Pros: Excellent location and the nicest staff I've ever encountered in Spain! Room was very well-equipped and clean. The breakfast buffet is one of the few that is actually worth the money! Parking (10 euros/day) is tricky but not impossible, staff will help you find the garage. They recommend you contact them beforehand so they can email you point by point directions to avoid local fines.

Pros: The breakfast buffet.
Cons: The parking situation is tricky. Not suited if you are on multi night stays at the parador as, if you need to drive your car to do some sightseeing outside of the city then come back later you may or will find that you do not have a space to park. This will involve going to the reception to be directed to go to the private parking facility down the hill by following their shuttle van and to transfer to this van to take you back to the Parador and be charged the €19.- per day fee!

Pros: The staff were excellent. It was not their fault that the Wifi did not work and there were no English speaking TV stations. Breakfast was good The room allocated was very comfortable
Cons: Wifi - no point in asking for it when booking and turning up to find that it is pre-dinosaur level Lack of English TV stations - not even American ones - would not have booked this hotel had we known this Terrible night's sleep owing to screaming teenagers outside the hotel from 3 am to 4.30 pm. Food in the snack bar -weird presentation and undercooked

Pros: Typical large chain hotel. Good breakfast.
Cons: Shame the swimming pool is closed from September. We were there in October in 29 degree (and higher heat ) so a pool would have been great. No furniture for sitting outside either. Weren’t here for a sun bathing holiday but some facilities for lounging at the end of the afternoon would be good.

Pros: Staff were very good although they did give us what seemed the noisiest room in the hotel. Location was good right on the edge of the old town
Cons: Our room was right on the street, therefore very noisy at night and we could hear everyone else in the hotel showering etc. Furniture and fittings very basic, bathroom small as was the shower. Breakfast was limited compared to other hotels. Have stayed in Caceres many times before use it as a stop off between the ferry and the Algarve and this was without doubt the least value for money hotel we've used, would not use it again.

Cons: They did not open the door when we arrived at 10 pm. There was no sign outside, we knocked and rang the bell. NO ONE came.. We had to walk with our backpacks to find another hotel at midnight. I have called hotels .com and complained but they are not providing the refund that I am requesting.
I need this refund because the hotel was incompetent in closing the doors for us.

7.9 Good
Pros: The beds were very comfortable. It was quiet with the window closed and the AC worked okay. The room was clean and functional. Absolutely fine for a travel hotel. Very reasonably priced but no frills. Free parking outside the front door in their own car park was excellent.
Cons: There is nowhere to eat close by so we went to the hotel restaurant next door. A help yourself buffet. Very cheap, so we couldn't really complain, but the food wasn't that great. But it was something before bed and kept us going. Breakfast was okay - again very good value not nothing special.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location and easy parking which was free!
Cons: Noisy. Lots of tour groups staying and eating there.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Plenty of parking. Not far from the old town centre. Manager very helpful in recommending a lovely friendly restaurant in the plasa mayor.
Cons: Breakfast, especially the bread!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: air conditioned room food and alcohol on site free parking close to a town. cafeteria food excellent
Cons: restaurant food very average. ( use cafeteria)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel clean tidy with big room staff lovely private parking on site
Cons: Was all goid
6.0 Good
Pros: Large enough room and nice staff
Cons: because it was out of town there was parking but we needed to pay for that facility which seems strange as there was plenty of space around the hotel TV was very small and reception and quality of the picture very bad
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff are excellent, location a bit out of the way but they called me a taxi into town which was only €7.00. Could say enough about the staff, cleanliness and the hot showers. I would stay again
Cons: Location, but a taxi to plaza Major cures that for €7.00

Pros: Beautiful characterful and atmospheric old building, mid 1800s, which retains many original features as it has not been ruined in the name of modernisation or 'over-restored'. Decorated attractively & creatively, in fact quite eclectic. I had a top floor 'suite' which opened onto a small balcony at the rear. No private parking, but there is a pay car park nearby. However once I'd learned to negotiate the one-way system I found on-street parking four nights consecutively within 200m. Good quiet location 5 minutes walk from the main square, & from some local bars where you can get coffee/breakfast (none offered at Alameda Palacete). I particularly enjoyed the extra glass of wine followed by a large brandy that were required late in the evening in order to get a decent night's sleep (see below).

Cons: This place scrubs up well for promotional photos, but... No plug in the washbasin. That should be made a criminal offence. A couple of lightbulbs in the room had blown (or the lamps were not working), and various fixtures & fittings were hanging loose on the walls or furniture. It would take the owners just a few minutes to check & fix these things, but they hadn't & it's so irritating. Presume they just don't care. Dust never killed anyone (quickly) but the layer on top of the bathroom mirror was thick, visible, & obvious. Hmm. Cleaning was otherwise adequate, I'm not an over-fussy person. I can sleep almost anywhere without difficulty, but the bed here was a challenge. The mattress was ridiculously uncomfortable as other reviewers have noted. I've had much better in some very humble places in developing countries.
