7.1 Good
Pros: The location, property/rooms were stunning, very clean and modern. We stopped here one night on our way up from the east midlands to Glasgow, the owner was very welcoming when we first arrived and shown us to our room. A car is needed to travel anywhere but that wasnt a problem for us.
Cons: Food - stated a full English breakfast would be served in the morning. We went for breakfast at 8.30am and before we sat down the abrupt lady behind the counter said help your selfs here first then go sit down. Asked if we wanted tea/coffee ect and felt very rushed. She then said "Now its just a full English for breakfast" to which my partner said oh sorry is it ok if i could have no mushrooms or tomatos please and very sarcasticly got a reply of well what do you want then?! I felt the tension and i said he'll have just meat, toast, egg, no vegetables (typical man ay) When it arrived the 1 slice of toast you got each was cold, and my partner got 2 small slices of very over cooked bacon, a fried egg and 2 very small thin sausages. No hash browns, beans, nothing. I had just the standard breakfast and again mine, 2 rock hard bacon, 1 tiny sausage, an egg, 1 half grilled tomato and some mushroom which i didnt eat as i dont like them however felt too gulity to say after the way she acted earlier on when my partners asked for no mushrooms ect. Clearly our "Full English" has a different meaning down here than to up there. It was ok -

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. We was travelling with dog and we didn't had any problems to make a reservation. Our pupil was more than welcome like we did.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Ibis Carlisle itself is fine we have stayed many times.
Cons: We were continually being awoken from 0230 to 0515 by drunken males returning to their rooms and then wandering to each others rooms. They were often being led to their rooms by Ibis staff who did not help to control the noise levels. I reported this on check out to be told that it's sometimes like that when the farmers are in! I was advised to ask for a quiet room in the future.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Welcoming staff, excellent freshly cooked breakfast. Very accommodating.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: With only 2 months to go I'd rate this place as my find of the year. Located in a village only 6 miles outside Carlisle, it is easy travelling in and out. The Pub is traditional. Has a good range of Beers, Ales and Lagers that would suit any taste. The regulars are friendly and engage in conversation easily around the open fire that was fuelled up on a very frosty night (-2). The food is also very good; a wide choice of traditional pub food combined with many dishes you'd find in a restaurant menu. The breakfast is the best I have had in a long time. Good quality ingredients well cooked and prepared. The room I had was really big. Had a large comfy double bed, plenty hanging space, 40" flat screen TV, and the usual hospitality tray including biscuits. The bathroom was fantastic.....looked like something out of a showroom; everything polished, gleaming and spotlessly clean. I can recommend the Fox and Pheasant to anyone.
Cons: Looking at the place in my rear view mirror
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly folk, gorgeous food, fire in bar.
Cons: Rooms a little cramped but bed v comfy
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We stayed here for a family wedding and was allowed check in early and check out late which was great. Cons: It was a bit cold in the room and in bed

Pros: Adel was a wonderful hostess, an incredibly warm and welcoming person- born to own a B&B. We only spent 1 night here as we were going to a concert, but we had a very nice time and appreciated just how well we were treated by Adel. She makes everyone feel right at home. Our room was very warmly decorated, comfortable and clean. Do not pass up her wonderful breakfast! She is a great cook and so happy to please. I am a vegan and she went out of her way to make a special breakfast just for me... vegan sausages, vegan cheese, avocado toast... We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and would recommend her B&B.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It was well located, a 10-15 minute walk to the train station and easy access to restaurants and the town centre.
Cons: The room was a bit small and breakfast was late but breakfast was good and had I not been in a rush I wouldn’t have minded. A small desk to do some work on would improve the room.

Pros: The breakfast was delicious and always had to be told the night before. The host was fabulous and very welcoming. Nothing was too much. We were even given a permit to park the car in the streets surrounding the B&B.
Cons: It was very cold when I was in Carlisle and the rooms were a little colder then I am used too, but with the extra blankets it was much better.
