Exceptionally friendly staff. HUGE room. Fantastic bathroom facilities. Incredible price.
The staff I met were delightful and incredibly helpful by offering me directions, a map, advice on where to eat and what to see, as well as booking me a taxi for my departure and providing clear instructions for checking out. The biggest plus point for me was the shower, which was an absolute joy to use. The cubicle was roomy and both the pressure and temperature were spot on and easy to control. Although the property is located away from the historic centre of Cáceres, it is only a short walk away (5-10 minutes) so fairly convenient.
The room itself (joyous bathroom aside) was basic, rather cramped and a bit tired in terms of appearance. Squeezing past the end of the bed, pressing myself closely to the whitewashed wall all the while, to open/close the curtains/window became a tad irritating. The biggest problem I had was the noise coming from the other rooms. The hostal can’t really be blamed for this I suppose but it’s something to bear in mind if you’re the sort of person to fly into an uncontrollable murderous rage when inconsiderate fellow guests have loud conversations and watch the television at full volume late at night and into the early hours of the morning.
Stayed here for two nights, place is just outside Cáceres Plaza Mayor (10mins walk) in a quiet, safe neighborhood and ~25minutes walk from the train station. We only had backpacks (no rollaway luggages) so it was a leisurely walk from/to station along avenue and park. Very accommodating & friendly hosts, room was much bigger than expected for the price with a kitchenette (dining table, microwave & ref) and a living area. Had great recommendations on touring the surrounding areas and help in transportation arrangements prior to my arrival. The hostal did not serve breakfast on the days we stayed but there is a cafe nook just around the corner serving espresso & pastries.
Did not see any eating places for lunch or dinner close by the property.
Good location and nice girl behind the deck. For budget hotel it is very ok.
- I couldn’t find kitchen - Walls are like paper , so you hear everything like talking and pitiful attempts to sex and lousy orgasm.
Friendly and helpful staff and super close to plaza mayor. You can walk wherever you like and there's free street parking. There's a heater and AC in each room.
I wish there was a more of a cafe downstairs to buy fruits, yogurt or coffee for breakfast. There is a small vending machine. Very little bathroom soap so bring your own if you use a lot.
