What a wonderful historical hotel.
We stayed over Christmas and loved this hotel. The hotel has been recently rennovated and was beautiful and historic. The lobby was gorgeous with historic pieces and a train set. The rooms were spacious and bathrooms were nice. I love the old doors on the rooms. There was a book in the room about the hotel, which was very interesting. Self parking was only two dollars less than valet.
Some of the front desk staff was great, some were not . The allure of this hotel is the history. I wish they had an expert on staff that could answer questions or give tours. Or make it part of the training with the Front Desk Clerks. All and all we loved the hotel
The lobby was beautiful! Staff very friendly and helpful.
The room was spacious, clean and the night quiet. The staff was professional and helpful.
No microwave or fridge in the room was a bit unexpected.
They didn't have any rooms even though I made prior reservations and prepaid for it.
The menu in the restaurant eleven waters needs a few more items to choose from, and the service was extremely slow
The front desk said that I could park I. A garage and use the bridge to head over. I arrived at 11 am and it's not the part of town you want to be walking in alone and I say that as a healthy 30 year old male. I park near the bridge, get all my bags, and when I cross the bridge to the hotel the door is locked. Now I've already paid for that garage and have a block and a half walk wth my stuff. The staff needs to be better educated and that will come with time. Besides that, the doors to the rooms are loud as hell but not bad as a whole.
