Made a reservation 3 weeks in advance and no car available when we got there. To make matters worse the attendant didn’t seem to care. Went directly to Hertz 2 blocks away and got a rental. The people at Hertz were friendly and very attentive! Like it should be!!

Could have been better. Mesage on dashboard said one tire was low -- personnel should have seen that. Had to go in and get them to put more air in! Car wasn't washed and the windshield was full of bugs. Had to clean it myself. Personnel thought it was my privilege to rent from Hertz -- not the other way around.

When I booked I told them that my flight was getting into Valdosta at 5PM. No one bothered to mention that Hertz closes at 5PM. By the time I got to their office it was about 5:20PM. They were closed. There was an employee still on the premises but he refused to help. We had to pay about $180 for a Lyft to take us to our hotel in Thomasville (an hours drive) and drive us back the next day for a pick up. I would definitely not recommend Hertz to anyone. It was beyond stressful and horrible.

Cons:

Price for the car was expensive! Horrible pick up and drop off customer service! The windshield wipers were a mess, it could've caused a wreck from not working properly! The tires did not have enough air! The tires were not snow tires in winter!!!

Pros:

That we finally got a car the next day, but not what we reserved and it cost more money.

Cons:

Our pickup time was 5pm, we did not know the location closed at 5 & we missed them. Had to take a taxi to our hotel & another taxi back to Hertz at 8am. They said our rented car was gone, but how could it be? We got their just after it closed & arrived just before it opened the next morning. They gave us a small car for more money. EXTREMELY disappointed and won't be renting from Hertz again.

The car seemed fine until I got up to highway speeds. At speed, it shook horribly. I stopped and checked the tire pressures. Left Front 45, Right Front 45, Right Rear 45, Left Rear 23. I would guess the left rear tire is badly out of balance or the wheel is damaged. When checking tire pressure, I also noticed all four tires had cracked rubber on the sidewalls. I drove the rest of my trip concerned about a tire blow-out. Thankfully, I made it back without incident.
