Pros: Very convenient location...great for kids...restaurant was fantastic. Juan was incredible, we wish we could have had him as our server for every meal. He has an incredible attention to details, took such great care of us and genuinely loves working at this resort. He’s a fantastic member of this hotel and made our experience special.
Cons: Some of the other staff lacked attention to details and had poor attitudes.
4.6 Okay
Pros: BREAKFAST WAS GREAT, I DIDN'T LIKE AGUACHILE THE SHRIMP HAS A DIFFERENT FLAVOR, BUT THE FOOD WAS OK.
Cons: BECAUSE THERE WASN'T CHANNELS IN ENGLISH AND FOR EXAMPLE I CAN SPEAK SPANISH BUT MY BOYFRIENDS ISNT, SO I SPOKE WITH CONCIERGE ASKING ABOUT IF WE CAN RENT SOME MOVIES WITH SUBTITLES AND HE SAID NO, THERE'S NOTHING IN ENGHISH, I CHOSE FIESTA AMERICANA BECAUSE I THOUGHT YOU CAN OFFER THAT.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Didn’t have a lot of time to look at the property.
Cons: After driving all day, we were looking forward to just enjoy the afternoon at the hotel. Didn’t get a chance to just relax and enjoy my stay. Balcony was filthy full of Pigeon poop, feathers and droppings from other birds. Smelly and unappealing to seat in a balcony with all that going on. Unacceptable..It’s not as if they were in high season. Had plenty of other rooms or options but weren’t able to take care of us. That hotel has seen better days. A/C very loud and noisy. Wish I had known, would have stayed somewhere else. To their credit, our receptionist was very nice but unable to offer us a better room. We ended up staying in an isolated part of the hotel’s wing. Never again, their loss.

7.4 Good
Pros: Location, outdoor restaurant and bar. It felt very safe and secure.
Cons: The bed and pillows were hard and uncomfortable. The side of the tin overflowed while I showered.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: very clean and the restaurant and night club were excellent
Cons: television needs to be up-dated and the programs need to be shown on a separate paer
7.1 Good
Cons: The WC was not working and they tried to fix it but it kept wasting water. They force you to buy water bottles and pollute by not having drinking water available for guests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great bathroom
Cons: It was just fine.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very well-located, grand old hotel. Very clean, nice bar. Big room in back of hotel. Fridge in room. Food was reasonably priced. Staff were helpful and kind.
Cons: No plug for bathtub, and no curtain for shower. The room was in the back with little light and there was a loud hum day and night from some sort of machine. I suppose we could have asked for another room, but this was a move from our first room, where the safe didn't work. We didn't want to keep moving rooms as we were tired from our travels. I did like it, and would stay again, but it wasn't outstanding.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location, on the main square, was ideal. We were not on the square-side of the hotel, so didn't hear the screeching birds at 6.00 am. The restaurant was very pleasant, although the huachinango a la veracruzana (the local dish) was not exceptional, and the Estribo bar in the same building was good.
Cons: The small, thin towels were a (bad) joke for a hotel of this quality. The washbasin was in the room itself rather than in the bathroom. The Diligencias is one of those hotels which vibrates continually, probably due to the air conditioning system; it's like being on a train or a cruise ship, and I found it difficult to sleep without earplugs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, very clean rooms, Late checkout, parking onsite, functional ac, cable tv, optional buffet.
Cons: There’s very few ac outlets.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location and wonderful staff

Pros: The location was great very central in Veracruz It had an old world style feel to it went easy access to restaurants and shops
Cons: The breakfast was only average
4.5 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: We were in town 2 nights for a Funeral. We left early the second day to go the burial and came back at 1pm. Our rooms weren't clean and asked the front desk to please clean them while we were going downstairs to lunch and we were assure of it. Came back 2 hours later and the rooms were still messy. It took them another hour to finally clean them (by 4pm). Then someone they tried to blame it on us because we were in the rooms which was obviously a LIE. Anyway, very disappointed by their service and lack of accountability. I would NOT recommend this Hotel.
7.7 Good
Pros: Sanbonrns restaurant in Hotel
Cons: Weak WiFi
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel close to shopping, port and museums. Bellman always available to help and get us what we needed. Pool area clean and comfortable. Water warm and refreshing sun invigorating!
Cons: Our room window looked out to trash and top of buildings would of preferred no window with a landscape picture.
6.7 Good
Pros: Didn't eat breakfast there.
Cons: The head front end manager was the most unprofessional manager i have ever ran across. First she made a small situation into a big deal. Stain sheets she yelled at me in public and charged me 500 peisos to have them cleaned. A friend stayed that night got sick diarrhea. He looks gay she had a problem with that.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff and location
Cons: No iron, keycards deactivated twice.

8.5 Excellent
Pros: Location is excellent, two blocks from our favorite restaurant, within walking distance from shopping district, and right in front of the main square, where most nights there's live music and other spectacles. The staff is excellent, very helpful and friendly. Everything was very clean, even if the rooms are not on par with five star hotels, they were comfortable. The air conditionig equipment, especially, was whisper quiet (i had to put my ear next to the grill to make sure it was working),Location is excellent, two blocks from our favorite restaurant, within walking distance from shopping district, and right in front of the main square, where most nights there's live music and other spectacles. Cons: .the first night we checked in Very late, at around 22:30, and were given a "Siberia" room, I guess the only ones available at the time. Room 303 is right next to the water cooling towers, and we spent the night with a horrible fan engine noise. We were so tired we were asleep in no time, but my wife had a hard time sleeping, beng the most sensitive of the group. We asked to be moved in the morning and the reception lady was very apologetic and told us the hotel was full, but she would definitey have a room after check out time. She was good on her word and moved us to aother room, facing the street and high enough that the noise was non-existent. The other thing we found lcking was the internet service. The first night our devices didn't detect any signal at all, so we thought there was no internet access. When i mentioned it the next morning, the front desk lady told us that indeed they had wireless Internet and gave me the password. On the new room we could find the wireless signal and connected right away. Alas, the service turned out to be very slow, almost unusable.

Featured amenities include a business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Free valet parking is available onsite.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very cute and well built, with a big swimming pool, a restaurant, private parking closed by a gate and it's in a calm and silent area. The hotel also provide a local map with a list of touristic attraction and tours. WIFI is GOOD! I booked for one day but I decided to stay two. The restaurant doesn't have a very big menu but the food is good with a reasonable price.
Cons: I found just one one member of the staff able to speak english. Some of the others clearly understand it but refused to speak english and kept on speaking spanish. That's not good. If you work in the world of tourism you MUST know and speak english. The sink in the room wasn't in the bathroom but in the room: that's strange because the bathroom was large enough to have it.
7.1 Good
Pros: The staff were very friendly and attentive. It was spacious and accommodating for the four of us. The apartment was very clean and the cleaners came every day.
Cons: No pans, plates etc. We had to request all cutlery and crockery. This was then brought to us. The pool area was very windy, the walls would trap the wind, so it felt more windy than outside in the street.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable, spacious, very clean, nice linens, nice to have a refrigerator. The restaurant serves a good breakfast, we didn't get around to lunch or dinner. Several other restaurants within easy walking distance. The valet parking was fast and easy to use. Staff was very accommodating.
Cons: Lighting in bath a little dim, but really, who cares? Good water pressure in the shower.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Liked that it was a 20 minute walk to the beach. Everything was such a view
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great rooms, friendly staff :)
Cons: It was a little bit pricey
10.0 Excellent
Pros: good location, nice room and facilities
7.1 Good
Pros: The hotel is in an ok location, not too far from the center, reasonably clean, has a parking and a nice pool.
Cons: Front desk staff doesn't speak ANY English but the security officer does, so the interaction was dependent on his translation. The room is a suite, but contains only one set of utensils. The toilet doesn't flush properly.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The personnel attention is excellent, the location is very good and the rooms are equipped with refrigerator and stove and cable TV.
Cons: The parking area is small

7.9 Good
Pros: This is a basic, clean and confortable accommodation in a quiet street of Veracruz and walking distance to the beach and historic centre. The breakfast is toast, jam, cereal or pancakes and coffee. The owners are very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The 8 bed dorm gets very busy when more than 5 people stay in the room. The bathroom.and shower are in the room which is convenient but allows no privacy whatsoever.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff were absolutly amazing! Amazingly helpful, found the hostel very social and a great atmosphere.
Cons: 10 bed dorm was a little cramped and dark
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The welcome was amazing and a great relief to be let in at 13.00 after a day of walking with my backpacks. I was shown everything I needed and as a bonus met a new friend in my dorm with whom I have continued speaking as we have gone our separate ways. The shower was easy to use and the beds were well kept with a great area to store my junk! I was also alerted personally of my taxi arriving on my day of departure which was very handy.
Cons: I would have appreciated the ability to have brought some food back into the dorms so I didn't have to buy something from a vendor. Also a table in the dorm would have been nice to sit down at to socialize with other traveller's.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Not too far from the zocolo. Close to the malecon.
Cons: This was the worst hostel I've stayed in during four months in Mexico. When I arrived, the person at the front desk had to pick a bunch of trash off of my bed! And then it was "cleaned" by someone wiping a dirty rag over it to remove some of the sand and various other small debris still on the mattress. The mattress itself had no cover or protector on it, and the sheets (you have to make your own bed) were threadbare - I'm not exaggerating. Absolutely disgusting. Thankfully I had a sleeping bag liner I could use. The facilities are abysmal. The 10 bed dorm room is TINY. The furniture on the rooftop is a bunch of broken down old wood pieces. The bathrooms are so small you can barely sit down. The WiFi doesn't work very well. The vibe here is also very strange. No one talks to each other. But there were people making noise in the dorm room until late (the person in the bunk bed above me was SINGING!) and then people started leaving very early. I barely got any sleep.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great hosts, really accommodating. Places is quite and clean. Couldn't ask for much more.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very good quality for the price. Basic, but very nice. I stayed in a private room; the AC worked great, a godsend in the Veracruz heat, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Awesome pillows! Bathroom and shower were very clean, and the rooftop terrace was a great place to relax. Amazing antojitos right across the street, with very friendly English-speaking staff there! Girl running the hostel was very friendly and helpful also. Recommend!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The amenities and the distance to eeverything I wanted to see in Veracruz.
Cons: Towels even though they are free they could be a full size towel instead of a hand towel. I am willing to rent a full size towel.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
1.0 Poor
Pros: The only thing I enjoyed was the view
Cons: This hotel has the worst customer service I have ever encounter. They did not offer bell boy service staff did not greed you at all. Everyone was very rude . No elevator in the parking área
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A small balcony that had a small view of the sea. Taxis out front when we needed one at 6am.
Cons: A bit of a walk to the zocolo but we like to walk and see the neighborhood.
6.3 Good
Pros: The view was amazing, as you can see from the hotel room the ocean and harbour. I definitely recommend to book a room with ocean view. The room service was very kind.
Cons: We paid 500 Euros for 3 nights and 2 rooms without breakfast. For this price we would expect a little fridge and that the bathtub is bigger and without chalk, which made the water tub difficult to open for the shower function. The phones in both rooms were not working. They tried to repare them but the next day they did not work again so we were first not able to call the room service. By checking out and looking under the beds to check if something was fallen down, I discovered under the beds dust of minimum 2 weeks which reveals that the hotel room was only superficially cleaned.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I did like the size of the room, the facilities were pretty good, the beds were comfortable and you had two choices of pillows to choose from so everything in the room was good. The location was the best part, walking distance from the market in the malecon and cafe de la Parroquia.
Cons: The A/C was loud and a little deficient. It took a while for the room to get comfortably or acceptably cool but it could be related to the size of the room because it was very spacious. No mini fridge available in the room

Pros: Nice, charming historic hotel, in an excellent location.
Cons: Would have been nice to have coffee available at the hotel.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location. Helpful staff.
Cons: No restaurant or bar or onsite parking. Small rooms
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Только расположение !
Cons: Cheating. Do not go forward. Absolutely not customer-oriented. I explain: When I chose the hotel I was guided, of course, by the photo of the room, and I liked the photo of the standard room. What was my surprise when, in fact, we are settled in a number that is absolutely not the corresponding photo in the description on the Book! Firstly, it is not 14 square meters. And at most 10-12. Secondly, there is no window in it. (The photo in the description of the window was !!). Feeling day and night the same thing, you do not know what time of day! I even had claustrophobia almost started. Naturally, if truthful photos were exposed, I would not book a room without a window! When I asked to change the number, because it does not correspond to what I chose, they started explaining to me in a rather aggressive manner that this is impossible. What other rooms in this category there. I did not give up, asked to show other available rooms. the receptionist girl rested, stood on her own and in every possible way expressed her displeasure with jerky, sharp movements. Finally, it turned out that there is still a free room, of a different category, larger in size, and 300 pesos have to be paid for it on top, even though it is near the toilet, also without a window, and there was a very stale air inside. I therefore refused. But why not mention this possibility right away? And not in 20 minutes? Type I booked "standard", then I have no right to stay in a room of another category, even with an additional charge? It looked like that. A little later, I asked another girl at the reception what time breakfast was. She answered at 10. I was surprised. But not asked again. At 10-40 we came with my husband for breakfast, and he was already half an hour over!

5.4 Okay
Pros: The only thing that I liked about the hotel is the location. The location is convenient.
Cons: The staff behind the desk can be a little more friendly and outgoing. I felt I was under the care of nurse Ratched. Didn't like that they could not exchange my money from dollars to pesos. I didn't like to see that the next day I noticed a customer change their currency. Every time I asked they said that they couldn't. I felt unwelcome.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is really good quality for money. Cheap, in the city center, clean. Provides towels and shampoo. Has a parking for free. Beds were big and comfortable and as two women travelling alone we felt very safe. Room has tv and airconditionning and was really big.
Cons: A bit old and rusty. Poor aound isolation.
7.1 Good
Pros: The rooms were clean and the gym and pool was good.
Cons: Staff is not doing anything to help you. We arrived at the hotel 07:00 after taking a nightbus for 8 hours. When we arrive the man in the reception says we dont have a booking, after showing our confirmation he finally lets us put our bags in the luggage room. When we asked for the wifi password to find somewhere we could have breakfast he said we can have the wifi password at 15:00 when we check in. We did not feel welcome at all! Every other time we asked the people in the reception for help we got short answers and it seemed like no one wanted to help us. Even the people in the hotel restaurant were rude!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Weekend breakfast buffet, proximity to center and the malecon
7.9 Good
Pros: The hotel building itself -- the interior, that is -- was quite beautiful. The rooms were adequate. I also loved being able to walk to the Malecon and the Zócalo.
Cons: I did think that the hotel should have offered the small bottle of water for free, rather than charging you if you used it. If the city's water system was totally safe, then I wouldn't mind, but as a foreign tourist not used to the water, it was not wise to drink it. I also thought they might have included a hairdryer -- or at least had a sign saying "If you want a hair-dryer, come down to the desk and sign one out." I really don't know if I am being fair because I don't really know how much to expect of a budget hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Price and location

Pros: We arrived quite early and they let us check in before the official time which was pretty awesome. The rooms are clean and the staff is very very friendly! The restaurants are walking distance and the architecture of the hotel is gorgeous.
Cons: The pool is quite small
7.5 Good
Pros: Location to the Zocalo was excellent (save the very dangerous crossing before the government building where buses came around the corner at breakneck speed without a turn signal). The square offered many restaurants and musical groups. The staff of the hotel were great. The tours offered in the lobby were great.
Cons: No fridge in the room! A must in Mexico. Just a little one, nothing fancy would have been nice.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff were helpful. Place was clean. Plenty of hot water. Good breakfast.
Cons: Overall the hotel was nice. It would have been better if a bottle of water was provided for each guest, there was only one small bottle for three guests.

Pros: Location was very convenient. Security was good. Cleaning service were professional and courteous. Self parking was helpful.

Pros: Clean, courteous and helpful staff, good location. Would stay there again without hesitation. Highly recommended.

Pros: Walking distance from Downtown
Cons: I understand you want to protect the mattress but the cover had plastic in one side that we had to remove it in order to be able to sleep, we were sweating so much !! We had a partial side view of the ocean. If the cleaning staff turns on the air condition, BE SURE to close the window in order to save energy. They put it on with the window open !!!
