AC useful for hot days
Great location, we had a nice stay. Seemed like the bathrooms were newly renovated although the room itself could use a bit of an update. Nice pool and the staff were very friendly.
Had a great stay, pool and hot tubs are phenomenal and rooms were great. Everyone friendly and accommodating.
Charging for wifi is outdated and should be changed in my opinion. It is a common service for hotels to have free wifi nowadays. oh well.
Good family stay
We really enjoyed our stay. The kids liked the pool and the breakfast buffet. The location is outstanding. We went ice skating on the river just behind the hotel and had a great brunch at Melissa's across the street.
Location was amazing for walking to downtown. Pool area was beautiful.
Only thing I could complain about was the carpet in the room. It was old and needed to be changed. Stuffed up my family.
All around a pleasant experience
Central location, friendly staff.
Bed spreads near a serious cleaning, stains and frays are everywhere.
Great location. I read some reviews and thought the room wouldn't be that great but I booked it for location. The room I had was very nice and comfortable. I would stay here again. pool was also very nice.
It would have been nice to have 2 chairs on the balcony.
Nice location, but expensive
Very nice and clean room. Location fantastic.
Resort town so all hotels are expensive. Didnt like being charged for parking or internet.
Leisure facilities were excellent. Comfy beds too.
No free wi-fi. They charge $10-a-day.
Great location close to some of the tourist attractions in Banff. Very convenient walking distance to shopping and dozens of restaurants. Very nice staff. Parking garage was very convenient. Looked like an ideal facility for small conferences. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. Had wired internet in one wing -- speed 5Mb/1.5Mb. Nice shops downstairs off the lobby.
It was a bit pricey in the high summer season, but so were many other things in Banff. Extra daily cost for wifi and underground parking. Hotel was mostly quiet, but a little noisy when trains came through, not awful. Room layout and some furnishings were dated (mixed ages/styles), but the room was reasonably comfortable. Maintenance of some plumbing fixtures was deficient (I have no clue why housekeeping staff coordinates so poorly with the maintenance crew in many hotels such as this). My rating would have been higher if staff had bothered to take just 15 seconds of screwdriver time on the shower handles. Front desk person was unaware of wired internet, "We don't have that!" But they do in one wing. Be aware that Banff town is a significant distance from the Icefields Parkway.
Not bad - the location saves them
The location, close to the Banff main street.
The facilities need an upgrade, especially the bathrooms. They are really showing their age both in appearance and function. The hot tub and jacuzzi were tepid at best, and the pool was freezing.
Tucked among the towering pines and pristine landscape of the Banff area of Alberta, Canada is the Banff Park Lodge. A full-service resort and hotel, it is an ideal choice for those who want to surround themselves in natural beauty and enjoy direct access to the landscape itself. Visitors are only three miles from the Sulphur Mtn. Gondola and the Mt. Norquay Ski Hill and around five miles from Lake Minnewanka. The Cave and Basin National Historic Site is less than a mile away, as is the Banff Gondola and Centre. However, with the lush landscape surrounding the lodge grounds, and the many amenities and services on the premises, you may not want to wander far. There is an indoor pool, a steam room that features a eucalyptus infusion option, a fitness center, and hot tub, as well as three restaurants. There is an Italian restaurant, the Terrace Lounge, and a grill room. The lodge also offers in-room dining and custom menus. The lodge features more than 200 rooms, and every single one has a private patio or balcony to ensure you can make the very most of the views of Banff National Park and its crisp, refreshing air. The rooms are divided into Superior Rooms as well as Deluxe Jacuzzi Rooms, and an array of suites. All feature Wi-Fi, cable TV, hot beverage stations, a refrigerator, a large and private bath, and small sitting area. Ideal for a couple, family or group, the Banff Park Lodge is also a premium destination for events and weddings and is sure to create a lasting impression with each visit.
