Cons: Our room wasn't ready on arrival, we said we'd come back in a few hours to give them some time to sort it out, when we got back late in the afternoon and they gave us the key - they hadn't touched it. Towels all over the bathroom floor, beds un-made, rubbish over the floor etc. An oversite, but a pretty poor first impression to give your customers in what was otherwise a very pleasant hotel...

Cons: Very expensive and forced valet parking (17 Euro/day). Free wifi is of poor quality and cuts out often. The room rate is only good value if you pay a discounted price. The breakfast is priced at 22 Euro / pp. The rooms at the street-side are noisy. The insulation is mediocre (poor window frame fittings) and you will hear traffic noise all night long. The front desk is aware but warns that rooms on the backside of the hotel are also noisy due to garbage trucks coming through in the early morning.

Pros: I stayed in La Petite Auberge de St Sernin for two nights and had a great time. The bed was comfortable and they provided free locks for lockers. The patio is wonderful and a great place to meet other travelers staying in the hostel.
Cons: The shower was annoying to use because you had to press a button multiple times since it would automatically turn off. Also, the lockers were a little bit small. Lastly, they have a strict midnight like “shut down” where they kicked out everyone who was talking downstairs back to their rooms.
