Cape May hotels near Easy Lynne Theater Company

Cons: Everything was fine except for... 1. How long it took to get me checked into my room because the girl at the front desk baby-talked each of the two individual guests in front of me, one at a time, rather than take the expedient course by showing everyone all at once the little details all guests needed to know. We were all standing right there, so it seemed to me that wasting other people's time like that was unnecessary and could have been handled better. 2. They stuck me up on the 3rd floor for no apparent reason, and I say that because it's off-season in Cape May right now so there were very few guests and I'm quite certain plenty of available rooms on the first and second floors. There's also no elevator. This was a work trip, I had just worked a 12+ hour day, and other than my suitcase which the concierge was nice enough to drag up there for me, I still had two laptops and other things and therefore had to make two trips up three flights of stairs. I really didn't like that, at all. In my opinion, any hotel with multiple floors should have an elevator. Making guests walk up several flights of steps just to get to their rooms is unacceptable. 3. The breakfast options on the card they give you, are limited. Also the times at which they will deliver it. If I recall correctly, the earliest they will deliver breakfast to your room, or you can even get it, is 7:30am. If you're on a work trip like I was, and you don't have time to be waiting around until that late in the morning, then if you stay at this hotel you'll likely wind up checking out and going out for breakfast on your way to the office instead.

Cons: That was raining the next day! Other than that it was a good stay!

Cons: The Bouler Room was closed Saturday Night :(

Cons: The fitness center is probably one of the least used amenities in any hotel, so the offerings aren't very robust. This holds true here as well. Two treadmills, an elliptical, a bike, and a bench with a rack of hand weights. My advice, pack a resistance band to beef up your options. It takes less space in your luggage than sock.

Cons: The hotel and grounds were top shelf. Nothing could have been better at Congress Hall. Cape May in January is understandable quiet; which is quite nice. However, many if not most the restaurants and businesses are closed.

Cons: We had a pricy suit and the room was terribly managed and furnished for the money we paid. Cleaning service was horrible. No room service and the food disgusting. They stole my expensive bottle of wine from the room on the top of it! Never again to this hotel!!!

Cons: I’m not one to complain, but this hotel was pretty much a letdown from the beginning. First, they gave us a room that faced the wall… The room was pitch black during the daytime… Because it literally faced the wall. When I asked to switch to a room with some sunlight, they told me it would be $10 more a night. Annoyed, I agreed to the up-charge and switched rooms only to find fecal matter smeared on the floor of the bathroom in the new room. Gross! The energy saving lightbulbs made the room seem uncomfortable and cold because of the fluorescent lighting. Also, the water pressure was nonexistent and it took 40 minutes just to wash the shampoo and conditioner out of your hair. We will never stay here again… I’ll make a reservation at a bed and breakfast instead.

Cons: Staff eager for guests to check out first thing in the morning

Cons: Unprofessional person at check in. Was carrying on two conversations while checking me in.

Cons: CHOICE OF RESTAURANTS IN THE AREA WAS NOT EXTENSIVE

Cons: We stayed at the hotel Macomber on the hottest weekend of the year, and the AC in our room did not properly work. When I went to the front desk to ask to have somebody fix it, the attitude I got from the front desk rep (the morning front desk representative) seemed as if, our particular room as had that problem before, and she knew of the problem but was not going to do anything to have it fixed. The AC was leaking and dripping the entire night on the floor, right next to the TV and other outlets (NOT SAFE AT ALL!). When we called later in the day to see if the problem was fixed, and the front office rep said nobody would be able to come to fix the issue. This place is not worth the amount of money that they charge...find a different hotel!

Cons: Though an interesting building, picture Bates Motel in terms of rooms. Stark, threadbare sheets, mattress about 2 inches thick. When my husband and I sat on the bed - we just had to laugh. The rooms also had a strange rose smell (like your grandmother's house maybe). For almost $200/night - that was it. No breakfast, no coffee, no amenities (i.e. pool), room air conditioner - basic. Way too much $ for the room.
