Cons: If I have to complain about something, I would say the breakfast price was a little expensive. The room was of a good size and the bathroom as well, I just found that the bathroom did not have enough surface place for our things. But these are really minor minor things.

Cons: The fried eggs at breakfast should be made to order as were the poached eggs. As it was the fried eggs continued to cook under the heat lamps and were almost inedible. My wife and I were staying in the hotel for 3 nights therefore had several changes of clothes. When we looked into the hanging space( there was no wardrobe) we had only 5 hangers so had to request double that number. There were no pegs to hang outdoor clothes. We used the ironing board for that purpose.

Cons: we had an issue with the shower but this was dealt with swiftly, which I would list as a positive. The pillows were very hard which resulted in a very interrupted sleep. The room was very dark and dated and the windows were dirty and unkept. Bathroom was also untidy verging on dirty with cracked tiles and dated fittings.

Cons: At breakfast the first day we were immediately asked about eggs and how we wanted them rather than waiting and letting us start with the cold food so the cooked eggs were delivered too soon and went cold whilst we finished the fruit etc, then on the second day we were not offered eggs at all We had a rather grubby shower curtain in our room. The spa/pool staff were not very helpful and a bit offish / dismissive and I found a little unhelpful - I was not told how to enter the pool from the changing rooms and wandered around in my costume past the gym equipment feeling out of sorts.

Cons: I got a room in the 3rd floor which was noisy for traffic. The toilet was noisy too. I only stayed for 2 nights and would have made more of an issue of it had I been staying for longer. The room rate was at the top end when compared with their local competitors (the Europa / The Fitzwilliam) etc) so I will consider them when returning to Belfast. Even so it’s still a good hotel but no longer my first port of call

Cons: Restaurant was poor compared to the rest of the hotel experience. Staff appeared poorly trained and organised, they were unaware of any special deals or menus for the day. (Even the tables were not set with the correct cutlery). Food was average at best, certaInly not worth the money, and main course arrived as soon as we had put down our knives and forks for starters, without extra sauces ordered, which eventually turned up after we had finished, completely cold!!. I was also overcharged for my bar bill, but as I did not spot this at the time, I was not able to complain.

Cons: Room (301) had a leaky/ dripping tap and the soap dispenser was broke/ off the wall (seemed to be damaged by some previous occupant and obviously waiting to be fixed). Room wasn't entirely ready for our arrival HOWEVER at the reception desk when checking in I did ask/ ensure that we were getting a quiet room as per my booking request and I suspect we were 'moved' to an even quieter room... On inspection the room was made up for 2 (and not 3 as we were with our child). I called reception to ask for linen and someone came up straight away to change/ make the bed so in the end no issues and it was dealt with to our satisfaction.

Pros: Great location mere blocks to central Belfast at a good rate for such a nice hotel in the center of a major city.
Cons: Parking was a little far away and pricey. Staff while hopeful weren't as friendly as I'm used to. That may be a cultural thing because I'm American and I had previously spent a week in the 'warmer' Republic of Ireland but I found the staff here and at other places in the North to be much less likely to greet you or strike up a conversation. Not a huge deal but for me it helps to make me feel welcomed in a new place.

Cons: I don't usually blast an otherwise-nice place for one single fault, but this was out of the realm of acceptable. Everything was fine until (too) early the following morning, when our bed positively SHOOK us awake for a good 15 minutes. It was the laundry truck downstairs. A disruption like that would be expected in a crappy hostel or AirBNB, but not at a supposedly-5-star hotel. I realize there's not a lot that can be done, but a warning would be one thing - we could have at least set ourselves up with earplugs, or not stayed up late planning the rest of our trip the night before. As it was we were both pretty much useless and irritable the next day, which is not desirable at any time, much less in the middle of a once-in-a-lifetime vacation.

But washing up liquid and tea towel were provided so we gave them a quick wash and it was sorted. •Tv's did not work well at all terrible interference, again we only stayed one night so no biggie.

However the hotel staff were delightful and gave me the phonenumber of the out of hours GP. I also requested many things during my stay such as hairdryer, more tissues and nee bedding and everything was done really quickly and by the most loveliest staff ever! Thank you ever so much for accommodating all my needs!! I am coming back in October for sure!!!! There is no where I would rather stay in Belfast!!! Thank you so much!!

Cons: Room i had was extremely noisy beside pub which playeed very loud boom boom music until 2 am in morning the whole room vibrated. I asked for another room about 11pm but was told hotel fully booked. hence did not mange to sleep until around 2.30am
