We made reservations for our family trip. A few days before they decided to let us know they decided to take a whole week off for Easter vacation. 🙄 Who does that in the travel industry?! Anyway, told us they would switch our reservation to the airport. Thought that would be ok and thought we'd have our original reservation honored for what we paid. Landed at the airport, went to Budget, and they not only didn't honor our reservation, they also were trying to make us pay TRIPLE the amount of money we paid! Are you kidding!! YOU CHANGED OUR PLANS AND NOT HONOR THR PRICE!! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! Ruined the start of our vacation. Do not go with them! How ironic they take a week off for a religious holiday but don't hold up to the values. If I were everyone, I'd not go with them. 🤷🏻‍♀️ After wasting some time on our vacation, we found another car company who took better care of us. I don't recommend Budget at all.Reviewed 6 Apr 2024

Pros:Staff was very friendly and thorough in inspecting the car, telling us where the emergency equipment was, fluids in the car, etc.Cons:The security deposit was really high at $1600, likely because it was in a different country and a bigger vehicle. I was also not allowed to decline the insurance. There was a mandatory insurance of $13.99/day. The other option that coverage everything was $32/day.Reviewed 3 Feb 2020

Budget El Salvador did not have available the vehiPros:Terrible customer service to say the least!Cons:Did not have available the type of vehicle I had reserved through Kayak. They offered me a lower class vehicle for the same price. They wanted force me to buy a local insurance policy, advising me that Allianz insurance was not valid in El Salvador. I was very angry and disappointed and did not take the car.Reviewed 13 Nov 2016
