Pros: The owner/operators were very friendly and helpful. The meals were wonderful and they always made sure we had water and snacks for the days of sightseeing and wine tasting
Cons: The adjoining road was at times a little noisy but it did not keep us up at night
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We love Embrace Calistoga! The location is great, there are a lot of wine tasting rooms and restaurants nearby that you can walk to. Chris and Brent are fabulous hosts, they made us feel welcome the moment we checked in. Their wine and cheese night is so fun and we got to meet the other guests. The rooms are nicely decorated and we loved every detail. Breakfast the next morning exceeded our expectations, we’ve never had a 4 course breakfast before and the food was nothing but delicious! 10/10 recommend, I promise you will have a relaxing fun time here! :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the ambiance and the Chris and Brent were wonderful hosts. The afternoon wine and cheese was a nice touch. Breakfast was beautifully done!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners were fantastic. Breakfast was over the top. Beds very comfortable.
Cons: No refrig in room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is well kept and maintained. The afternoon wine hour is the best we have experienced. Lastly, the breakfast was over the moon!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The eggs were extra fluffy and the bed was like a cloud! No kidding, the breakfasts were fantastic gourmet manifestations... Innovative and tasty and... healthy, according to Chris! And in the evening the cocktail time was a welcome respite on the porch with wine and delectable charcuterie et al, under the bell jar. Fun conversation with other travels was a bonus. Chris and Brent were the ultimate hosts with personalities to match. We enjoyed every moment being embraced by their warm hospitality.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: No review could do justice to the way Brent and Chris treated me and my family during our stay. They are superb hosts, their hotel is a jewel and Calistoga was the right place to stay in Napa Valley. Breakfast is some treat, and the wine and cheese afternoons are the cherry on the pie if you stay at Embrace. If you are planning on getting to know Napa, taste good wine and eat properly, do stay at Embrace and ask as many questions as you have to both Brent and Chris.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bret was absolutely amazing and the house is beautiful. The hospitality was the best I have ever had. I will not stay anywhere else in Calistoga.
Cons: Nothing, everything was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is the best bed and breakfast I have ever stayed in! Brent and Chris are the most wonderful hosts possible. The breakfasts are amazing, a true culinary perfection.
Cons: Nothing, it was perfect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and facilities are wonderful, but the owners are what make this place a truly fantastic place to stay. So kind, fun, and excellent cooks. They have truly found their calling and you can tell. Can’t wait to visit again!!!
Cons: Nothing, this place is perfect!

Pros: Great location just around the block from the main road in Calistoga. We could walk downtown and to dinner. Quiet area with large trees and flowers. We could have easily spent more time here enjoying the grounds and the pool although we were busy visiting wineries. The room was very comfortable.
Cons: Breakfast was satisfactory, nothing special. A very basic continental breakfast but there was fresh fruit salad. The ice machine wasn't working when we were there which was a little inconvenient.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room was very cleaned. The bed linens and towels didn’t have a softener smell like all all the hotels. They used good quality soaps, shampoo, conditioner, etc. Even the carpet was decent. Sorry. I despite carpets... overall it was a great place to stay in Calistoga.
Cons: Perhaps in a near future get rid of the carpets

6.3 Good
Cons: Construction noise in room and at pool
9.1 Excellent
Pros: The staff was extraordinary in terms of personality, knowledge, working with the guest....
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Clean and modern. Staff tried very hard to be friendly.
Cons: Totally overpriced. My breakfast there was not good. They got the order all wrong. Also had some really bad shrimp for lunch one day.
7.1 Good
Pros: It was clean and beautifully maintained. The grounds were stunning. The spa service was great!
Cons: Customer service was not up to par. We asked the staff for three things while staying. A second bike, as we only had one and they stated it would be on it way. Never received. Our AC went out, it took two hours and 3 phone calls to get them to our room. We called room service for orange juice one morning, 30 minutes later it wasn’t delivered so I called and canceled. Just no sense of urgency with this hotel which makes the experience differ in a negative way compared with other properties similar.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were quiet and spacious. Loved the private patio next to the oak trees.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I really appreciate the attention to providing service and ensuring a very enjoyable stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb resort, staff and facilities 10/10! The resort is one of the best I stayed at! Bonus is the free gym classes-amazing!
7.5 Good
Pros: Comfy bed
Cons: Very crowded
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Gardens, grounds, loved, loved mineral pools, friendly atmosphere, wine reception made my marriage celebration amazing ❤️, chocolate in bed, concierge day trip arrangements were great
Cons: Wished Mattress had a foam topper and mineral pools were open until 10pm.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Really loved the kind and quick to respond staff. Everything is super clean and nice. Free Nespresso, water, nice bathroom.
Cons: Our fridge was broke and got another one that never really got cold. No biggie as it was adequate for the kid's yogurt. Beverages provided for free but were not cold and satisfying. Room AC was broke but they worked diligently to fix and did offer another room for us. Relocating was a hassle with children so we spent the day at the pool. Speaking of pool, the nice big beautiful pool is for adults only. This is a great place for those who have yet to reproduce or have them out of the nest already. Although there is a small pool and hot tub at the back area which kids like well enough. For families, Indian Springs is what you want (unfortunately, they were full on this trip).
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff was excellent. Facilities fine.
Cons: The maintenance of the room was poor: A/C went out and had to call staff. Door jammed and they had to come and tighten the hinges, the return air vent just fell open and a screw dropped out in the middle of us watching TV. The TV system does not work and few channels, not even HBO.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food, pool and service. I do have to say however, there could have been better service in the loop area. There were times we couldn’t find towels or we had to walk in the restaurant to order food or drinks.
Cons: The bike chains were all rusted and about to crack.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The Facilities
10.0 Excellent
Pros: -Great Room...Fantastic AC (was over 106 degrees) -Free breakfast
Cons: Nothing...if I am nitpicking, the pool could be bigger and deeper.
6.3 Good
Pros: The breakfast was nice, location fine.
Cons: The pool and hot tub were closed, and there was no information stating that. In addition, they wanted us to move our vehicles first thing in the morning for repaving. They ended up canceling this, but not great for leisurely breakfast.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Bed was nice. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Towels were not thick and fluffy. Hard to dry off because they are so thin.

Cons: See above
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast, host, comfort
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Villa Mimosa is such a lovely property. Very close to downtown Calistoga. Our room was super clean. Our bed felt so comfy and super soft sheets. It’s very quiet there and peaceful. Every morning, there was a beautiful breakfast with mimosas! The staff is so gracious. Polly, the owner was very welcoming when we arrived. There’s also some nice seating areas outside, 2 water fountains, even a rooftop area to watch the sunset.
Cons: Nothing!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: 1st class all the way!!
Cons: Clean, quiet!!!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This is a very pretty, small B&B with plenty of outdoor space overlooking peaceful fields. The gardens are lovely and the ambience is very relaxing - just perfect after four days in San Francisco. Room - bed very comfortable, shower good and nice little area to sit outside privately. Breakfast was excellent. It’s a short drive to Calistoga from the Villa, a very authentic Napa Valley town with several good places to eat. The owners of the Villa are just great and very friendly — we enjoyed talking with them and learning about the area.
Cons: I loved Villa Mimosa - it was a delight to spend time there. I can fully recommend.
5.8 Okay
Pros: great location. Staff was courteous.
Cons: cleanlines, design of the rooms, sound insulation
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Extremely comfortable stay. Room was adequately sized and the bed was huge and super comfortable. Staff were al friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived to breakfast and when I left.
Cons: Slightly earlier breakfast, maybe from 08:00/08:30 not 09:00. Also, I don’t usually eat hot breakfast such as bacon so felt bad when it was made for me.
7.9 Good
Pros: Lovely setting just a short drive north of Calistoga's main drag. Lovely outdoor areas, including private patio off the bathroom. Clean, tasteful, and comfortable, with a very good bed and nice touches such as robes, high-end linens, DVDs/player, fridge in room, and microwave available on patio. Breakfast is ample and tasty. Hosts were very nice, responsive to our needs, and very promptly and cheerfully lent us a phone charging cable.
Cons: The indoor space was not good for hanging out. We stayed in Room 2, which is quite small and felt dark and airless since the one small window looked out on the patio--we kept blinds down for privacy (the other window was on the door from the bathroom to the patio, which also didn't really allow for much light into the main room). Only one chair for sitting, and bedside lamps are not good for reading. Breakfast is served on the outdoor patio, so vulnerable to temperature (and weather) extremes. Has more of a corporate feel than more charming B&Bs. Still, we're glad we stayed, and considering it's Napa Valley, it was more reasonably priced than a lot of places.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This is a little slice of Tuscany in Calistoga. The place is incredibly relaxing with comfortable beds with luxury linens to wonderful outdoor spaces. The staff, especially Maria, were warm and welcoming. The breakfasts were delicious and it was a nice touch to start the day with a Mimosa.
Cons: There were no issues at all.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The homemade breakfast every day was a treat to look forward to. I loved having a different meal each day we were there. French press coffee on the table was another wonderful surprise. I appreciated the complimentary wine in the afternoon and also free, cold, water bottles to help ourselves to as we headed out for the day. Off street parking behind the property was nice
Cons: This was not a problem for me, but the inside stairs up to the second level are steep. If you have a problem with stairs, choose a first floor room.

Pros: Best breakfast ever. The host was extremely responsive. Beautifully maintained building in a delightful town.

Pros: On our Honeymoon. Great location, beautiful cottage and a great host in Eden. Couldn’t recommend Brannan Cottage enough. Eden looked after us so well and even the small details were perfect
Cons: Nothing at all, could not fault the place!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property with incredible hosts who made us feel right st home. The guestrooms are small but private and have all the amenities you could need at a bed and breakfast. The front porch is perfect for lazy mornings and evenings and downtown calistoga is an easy walk for dinner, shopping or ice cream. We loved our stay and will definitely be returning!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best place we have stayed thus far on our six week tour of the Western US! Staff was exceptional!! Will definitely recommend to any friends headed to Napa Valley!!!
Cons: Loved everything!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our entire stay was wonderful, from the extremely comfortable beds to the fresh pastries and coffee each morning, restaurant recommendations, etc. The renovations they are continuing will only make it better. But what makes Brannan Cottage Inn so special is Eden, the Inn manager. From the moment we arrived to our last day, she was attentive to every detail. We would stay here again without hesitation. Thank you Eden. You helped make or family vacation very special.
Cons: There was a bit of construction going on, due to renovations. But, the Inn did everything in their power to make us comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The atmosphere is relaxing & quiet just what we needed,,thankyou to Eden for your lovely hospitality. We have travelled to many places & we felt comfortable. The rooms are elegant & classy.. Such a quirky place & up market with out the snobby ness...its a gem of a place
Cons: Needs a fridge in room ..just a small one
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room and bathroom are really nicely decorated. Bed super comfy. All sparkling clean and new we loved the Illy coffee machine in the room. There are bikes onsite that we could borrow and it was lovely to go around the area by bike, instead of taking the car
Cons: The room was really nice, but $360 a night is quite a lot of money for just a room, as there are no other facilities onsite. This is not a "boutique" hotel, but rather a bed&breakfast style of accommodation We were also dissapointed that there is no access to hot springs or mineral pools in the town of Calistoga. These are all privatized by the other hotels and access is not possible unless you book a massage or other spa treatment onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The attention to detail and the friendliness of the staff were the best.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Eden goes out of her way to make you feel at home during your stay. She goes above and beyond to help with recommendations and reservations for places in Calistoga, and she's knowledgable about the surrounding area. The outdoor area here is really lovely. Perfect for meals and happy hour when the sun is going down.
Cons: We are big breakfast eaters and could have gone for something a little more substantial to start our daily adventures. That being said, the croissants were delicious!
6.7 Good
Pros: The staff was good, but the room was tiny for the amount paid. Just an overnight stay, but more than $430!
Cons: Tiny room, no closet, super expensive - $399/night plus taxes

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hot spring pool and lap pool were excellent! Enjoyed the late pool hours as we had spent the day wine tasting. We were able to walk to restaurants for dinner and breakfast. The bathroom was remodeled recently.
Cons: The Calistoga Spa Hot Springs has been around as long as I can remember (I’m a native of the Bay Area). It’s an older resort that has done well keeping up to date and well maintained. I will be back!
7.1 Good
Pros: Location was great for traveling all over Napa and Sonoma. Great outdoor area, nice hot spring pools to relax in, walkable to all restaurants!
Cons: We were not able to get in to the spa the 3 days we were here. ☹️

Cons: Nice place, no complaints!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The pools! Clean and big rooms, location,...
Cons: Price :)
7.0 Good
Pros: The pools are definitely great. The rooms had been updated so they felt modern, the bed is very nice. I liked that there was a mini-fridge, microwave, and stove available. It was a good place to bring kids.
Cons: The snack bar at the pool was was cash only, not many snacks besides popsicles, chips, candy, & soda. You couldn't bill it to your room. The front desk was a little rude at checkout, plus $5 per person for pool access the day of checkout.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Low key family oriented place. Nice quiet town - differnet vibe from the towns further south in Napa. Friendly, clean and comfortable and only a 1 block walk to main street
Cons: Appears more of an upscale/premium offering based on photos of property, pool, etc , online, but it is more basic (but still nice!)
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Great place to stay, we really enjoyed!!!
5.4 Okay
Pros: Really nice pools. Good location close to towm
Cons: Rooms were not what I expected stayed on the bottom floor could hear foot steps all night and there was a noise not sure if it was from the pool but you could hear it all night

Pros: The beds were comfortable and room was clean
Cons: The pool: very small. The room: small and the lights on the mini refrigerator and the bedside alarm clock lit up the entire room at night. The air conditioning was super loud. No complementary breakfast which you would expect after paying over $400/night. The “spa” wasn’t quite a spa.

Pros: My first stay here and was very pleased. Helpful staff, beautiful grounds with lovely floral displays. Spa area well kept and at least during y stay not very crowded. Housekeeping does excellent work Overall a nice stay for adults and have already made a new reservation.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful landscaping & multiple comfortable seating outdoor areas. Nice grilling area. Amazingly friendly & helpful staff.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Location is convenient to town
Cons: The indoor spa pool steps were so slimy that I slipped as I entered the water and hit my head on the pool's cement edge. I notified maintenance and spoke to the front desk and asked to speak with the owner. We checked out early the next day because I felt the facility was unsafe. When I asked to speak with the owner she was unavailable and I expressed concern that the pool remained open because someone else could be more seriously injured. I had a bump on my head and sore neck for the next few days which ruined the remainder of our vacation.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location, nice facility, the spa on the premises is also wonderful. You can leave the car in the parking lot and have a relaxing experience, either in the pool, walking through the town, read, have a chat or just chill in the garden.
Cons: The bed was a little too hard for me.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: My stay at Roman Spa Inn was super relaxing. Thank you staff for always making my visit memorial. Roma Spa Inn “Rocks”
Cons: No breakfast
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is really close to a variety of great restaurants, and on Saturdays, the Farmer's market is just opposite. The interesting museum is also opposite. The pool and large hot tub are warm mineral water and so relaxing! There are plenty of areas to sit outside with a bottle of wine and enjoy the ambience and beautiful flowers.
Cons: The air conditioning unit was REALLY loud and woke me up during the night

Pros: I love this place--it's unpretentious, immaculate, friendly, and comfortable.
Cons: Our toilet ran??
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Very disappointed not what I expected
Cons: Customer service
7.9 Good
Pros: The spa was nice. The spa service was excellent. Massage therapist didn’t talk unless she had to ask a question or give direction, which I like. There to relax not for conversation.
Cons: The fact that we can back to the room from the pool to find a beetle bug in the bath tub. Since I do not do bugs, my roommate had to get a paper cup and when it crawled inside put a paper plate over it and ushered it back outside.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Roman Spa is peaceful, with beautiful grounds. We enjoyed the outdoor couches by the pool, a perfect place to relax and read. We brought our bikes and the staff was very kind to keep them in the garage. We appreciated the convenience.
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Calistoga Inn Restaurant and Brewery in Calistoga, you'll be on a river, just steps from Palmer House and 5 minutes by foot from Calistoga Hot Springs. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: There is a peculiar smell like stale beer or feet. There are shared bathroom (toilet and shower) areas; there is a sink in each room (but not your own toilet or shower so bring flip flops- it's like being in a college dorm). There are no televisions in the rooms. This is bare bones and our group did not enjoy their evening nor did anyone sleep well. There is also no air conditioning.

Pros: Cute right walking distance to town great breakfast wines they served 4-6 wonderful very accommodating
Cons: It’s not by vineyard like it looks like you can walk in yes there vineyards close by but the inn is not in a vineyard no tv in rooms mattresses very uncomfortable if I hadn’t prepaid none refundable I would have changed property because it was throwing my back out we had 3 people in a room for bed and breakfast which isnt there fault thought the room would be big enough to accommodate too small for 3 people 3 bed like a futon just off the floor hard as a rock like I said pillows and beds all subjective especially after 50 they need to spend on new mattresses
