Kayak and Avis both failed to notify me that an international drivers license would be needed. The people behind the desk at Avis said this was in the fine print. This is completely unacceptable and a detail this completely essential should be in bold red print. This should be better communicated to consumers to avoid such drastic issues.Reviewed 16 May 2023

Beware… AVIS will NOT guarantee your rental. I had a van reservation and planned all my trip with this van. To my surprise they DID NOT honor the reservation and ruined my travel plans… Their solution? NOTHING… they simply said, “We can’t do anything about it, go to the airport office and see what you can get.” Just like that… I lost money on my hotel reservations and travel plans. Pros:Their printers were broken and the actual car pickup is several blocks away. They give you a printout with directions and send you across multiple intersections and steep ramps to get to the -1 level. It's probably the worst / sketchiest car rental I've made and I've rented all over the world.Reviewed 25 Apr 2019

RIP OFFCons:Very difficult to get to Milan office, series of one way street, no place to park, stuck in Milan traffic jam for 2 hrs, therefore ,returning the car 1/2 hour late, charged me 100EUROS. Never rent with AVIS again!Reviewed 15 Jun 2017
