I’m honestly upset because I rented a vehicle for 1 month and that cost was cost to $600.00 dollars. I asked at the time of rental if I could extend it and was told yes only to find out that I couldn’t do a rental for more than 30 days. I would have to redo my contract. So I’m in Cody and the cost to extended it for 21 more days was over $2,000 but if I drove 3 hrs to Casper it would cost $1,500 after tax. So I had to drive a total of 6 hrs (3 hrs there & back) just to save a little over $500.00. Avis needs to do better. I don’t understand for the life of me why it would cost that much more. It’s not even the season yet when tourists arrive. I strongly recommend checking prices and also play around with picking up your vehicle in a different city to see the difference in pricing. I truly hope I never have to use Avis again.Reviewed 1 Apr 2026
