pickup people were great. Location was a bit out of the way but easily reachable on public transport. My huge problem is that we returned the car about 90 minutes over a 24 hour period so they charged us an extra day of rental (at half price) which I was ok with. What I was NOT ok with is that they also charged (full price) and additional day of ALL the fees--insurance, tax, one way drop off, administration recovery, Vehicle rego recovery, credit card surcharge and prepaid tolls. All these additional fees were over $100 extra. I was not told at either pickup or return that these fees were charged daily. When I contacted them they would not refund ANY of these fees, not even a 50% reduction. I had a rental from Hertz during the same vacation and picked up the car a day early and was only charged ONE day of all those fees (for a 4 day rental) I will NEVER EVER rent from Thrifty again--it was highway robbery how much they charged and now I have to get the credit card company involved and it's wasting a lot of my time. For approximately $100 they would have been able to have a reasonably satisfied customer, but they sure don't now!Reviewed 20 Feb 2024

Cons:Reserved a 8 seater suv but thrifty refuses to give a car that is 8 seater even after showing proof of reservation. Receptionist said kayak has different code and that my reservation is for 7 seater. I feel cheated. We were 8 ppl traveling from us and I needed exact 8 seats. Will never do business with them. Disappointed, terrible serviceCons:Disappointed about the service and staff here.
I rent a car from 11:38 11/11/2016, for 4 days till 15/11/2016; then ask for 1 day extension till 16/11/2016 and did ask for return car late at 5pm on 16/11 instead of 12:00pm. A staff said it was fine and didn't mention anything about the charge we need to pay after 12:00pm.
I returned a car at 5:00pm on 16/11/2016 and was charged for 2 days extension and was told because any hours after 12:00pm was considered 1 more day rental. Another thing is that there was a cratched in the car before i took. when i returned, the staff went straight away to the cratched and told me to be charged for that. But i took some photos before i took the car , i told them about that then he said it's ok. so terrible.Reviewed 16 Nov 2016
