10.0 Excellent
Pros: The relaxing off the grid feel!
Cons: It was perfect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Heaven. The staff were superb. I loved the gym/pool area. Oh, and the outdoor showers in the rooms are fabulous.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional in every way!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The cabins are private and luxurious. The water is all mineral water and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The loaner Mercedes are also great and makes it easy to pop into town or a quick wine tasting.
Cons: We weren’t told about prix fix New Years dinner when we made reservations at lake house restaurant. The adult pool had too many loud screaming kids.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Calistoga Ranch is like the most luxurious camp retreat you could ever imagine.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: This is about the 10th time we have been to the Ranch, thus repeat customers. The kitchen is very good and the attention to gluten free is appreciated. The staff is good but could use some added training, especially the dining service staff.
Cons: THe pricing is very high and, in my opinion, has reached the limit of reasonableness. Even though I can afford the costs, it is very high compared to other alternatives.

9.7 Excellent
Pros: Room was super comfy. Spa services were also great. And we had amazing time lounging by the pool. Thank you.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location.
Cons: Coffee machine was awful. Nice idea but only expresso shots were offered. Why not just put in Keurig pod machine for simplicity and convenience.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: He location was great!
Cons: But I was disappointed with the room, it was kind of 'old and tired' and the black, red and white color scheme was dated and was not relaxing feeling.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location and staff great!
Cons: Property old and a bit run down.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location was good. The poll area looked nice bit we did not use it. Same with the spa.
Cons: No elevator, little parking which was on an alley. Tiny dated rooms.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfectly situated in town and our particular room setup was great; a small sitting area flanked by two separate bedrooms (that were connected via a shared bath). Our adult daughter enjoyed a massage on the first morning and we stopped in at the downstairs pub/bar a couple of times for drinks before dinner.
Cons: The breakfast is minimal and not very good; the pastries were dry and not worth the calories. There is also very limited parking, so we ended up parking on the street several times.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Extra comfy beds, great mineral hot spring hot tub, free coffee & wine in Art Deco speakeasy
Cons: Strong fragrance in room, corridors need sprucing up
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Centrally located. Mineral hot tub & spa on site. Friendly staff. Bar and restaurant onsite. Coffee experience in the morning, wine tasting in the afternoon. Great little place!!
Cons: Rooms were on the small size, but the bed was comfortable. Otherwise, we weren't spending much time in doors so it didn't matter all that much.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The only complaint I had was with the heating and air. When I entered it was 55 degrees. I figured out the heating setting, but it was still cold by the bed when I went to bed early at 7 pm. When I woke the next morning, the temperature was perfect
Cons: See above

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great, as I was running the Napa Valley Marathon, and it was close to the start line. The breakfast was outstanding, and the owner put out a nice selection of pre-race food for us runners early on race day.. Although breakfast didn't start until 8:30 am, coffee and tea were available starting at 7, and there was wine in the evening.. The bed was comfortable. Wi-Fi was excellent as well.. The cleaning staff did a great job!
Cons: The room was very small, and had little shelf space in the bathroom. The window shutters were inadequate -- the light from the street came in more than we would have liked. Had to pay close attention while walking up and down the stairs, as they were steep, with narrow treads. If I were to stay there again, I would request a room in the back of the property, because street noise from traffic went on all night..
7.9 Good
Pros: The location, the outside garden area, breakfast
Cons: The towels were very stiff and rough
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Eggs exceptional, best meal very yumlicious
Cons: Na

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, king bed was very comfortable and staff helpful and courteous! Hotel pool and hot tub were very relaxing and clean and hotel grounds were well kept! Hotel location was great and near town amenities and great wineries.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Large rooms that were very clean and had updated bathrooms. Free breakfast was great and hotel was a short walk to town. The room had a mini fridge and microwave- ours had a balcony which was nice to sit out in the sun.
Cons: NA
9.6 Excellent
Cons: Comment FYI: We would have preferred heavier comforter on the bed. Over heating the room to stay comfortable at night isn’t the answer. Perhaps a heavier comforter in the winter and a light one in the summer. The extra blanket was only sufficient for one person.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable, convenient location, decent price and breakfast included!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great value considering everything else is pretty expensive around that area. The pool and hot tub are very nice and are open until 10pm. Breakfast was simple but very delicious Front desk staff very friendly and ready to help
Cons: A couple of minor things but nothing really
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was nice. I was with a group and we used the lobby couches to socialize. The staff also informed us of a grab and go bag we could sign up for since our race started before the breakfast opened.
Cons: That our room doors were outside.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were friendly. Room was a good size. Property was well maintained. Pool area was nice.
Cons: A member of our group had reserved a room with a private balcony. She was given a room with a public outdoor hallway leading to the room. Hmmm.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Great service and breakfast buffet. Very clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice property. Great location. Friendly staff. Breakfast was ok. Very clean.

Pros: Very charming. Very clean.
Cons: Staff was not very positive. Very strange way about behavior
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was excellent - much larger than expected and it was smooth check in and out! The continental breakfast was good and we are already looking forward to our next stay!
Cons: It wasn't so much a dislike but at check in they tried to charge my card though i had told them that i had already paid online through booking.com
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast buffet included muffins, oatmeal, fresh fruit and bagels, perfect after a rich meal the night before. Loved the fireplace/sitting area in our room, private jacuzzi in our bathroom, outside balcony was a nice feature. Very comfortable king size bed.
Cons: For some reason the bathroom was freezing cold, a cold wind was coming up through the bathtub fixture. Our room was on the street side of the property, so we did hear some traffic noise at night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable. The staff is helpful and AMAZING!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The tub
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s a cute little inn with a luxury feel. Located perfectly! You’re in the heart of Calistoga.
Cons: Nothing to mention.
7.0 Good
Pros: My room was in a great location off the main road. Minimal noise and the fountain added a nice peaceful touch. The breakfast was also a nice touch.
Cons: I didn’t like the fact that whoever cleaned my room tucked clothes that were out of the suitcases behind the bedside tables? I would have never discovered them if I didn’t realize some of my things were missing. Also you are in dire need of hot water. Only can have a 5 minute shower and using the jacuzzi tub is out of the question. That was the biggest disappointment.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really nice room. Good heavy continental breakfast (with yogurt, granola, hard boiled eggs, etc). Nice jacuzzi tub in our room, walking distance from great restaurants, shops, tasting rooms downtown.
Cons: Mini Fridge would have been nice. Otherwise it was amazing!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: It would be better if there would be less chlorine in the pool.
7.0 Good
Pros: The pools are definitely great. The rooms had been updated so they felt modern, the bed is very nice. I liked that there was a mini-fridge, microwave, and stove available. It was a good place to bring kids.
Cons: The snack bar at the pool was was cash only, not many snacks besides popsicles, chips, candy, & soda. You couldn't bill it to your room. The front desk was a little rude at checkout, plus $5 per person for pool access the day of checkout.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and hot tub
Cons: Pillows
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Massages were awesome and multiple different temp pools. The robes were great!
Cons: The mud bath not what I expected. Was not warned about how difficult they were to get into and out of as well as the warm mineral bath, resulted in huge bruises on inner thighs as step down onto hard slippery tiles dangerous
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Centrally located. Very nice pools. Staff was nice.
Cons: Not really.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The pools
1.0 Poor
Pros: The people were nice.
Cons: My daughter slipped down a flight of wet tiled stairs on her back. She was bruised everywhere, sprained wrist & whiplash.Someone working there saw the whole thing. they put a slippery sign outside & basically ignored the whole thing. I m so upset.
7.0 Good
Pros: Pools are amazing but skin was soo dry after. I've been coming here since I was a kid and you can tell there's less mineral water. The property is beautiful.
Cons: I really dislike that you MUST have a king bed or suite to have robe. We're paying a substantial amount of money for a luxury hotel, this is absolutely ridiculous. I requested a late check out on a Monday and they said all late check out have been exceeded. It was a ghost town on Monday. In addition the staff upfront was just mediocre in welcoming us. The cleaning staff were very friendly. I wish they also offered more food choices and beverages.
6.0 Good
Pros: The pool
Cons: The dirty stains in the hot tub
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: We paid almost $300 for a 2 queen beds for 4 persons , supposedly to be a room of 250sq ft but we were put in a regular room for 2 persons , 3 weeks ago we were but a much larger room for 3 person, but the receptionist said that booking .Com only book for 2 persons and demand that my wife to sign a paper to pay an extra $35 until I complained with the manager, bad experience with this place and will not recommended to anyone , bad management , go somewhere else Sheets are winkle, looks like someone seat on it and not changed
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Great place to stay, we really enjoyed!!!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: all of the above
Cons: how you set up exercises classes, that I had to pay first and not made clear and then be paid back later. not very clear nor friendly exercise people
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Calistoga Inn Restaurant and Brewery in Calistoga, you'll be on the riverwalk, just steps from Palmer House and 5 minutes by foot from Calistoga Hot Springs. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: There is a peculiar smell like stale beer or feet. There are shared bathroom (toilet and shower) areas; there is a sink in each room (but not your own toilet or shower so bring flip flops- it's like being in a college dorm). There are no televisions in the rooms. This is bare bones and our group did not enjoy their evening nor did anyone sleep well. There is also no air conditioning.

2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Fantastic location and amazing spa services
Cons: We have been going to his hotel for years, to relax and use the mineral baths. We had never before stayed there and encountered so many young children screaming, splashing and running about unsupervised by their parents.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Location

Pros: Awesome staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We really like the mineral pools
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff were exceptional The spa treatments were awesome The area/neighborhood was cute and super convenient The room was very clean
Cons: The room and facilities were dated. The price was way too high for the accommodations, not worth it at all. Though the restaurants were walking distance, it would have been a plus if some sort of cafe even kiosk was available onsite. The walls were paper thin, we could hear everything from our room. The bathroom was so small and the sink was way to low. I almost puked my back bending to wash my hands. They really need to update the rooms
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed here many times. Even though it is an older property it is kept up very well. The gardens are beautiful location is great and its very clean.

7.9 Good
Pros: Inn keeper very friendly. Breakfast great! Location ideal for us
Cons: Could not lock the door out the kitchen when we walked downtown for dinner and found it still unlocked when we returned. Chefs foidcwas terrific but personality lacking. Kind of grumpy
9.0 Excellent
Pros: OMG the breakfasts were to die for! The chef, James, is the absolute best thing about this B&B! Our friends stayed at another facility down the road and were so jealous of the breakfast we got! Full gourmet hot breakfast (example: poached eggs with beurre-blanc sauce and vegetables, pears and apricots poached in champagne and orange juice, thick sliced country ham), fresh baked goods (blueberry coconut muffins, almond cranberry scones), mimosas - all amazing. Plus homemade cookies and a decanter of port in our room each night. Also this is an awesome location easy walking distance to downtown. We were able to walk to dinner three nights to different downtown restaurants so we could enjoy wine with dinner without someone having to be the designated driver or the expense of an Uber. Would definitely look to stay here again.
Cons: The bed was a bit too soft for our taste, and the pillows are really thick, so if you like a thinner pillow bring your own, Not sure if they had other pillows available if we had requested them (I brought my own since I use a thin contoured pillow but could have never slept on the ones they had). And since this is an old house, the interior staircase is narrow and steep with a rope handrail so beware if you have any mobility issues at all (or like me are just clumsy). There is also an exterior staircase to a second floor rear entrance that was much more comfortable to use (particularly if you had enjoyed wine with dinner).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful craftsman house. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. Many things in place to make us feel welcome. Our breakfast was outstanding with home made pumpkin scones, yogurt, frittata, bacon! Have already started spreading the word to my friends!
Cons: N/A
10.0 Excellent
Pros: GREAT property. Breakfast was amazing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The homemade breakfast every day was a treat to look forward to. I loved having a different meal each day we were there. French press coffee on the table was another wonderful surprise. I appreciated the complimentary wine in the afternoon and also free, cold, water bottles to help ourselves to as we headed out for the day. Off street parking behind the property was nice
Cons: This was not a problem for me, but the inside stairs up to the second level are steep. If you have a problem with stairs, choose a first floor room.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Clean, close to our daughter, and across the street from Starbucks! Nice and comfortable and a unique, very California venue.

Cons: A couple of minor things but nothing really

Pros: The staff was nice. I was with a group and we used the lobby couches to socialize. The staff also informed us of a grab and go bag we could sign up for since our race started before the breakfast opened.
Cons: That our room doors were outside.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were friendly. Room was a good size. Property was well maintained. Pool area was nice.

Pros: The room is lovely and the grounds beautiful
Cons: It’s really expensive
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This is a very special property and it is lovingly cared for. The new restaurant” Sam’s” is a great addition. Also the cafe next to the large mineral pool is great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! We can’t wait to visit again
Cons: Pool!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The mineral pools from the geyser are always a pleasure - appreciate the adult only pool.
Cons: I have coming to Indian Springs for years. Unfortunately this time - over a holiday weekend - there was a lot of landscaping and construction. It's gotta get done sometime but perhaps not during high season. I was happy to spend my tourist dollars after the fire seasons. Zero cancellation policy and 100% payment up front is an issue for me.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were really welcoming, and the pool is an absolute dream!
Cons: I can’t think of anything!
5.0 Okay
Cons: The locks on the rooms are designed so that you can actually lock yourself out of your room - even though you have a functioning key card.

Pros: Location to my business meeting.
Cons: The office was locked in morning so I couldn't get the free coffee before mtg.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A simple motel with every detail well designed. Stylish finishes everywhere the eye lands. Very pleasant. Small pool and spa and steam room and sauna but just perfect size for mid-week visit
Cons: Minor issue: We went during winter and they were performing some maintenance to the stair structures, grounds no doubt look more charming in the spring and summer
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff, Sean was particularly helpful in the morning and provided some useful information on the local area. Also liked the pool area, very relaxing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Proximity to town and view from pool
Cons: A little motel-like for the price.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly.
6.0 Good
Pros: Remodeled, Starbucks coffee, refrigerator, front desk clerk
Cons: Lumpy pillows, uncomfortable bed, thin towels, housekeeping noisy outside room and pushy to give service early, construction/remodeling started at 7:46 am (we were on vacation and wanted to sleep in), a party at the pool one evening
5.8 Okay
Pros: Doing construction...check to make sure they are done :(
Cons: We complained about noise since we’d specified we we needed quiet. The manager was very nice and gave us a discount and offered a room change but staff person was rude and made things way worse first. First rule of customer service: Apologize. Second: Don’t be patronizing. Disappointing. Also, steam room not hot, sauna broken. Pool and hot tub nice but pretty small. Otherwise I have hope this place could be nice in the future. Just don’t over charge when it is.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: the hot spring pools and sauna
8.0 Excellent
Pros: There was no elevator to 2nd floor. We originally booked 1st floor
