well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location to the alp di suuis Beautiful pool and sauna Helpful and kind staff I left early in the morning and they package me a beautiful food to go bag
Cons: No bedroom slippers available you had to buy a package for €66 It would be great to leave a pair of slippers in the room for free like every hotel
7.5 Good
Pros: Wonderfully restored historic hotel in the very heart of the cosy mountain village Castelrotto. We loved the minimalistic style combined with the cosyness, warmth and comfort of a true mountain resort hotel. The architect is a genius!!! The suite room was pretty small but hat a fantastic view (and balcony) facing the main square with the church. We loved our room: The beds and down duvets were super comfortable, the furniture exquisite, the colors, fabrics and materials were just perfect. The wellness area is one of most beautiful we have ever seen, it is not too big (fits the size of the hotel), but everything is spot on. The views from there are amazing in all directions - we actually did not want to leave this heaven of peace and relaxation.
Cons: as much as we loved the structure and amenities of this place, we were disappointed about the entire service, especially in the restaurant. Given the pretty high price (we paid much less via booking, compared to the quote when we called them), we would have expected impeccable service throughout the entire structure. The welcoming in the restaurant was pretty disturbing: the restaurant manager told us that we only had breakfast included so they don't have a table for us -- when pointing out that we booked half board, they told us that this is impossible as we reserved through booking.com; we actually had to prove that we had half board, and it took some embarrassing time standing there, the unwanted guests..... Same story next day at breakfast, no table prepared for us, and the selection of the breakfast - given that this was supposed to be almost a gourmet restaurant - was disappointing. There was no bread selection at all (as in the evening), and the rest was pretty standard for a 4*S resort (we have seen much better in the same area). Quality of food (esp. at dinner) was as expected, but if you want to eat big portions, better order from the standard menu... (they serve typical south Tyrollean dishes on request, very good)... overall we found that we missed the feeling that this is a privately owned and managed structure. WE never saw the owner, which is unusual for those kind of boutique hotels in the Alpine region. Also the girls at the reception were not really informed (although very kind), they sent us with the car into the next villages to rent bikes, while the entire town is full of excellent rentals... so - if they get their Services up to the level of the structure, they will get 5* from us...

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great and the spa was fabulous. Excellent choice of food at breakfast. The rooms were bright and spacious.
Cons: Vegetarian options at dinner would be appreciated.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This was our third visit to this hotel, and we had a very pleasant stay. Very clean, helpful staff, excellent service and very good food. The very best part is the rooftop pool where we spent our afternoon with bathing and drinks in the h sunshine. We went walking every day and Kastelruth is very well connected with Seiser Alm and Val Gardena by buses. We can really recommend this hotel.
Cons: Wifi is slow.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It was a very nice property! Wonderful breakfast Buffett!!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious and nice. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, specially the young lady in reception and the lady in the breakfast service. The SPA was sooo good (if you do not mind being naked in front of other people). The terrace pool was a nice perk. I was very impressed with the breakfast selection, one of the best selections of fruits, breads and cereals and really nice coffee.
Cons: I did not find the bed very comfy but might be my personal taste. It is a expensive hotel however you get excellent service and perks like a cake buffet, so I guess you get what you are paying for.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: New(ish) property. Nice rooftop pool, good restaurant and beautiful bar. Front Office staff was very friendly, restaurant staff could have been a bit more attentive.
Cons: Due to the location of the property, the views are limited. Our (upgraded) room faced a supermarket, that started to receive truck deliveries at 7am each morning.
6.0 Good
Pros: The position, the building and hotel facilities are superb. The roof top swimming pool is great! Surrounding area is a pearl on the mountains. The little village of Castelrotto is very pleasant.
Cons: Just a little advice for guests. We had to pay for toll-free numbers calls (sic!), it's about 50 Euro cents/minute from room. Should you leave the hotel before end of booking, you'll be requested to pay the full stay. Clean room but not super-shining.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We love everything about this hotel. It is clean, the food in the restaurant is amazing, the staff is very friendly and accommodating, the views are breath taking and the rooms are perfect.
Cons: Not a thing. We have stayed here before and will keep coming back. We miss it already.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The food was great, the SPA area was beautiful. The room was clean and had everything we needed even though ours was very small.
Cons: Since it's a romantic hotel I believe that it should be adult only hotel. The relaxing room by the inner pool was not so much relaxing when there were children playing and screaming (not blaming the children, that's what they do). That's my only complaint.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic restaurant service. Newly renovated room and bath. And wonderful views.
7.9 Good
Pros: Newly refurbished room SPA area Close to ski area
Cons: Food
4.2 Okay
Cons: Very expensive for what it was. Not luxurious but pretentious, sad staff. Run like a business hotel, no atmosphere and everything was extra.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent with great bus connections. Room and furniture good and clean.
Cons: Service in the breakfast room was partly chaotic - depending on the waiter / waitress. Getting new towels from the room service was a mess but the reception helped out very professionally. Wellness treatment center needs improvement.
7.9 Good
Pros: - the hotel has been recently renewed - the position of hotel is very close to ski area (2-3 km)
Cons: - dinner food was average - buffet not properly managed especially if you arrive late - staff not really informed about the food they are serving
9.0 Excellent
Pros: very good dinners, room was clean. The sauna area is very good with variety of different type of saunas. It also really nice that you can do the hike from the hotel using nearby trails (highly recommended to see Fie lake)
Cons: Dinners were great but breakfasts can be improved: - every day is exactly the same set of stuff (scramble eggs, bacon) - around 7:30 - 8:30am a lot of people are waiting for coffee: you need to wait for waiter to order a coffee and than wait when it is prepared and served for you. Probably better idea will be to have just automated express machine
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent facility Warm ambient Good for family
Cons: Water not hot enough: shower and toilet as well as temperature of jacuzzi bathtub.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location of the Hotel is absolut great. Room we stayed was very beautiful. Beds very comfy and size of the room was perfect. Interior very nice with a lot of wood. Easy check in with car parking in the garage. Nice garden and pool area. Sauna is also very nice.
Cons: We at least cannot recommend rooms In building where also the restaurant is located as it was too smelly from the kitchen when we opened our window and entrance for suppliers was also just below the balcony which was too noisy in the morning. Quality of food was average.
7.0 Good
Pros: Fabulous location and for the area great interior design including our suite. Beautiful inside/outside pool area Food especially dinner was amazing ( even the set menu) Generally very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Unfortunately despite planning not to arrive during European school holidays we managed to book our holiday during a local Carnival week which meant all schools the area were shut for skiing and festivals - there were many adolescent children staying in the hotel and they absolutely ruined any opportunity to relax in the hotel communal areas even at 11.30pm . This also included the beautiful pool area. The teenagers were extremely loud and disruptive running around the lovely lounge/ bar areas playing hide and seek through the corridors etc. We could not relax in the stunning indoor/outdoor pool as a group of screaming teens arrived and started to dive bomb in the jacuzzi section!! There appeared to no supervision by any visible adults and the staff just allowed them to do exactly as they wanted. The only peace we got was whilst eating and in our rooms. Also had a strange situation during dinner - the dining room is split into three areas with one area being particularly well decorated and romantic and cosy the second section less so and around the salad buffet and the third section in a secreted brightly lit sauna style room , despite being a couple with no kids we were put in the sauna room, we asked to change tables for the followings nights we were told by Jan ( head waiter?) that we could have a table in section 2 only which was slightly better , Jan said the the ‘ Best section’ was reserved for repeat customers and the hotel was full so not possible during our stay but on our second night a table for two sat empty in the ‘ best section’ after speaking to a lovely waiter on our way out that evening we were to reserve that table for the third night!!!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff
Cons: No diner served

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, good information, convenient parking
Cons: I dislike having an assigned seat for breakfast. As an American I would actually prefer to have the opportunity to sit near non-Americans. I’m here to experience another culture. And I don’t mind speaking German or Italian with the staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful and friendly staff and management. Speak good English. 600 years old but renovated , traditionally furnished. Good sized and comfortable rooms. Had a nice lobby with as bar . Not far by bus to n the ski fields. Nice country walks and centre of town nearby.
Cons: No problems
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was large and comfortable, and staff was extremely accommodating and kind.
Cons: Decor is a bit outdated but still a charming place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: In Cavallino d'Oro you are met with very friendly staff the moment you arrive. The hotel is very beautiful with rooms and common areas all in impeccable condition. Breakfast is fine and location good. An evening drink in the bar area with a cosy fireplace is recommended. I went to do XC skiing 10 minutes away from hotel by car in Compatsch. This ski area is absolutely top notch. Open high plateau with plenty of snow, great vistas, nature and sun all day long. Perfect XC-skiing experience in the Alps.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This property is truly special. I have been in hospitality management/ownership for nearly 30 years, and this is such a great example of what real hospitality is. We stayed here in 2014, had such a wonderful experience we went back in 2019 - it was just as amazing as the first time - that is not easy to do, meet or exceed the first impression. Hospitality from the staff is top-tier, really can't compliment them enough. The property is meticulously maintained - rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable, quiet. This is a true escape from the world - in the shadow of the mighty Alpe di Siusi - the town of Castelrotto (Kastleruth) is stunning. You want an escape, want to be treated with genuine hospitality? Book your trip and stay at the Hotel Cavallino D'Oro - you will wonder why you didn't book for longer. The breakfast is a full-spread from savory, sweet, and healthy options - if you can't find something delicious you're simply not trying. Again, the service is truly remarkable. There are too many remarkable activities and restaurants to sample in the immediate vicinity to even scratch in a single visit. And lastly - they have a bar onsite that is open to 11 pm with draft beer, cocktails, wine, and espresso - everything you need for your getaway to Italy. I'm not affiliated in any way to the property or owners - just truly an awesome experience - and we can't wait to return.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hotel. Amazing breakfast. The staff were very very very nice. The rooms are big, amazing view. Clean. If we'll go back to the dolomites we defantly go back to this hotel

Pros: Seiser Alm is an amazing place. Every corner of that land is special and captivating. Seiser Alm Urthaler is an amazing hotel. We were greeted with much attention by Barbara and staff. The Restaurant is great and every day amazing. We will definitely return and recommend this space. Staying there is worth every penny.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location, room, food, postion of the hotel very good service at the desk Breakfast and dinner really perfect
Cons: compare to the price there are 2 points in our opinion not perfect: the temperature of the swimming pool inside and outside quite cold. The sauna area, for the level of this hotel is not at the usual Sud tirol / trentino standard, quite poor. the garden is ok
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent food. Very clean and modern hotel. Lovely service.
Cons: Heating kept a bit too high for our liking.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and spacious room. Comfortable bed and 3 pillows to choose from. The staff was very polite. Perfect location for skiing.
Cons: The breakfast was the same every day, not a lot of options to choose from for a 5 star hotel. The prices in the a la carte restaurant were higher than the quality of the food.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everzthing was perfect
Cons: There is nothing not to like

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location to the lift and hiking was great.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location and staff
8.3 Excellent
Pros: + a site with limited accessibility at the end of the resorts has secured slopes without too many skiers + a position of the hotel near lifts and with approach belts ensured a comfort + a stunning view at the Dolomites from the balcony + comfortable underground parking
Cons: - no freshly squeezed juice (just cheap discount juice from the box) was available for the breakfast, and the eggs were only on request - the restaurant offered an attractive menu, but the meals were rather average, a significantly worse than the (three-star!) hotel in Alpe di Siusi, where we lived before - Italian waitresses were confused and servered offen the other food and drink than ordered (many corrections needed) - the receptionist promised to issue permit to drive a car (required in this area) and then she forgot about it - undersized capacity of wellness
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location and surrounding scenery are stunning. The hotel itself was comfortable enough with good facilities and a nice restaurant but the bedrooms were okay rather than luxurious. The welcome drink was a nice touch and the receptionist was really helpful sorting out our car permit.
Cons: We had trouble finding the hotel at first but probably because we were relying on satnav - it wanted to take us a long way round, presumably because the hotel is in a restricted traffic zone.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Our second stay here, the first was 6 years ago. Such a lovely setting! Our room had a direct view on the Sassolungo and Sassopiatto, lots of space to unpack and relax with a separate seating area. Meals are enormous and well-prepared. Luckily you do not have to eat all five courses at dinner, but you can if you want to! Staff kind and accommodating, strongest languages are German and Italian but most staff members have enough English to take care of your needs. Terrific location for setting off on long hikes in the Alpe di Siusi.
Cons: Wifi was sketchy. It would drift in and out unpredictably. We solved that, mostly, by using our cellphones as hotspots.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Situated on the Alpe di Siusi our hotel could not but offer breathtaking views combined with charming and helpful staff, truly excellent cuisine served with finesse and a very large a comfortable room.

5.0 Okay
Cons: Whirpool broken, sauna not in operation, Wifi up and down, the best signal in the lift! Breakfast quite OK, I recommend put extra plates to the buffet, one is not enough. Staff, probably owners, behave as it bothered all the time !!!
4.6 Okay
Pros: The property is very close to the city center, plus it has an internal car park. The rooms are reasonably big.
Cons: 1) The owners/members of staff smoke inside the main office which is not detached from the main reception, plus the main bar at the entrance allows people to smoke. There is no proper ventilation to isolate the smell of smoke As a result, all the hotel (including carpet throughout and smoke free areas) smells like nicotine. The effect was similar to a 1980s Motel. This is quite unacceptable both for families with babies (third hand smoke is as harmful as second hand smoke) or if you consider spending a holiday in the nature with unpolluted air. 2) The staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. When we booked, the room description on booking.com included an internal kitchen. Disappointingly, there was no kitchen in the room. As a result, we didn’t know how to prepare food for our 9 months old baby. The members of the staff refused to admit there was an error on their side. Moreover, when I asked if we could at least quickly use the main kitchen to quickly prepare some food for my son, they said this was impossible because that would have meant cooking in their private kitchen. In reality, the kitchen I had asked to access was used for the hotel customers breakfast rather than being for private use. 3) Given the cost of the room, we found the breakfast quite basic and relatively below the average when compared to the average standard of similar accomodations in Castelrotto. They charged us for a cappuccino, and the coffee was quite disgusting.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: comfortable room with storage space, perfectly clean, large terrace with garden chairs, big breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a wonderful apartment. Would come back for sure !!
Cons: WiFi was hard to get, and not much help from deck because they did not understand English. It all worked out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet clean room near the bus stop. Breakfast was a good addition and more than adequate for us. We had a nice deck with view of the mountains from our room with a good shower with plenty of hot water .
Cons: Hot tub whirlpool was too cold to use the first day and sauna was too busy to use the second day. We need more help finding restaurants. No advice was offered and the language was a barrier.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice room with balcony. Lovely rooftop deck
Cons: Wish we'd had more time there.
7.0 Good
Pros: I liked the sauna area downstairs and the rooftop jaccuzzi. The location as the ski-bus stop was literally across the road. It was also very close to the center of the city which was nice for walking after the skiing days.
Cons: The staff did not speak English that well and did not try very hard to help us with other matters such as ski-rental or what to do in the vicinity of the hotel. Also as it was an apartments hotel, the amount of cutlery and dishes was too small.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location Breakfast The owner offered us to deliver our luggage to next hotel
Cons: Nothing

7.5 Good

Cons: Nothing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The dinner and breakfast are pretty good and the location is great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is stunning, you can walk from the hotel all over the valley and access chairlifts that will take you to stunning views and hikes. Dinner was absolutely incredible; we were not expecting such a high quality multi-course meal with unlimited salad/vegetable buffet. The value is astounding. Also, we lost an item and when we came back at the end of the day after having checked out hours before, they had found it for us.
6.7 Good
Pros: Breakfast and Dinner were included in the stay. The food is pretty good.
Cons: The place needs a bit of modernization.
7.5 Good
Pros: overall its good compared with its price, the environment around is beautiful, the food is locally style and enough
Cons: the woman at reception is rudest one we ever met after traveling to several countries, that day when we arrived, the older man helped us to check in ,he speaked less English so we might misunderstand that we can drink ourselves at the bar just near the reception (our booking includes 3 meals,so we asked and then misunderstand his positive answer). same day afternoon, when we just took a bottle of some kind of juicy ourselves, the lady came and take the glass in our hands, threw away the juicy in it, shut us so loudly in Germany or Italy something for at least 1 mininute, then she started to speak English, in a friendly way to explain, saying she can serve us !! we have no mind to be served by her then left, cauz she is so rude and so strange. first of all,be nice to your customer! secondly we are all Asian faces, obviously there is no meaning at all to speak other languange except for english, not to mention after that you speak a fluent English! Last, be kind to the people around you from heart, dont play two faces which is most terrible part for us!!

Pros: The location is amazing. Tucked away below some beautiful mountains, this home has everything. Updated modern rooms, a great spa area, outdoor pool. The owner and his family are super nice and very accommodating. You can hike for hours right from the property. Great for families too!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The wellness centre is top class! And the location is beautiful with views of the town of Suisi and a short walk from the property to a spectacular lake/mountain views. This was an amazing introduction to the Dolomites and we wish we could have stayed longer.
