Pros: It’s a nice hostel on a good location in the Walled City. Close to Plaza San Diego which is really nice and great restaurants close by! Nice place to meet fellow travelers. And the hostel organises things like salsa or bachata lessons in the evening which is fun!
Cons: The rooms and bathrooms were pretty basic and the latter not always the cleanest, but it was regularly cleaned. I guess for the price I expected more, but Cartagena is just way more expensive then Bogota and Medellin for what you get.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great value for money. Easy walking distance to bars, restaurants and groceries. Staff were super helpful and accommodating.
Cons: Our room was right beside the bar which was really loud at night and in the morning.

Pros: *great location *comfortable beds *bathroom in the room *low price *nice house *swimming pool *free water in the kitchen
Cons: *reserved female only room and it was not respected (allowed guys in my room) *the atmosphere was like in hotel - nice, nothing wrong but neutral/correct, no usual hostel atmopshere *breakfast only till 9am - if you go out in the evening no chance to get up *information, maps, travels only if you ask personally (usually hostels show clearly the whole offer, but not here)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Cold showers were refreshing. Despite the key situation -it worked out. Just lock up bags and there's little lockers to lock up valuables. There's a fan and air-conditioning available in the room. It was in a good spot and it's not party hostel so it quiet :)
Cons: I booked a 6bed female dorm but there were guys in it. Reported it to the receptionist and they said they made a mistake and will move them but nothing was done. I paid for female dorm , I expect all female dorm. Their taps are push button system so if you pushed it in too much and can't stop water from pouring out. The only one key per dorm situation. Where it's pretty much unlocked 24/7 so that other people can go in and out of the room

Cons:
7.1 Good
Pros: The staff were fantastic - especially Gerardo on reception and all the ladies at breakfast. They couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. The bed was comfy. Our room had a fan and AC. The rooftop is nice.
Cons: The location isn’t great. It’s close to the old part which is good during the day. But at night when you want to head over to the restaurants and bars, the walk was sketchy. The showers are cold but that seems to be standard along the Caribbean Coast of Colombia. The internet was very patchy! Often cutting out. The pool is tiny. We were never tempted to get in despite the heat! It’s not a hostel - There are no common areas or hostel vibe. It’s a small hotel.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was friendly, specially the waitress attending guests for breakfast who looked after ensuring we were ok.
Cons: Although it is not on the Hostal's control, the Street in front looks dirtier that the surroundings. Also, bear in mind that instead of the normal taxi fare from the airport at $14, the hostal was trying to charge us $60. Lucky we know a bit about the Council's set taxi fares initiative at the airport, otherwise we would had been ripped off and very upset.
7.1 Good
Pros: The Location is good because in close to the colorful and beautiful city streets, but in the night, the street on front to the hostal looks dirty and dark. The Staff is very friendly and willing to help.
Cons: The Location is good because in close to the colorful and beautiful city streets, but in the night, the street on front to the hostal looks dirty and dark. The A/C in the room was working poorly, but for that cheap price we can not ask for more.
5.0 Okay
Pros: close to the historical center, clean and easy to get, for a quick stay in Cartagena.
Cons: The hotel in general was pretty basic, the room also the breakfast
9.6 Excellent
Pros: clean and great installations
Cons: the neighborhood sometimes has flooded streets and messy sidewalks none have to do with the hotel itself also some details could be bettered like reception tidyness

Pros: Good location, friendly staff
Cons: The room was very small, dirty, cracks in the wall, unconfortable bed, air conditioning not working, shower was a hose out of the wall.
7.1 Good
Pros: good breakfast, close to center but loud at night
Cons: very very loud at night (party next to hotel) some problems with toilet couple hours without fresh water (cant take shower before sleep and after wake up) by one night
5.4 Okay
Pros:
Cons: Very loud. Our room was directly above a club. No sleep until 4 AM
4.6 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was tasteful
Cons: Noise all night and all morning! Apparently no rules about until when you can play loud music, have your tv on or shower, cause we had to go to the other room ourselves and knock the door before they finally turned off their loud music at 3 in the night. Walls are far from soundproof and there are holes made on purpouse in the upper part of the wall. We didn't sleep at all.

Pros: Location, good price
Cons:
5.4 Okay
Pros: the hotel is close of many bars and centertown.
Cons: Very noisy because of the bar under the room, until 3:00. The shower was only a tube with no choise of the water heat. I heard the first night my neighbours having sex when the bar closed.

Cons: The room was stuffy and and we could hear every noise from other rooms and the fans were really loud. Also the breakfast was kind of shabby.

The staff were super friendly (especially mario!) the owner went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasurable as possible! We stupidly forgot money and he did everything he could so we didn’t have to go all the way back to Cartagena. We were super grateful for the 1st class customer service he provided us! We have a dog and they were so good with her which puts us at ease so much! It was amazing, we will be back (with more money haha)!!!!

Pros: Location. Two of the staff Carlos and Elena where always friendly and helpful if you needed anything or anything went wrong, but too much goes wrong here that’s the problem.
Cons: 1.Upon arrival we were greeted and sat down to arrange check in, as we sat down two women who were on the premises proceeded to give us massages, we said no twice but they persisted as we were occupied talking to the receptionist. By the end of it this the two women asked for 100,000cop each we said no which began the big debate that went on for an hour between us who do not speak much Spanish, the receptionist and another lady who translated for us. Eventually they settled for 60,000, we were not happy about this because we didn’t have much cash and we thought that the women were part of the Hostal. We were not told anything before arriving to the island either. At the end of the day it is the hostels responsibility not to allow these people on the premises, or to tell them to stop hassling us as we checked in. None of this was done. 2. There is sand everywhere all through the rooms. 3. On the sign it says breakfast starts at 7 and lunch starts at 12. Every day this was late from between 1 and 2 hours. We missed our midday boat because lunch was so late on the last day. 4. They always run out of water for the showers, and often had to ask half way through for them to top it up by hand. 5. The food is not good 6. The walls are paper thin you can here all the rooms around. The floors shake as people walk and even shake when someone decides to have sex in there room. Yes you can here and feel every thrust! Disgusting! Stay here if you would like a terrible experience!
5.0 Okay
Pros: Bed comfortable Right on the beach at the quiet end so less people selling to you Relaxed vibe
Cons: Staff seemed very confused when I showed up, almost unwelcoming at first. Not sure what was going on Because it’s and outdoor/indoor space there were rats running around the roof at night Some man (I didn’t open the door so not sure if it was a member of staff) was knocking on my door at 10pm for around 10-15 mins which was a little scary considering I’m a lone female traveller Windows have no locks so anyone can just crawl in the room About a 25 minute walk from the main restaurant area
