Pros (+) We have visited Cape May over a dozen times over the last 25 years (we were married there in 1992), and in that time we have stayed in several oceanfront hotels there. The rooms at the Grand were clean and comfortable, the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant served good quality food at fairly reasonable prices. Cons (-) Damp carpet in room. No bathroom vent fan. Too much chlorine in indoor pool. Loud hallway echoes from the glass. Uncomfortable bed and pillows. Just seemed overall dirty and dated. Oh, no coffee or tea too.
