Pros: Lovely place, couldn't be closer to the beach. Clean, comfortable bed, hot shower, lovely balcony. Really near Black and White bar and restaurant. Staff were really helpful and fun to be with. Breakfast was good and freshly made; be lovely if they could offer more then eggs and sausages, we did ask for a fruit plate and they were happy to oblige. Really happy with our stay.

Cons: They didn’t clean the room during the 4 nights I stayed. Only after I had asked several times they cleaned it.

Pros: Amazing location. One minutes walk to beach. Great hosts who were hugely helpful. Private parking off road. Plunge pool a huge bonus. Comfy beds. Delicious breakfast.

Pros: Friendly staffs, good breakfast. We played carols at night with the staffs. Location was very good. Worth the price.

Pros: Wonderful 3 night stay. Staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fantastic.

Cons: Room was dirty, dusty, mould in bathroom. Mainndoor didnt close properly, bathroom door jammed wouldnt open, aircon broken, coke and Fanta flat in mini fridge, basin broken show curtain broken, toilet flush held together with silicon. Breakfast at 9am no food on the buffet, served cold black coffee, ordered waffle twice didnt get them.

Pros: The property is gorgeous.....the location, rooms we had the pool access room which was amazing!! The breakfast view was good nd the breakfast buffet was also very good. Overall the food is very tasty.

Cons: Lack of training and information to the staff. We booked half board but we were not informed till we reached for dinner that they have a set menu. We were also refused a third meal out of the 4 main course options....as we could only choose one per person. My husband is allergic to shell fish and I had to be a little assertive to make them understand that he needs to get a starter which is not shellfish. They need to be a little more polished and trained. Very small things like if we need something in the room like a hair dryer we had to call a lot of times. Overall we had a very good stay.....the staff are very humble and polite. I would fullly recommend this place.

Pros: The service was amazing and the staff was great with a lovely attitude. Food service was execellent and tasty meals were served both in breakfest and dinner with a lot of attention to our personal needs as clients.

Cons: I think facilities and logistics could be renewed. Attention to very small details diverse 4 from 5 stars hotels.

Pros: The staff here were super friendly and could not have been more helpful. The breakfast is great too and you eat on the beach. My room was a little dark and smelt musty but it was clean. I left the window open during the day to help air it. You can walk outside and get buses to anywhere which was a big bonus. Lots of restaurants to choose from on the beach for the evening.

Pros: The location was great we took a dog to get his skin treated who we named (hyena) and sponsored. the staff wonderful but....

Cons: The room on the ground Beach front was ear a smelly creek which the mosquitoes loved

Pros: Liked · The beach view , sea breeze and closeness to the sea make this hotel an enchanting location in beautiful Unawatuna.Food is freshly prepared and tasty.food prices are fair.I work in Galle harbour these days I could find a lesser price for a room than here with these facilities.so room charges are utmost fair I say.staff is very friendly and specially Mr. Ajith and Akila delivered a very good service during our stay.Thank you Happy Banana Hotel

Pros: Location was brilliant. Staff were excellent, always happy to help. Food was good and reasonably priced. Very comfortable bed.

Cons: The air conditioner didn’t work the entire night even after we informed the staff about it and they took a look at it and said that it would work shortly.

Pros: Rooms and balcony were nice designed

Cons: AC option is twice expensive but didn’t work in a proper way, during 3 days there were no cleaning service, better don’t pay for breakfast - a choice is really poor, service is sooooo slow: it takes 30 min to get any drink, 30-40 min to get a food. Location is ok, but in case of not a seaview room there will be sounds from the road and a construction site. The beach is not so clean, lots of boats with a smell of gas. The best service and seafood is in Lucky Tuna, not far from the hotel.

Pros: Place is right at the edge of the ocean.it was beautiful.

Cons: The behaviour of the staff, they were not concerned about locals. The air conditioner was leaking water right on top of the bed.

Pros: Staff was extremely co-operative. I am thankful to them for their quick help whenever we requested something. Location was wonderful, right on the beach. The setup on the beach side was nice and comfortable.

Cons: Apart from staff and the location of the property, nothing is good. No wifi in the rooms, really bad wifi in reception, horrible bathrooms, no phone or television in room, fridge doesnt work, no mosquito net or All-out for mosquito problem. The price is just way too much for the quality of property, especially the rooms.
